NFL Training

In lieu of a Rubio Long Snapping NFL camp this year, I will be personally offering private lessons in Northern Idaho. Spots are limited and I will not be taking a mass group.

After speaking with college and NFL coaches, scouts and agents, I was advised to run specific lessons, this year, with each NFL ready Long Snapper to offer more one on one interaction to give back to the scouts and agents. Last year alone, Rubio Long Snapping had ELEVEN Long Snapper earn tryouts based on Rubio Long Snapping film and my word.

For this year, Rubio Long Snapping will not be running a NFL Free Agent camp to focus solely on the private lessons with NFL Free Agents

One of the things the coaches, scouts and agents liked the most is that there was no bias. If you can snap and move at the next level, I tell them that. If you can’t snap and move at the next level, I tell them that as well. I don’t care if I have seen you snap at my camps or not. This is all about a bottom line with the NFL. You either are the full package or you are not.

With eleven guys getting tryouts, it is quite clear that my word is good and definitely respected.

The lessons will offer the following….

  • Private instruction with me in an indoor location
  • Film to review as well film to send out to agents and teams with my stamp of approval on it.
  • Game plan to get each Long Snapper ready for their pro day.
  • Detailed planning on meetings with agents and coaches.

I will get you ready, it is up to you what you do when you get there!

If interested, email Rubio@RubioLongSnapping.com as are limited and once they are gone, they are gone.

Rubio Long Snapper Jon Weeks is Mr. Consistent

iCongratulations to Rubio Long Snapper Jon Weeks on playing in his 100th consecutive game for the Houston Texans!

Weeks is from the class of 2004 Rubio Long Snappers. He has a long journey but his incredible work ethic has really paid off. Originally came to Rubio Long Snapping and did well at a January VEGAS Event but wasn’t ready for the big time….yet.

He came back in May, was dominant, earned a scholarship to Baylor and the rest is history. Weeks is a great story because of his dedication and size. You see, Weeks is about 5’10” which is definitely not the norm for an NFL Long Snapper.

Congratulations to Jon Weeks!

Rubio Long Snapping NFL Camp

291116_2368646975707_1857804060_oRubio Long Snapping has an excellent tradition of high school, college and NFL success.  Established in 1999, Chris Sailer & Chris Rubio have worked with thousands of youth, high school, college and professional kickers, punters and long snappers.

Over the years, they built strong and lasting relationships with high school, college and NFL coaches.  The trust that has been built based on on the field training/technique, evaluations and recommendations is untouchable.

NFL coaches have asked us to step deeper into the NFL recruitment process and the Long Snappers have asked us to set up a non-biased camp that simply showcases their talents for the NFL. We have made that happen with coaches present and high quality video being shot for each Long Snapper.

After the camp, Rubio Long Snapping will send out a detailed evaluation of each Long Snapper. This simple email sparked SEVERAL NFL tryouts last year.

Rubio Long Snapping and Chris Sailer Kicking will hold its 2nd Annual NFL combine March 17th in Las Vegas, NV.

Which Rubio Long Snapping Camps Should I Attend and When?

One of the most common questions that I get asked is, “Which camps should my son attend and when?”.

I have been running Long Snapping lessons, camps, and national events for over a decade now so I know what works out the best for the athletes. In a perfect world, here is exactly what I would do as a parent, and most likely will be doing before you know it.

6th Grade

  • If you feel your son is NOT ready mentally and physically, have him attend at least one Rubio Long Snapping camp as a spectator.  See what it is all about.  I would choose a 1 Day Camp in CA, NC, GA, TX, NJ, FL, WA or IL.  This will give you a chance to meet me and understand the way I work and speak.  Listen to instruction.  Become familiar and comfortable with the camp scene. There is no charge for this.
  • If you feel your son is ready mentally and physically, contact me and we can discuss him actually participating in a Rubio Long Snapping camp. I would choose a 1 Day Camp in CA, NC, GA, TX, NJ, FL, WA or IL. The sooner they get the form down, the better they will be in the long run. Once I get their form down, we just wait for their body to develop and BOOM, you have greatness.

7th Grade

  • If mentally and physically mature enough, I will allow a 7th grader to attend my camps. The sooner they get the form down, the better they will be in the long run. Once I get their form down, we just wait for their body to develop and BOOM, you have greatness.
  • If you feel your son is NOT ready mentally and physically, have him attend at least one Rubio Long Snapping Camp as a spectator.  See what it is all about.  I would choose a 1-day Nike Camps in CA, NC, GA, TX or IL.  This will give you a chance to meet me and understand the way I work and speak.  Listen to instruction.  Become familiar and comfortable with the camp scene. There is no charge for this.
  • Start private lessons with either me or someone I recommend.  Contact me (Rubio@RubioLongSnapping.com) and I will discuss the options.
  • Buy the Chris Sailer Kicking and Rubio Long Snapping Instructional DVD.  This is the best way to learn.  Plus, you can watch it over and over again.

8th Grade

  • This is the time to begin attending Chris Sailer Kicking Camps.  I would choose the 1 Day Camp in CA, NC, GA, TX, NJ, FL, WA or IL.  I would attend ALL 3 camps when Rubio Long Snapping comes to your region of the U.S.  We come to each of these locations 3 times per year (Fall, Winter / Spring, and Summer).
  • At this age, if mentally and physically mature enough (major bonus if they have been to my camps), they should start the Vegas Events. No one will expect anything from an 8th grader, so this should be the least stressful Vegas they will ever encounter. Once again, the sooner they go this, the better they will be in the long run.
  • Continue private and group lessons with Rubio and/or a Rubio Long Snapping private coach.  Contact me (Rubio@RubioLongSnapping.com) and I will discuss the options.
  • If invited, attend the Underclassmen “Invite Only” Event.  This camp is “Invite Only” is for the players and parents.  Learn about your future and how to handle it each step of the way.

9th Grade

  • Attend Rubio Long Snapping  Camps.
  • Attend ALL 3 of the  1-day camps in your region (CA, NC, GA, TX or IL).  We come to each of these locations 3 times per year (Fall, Winter / Spring, and Summer).
  • Attend 1 Camp in another state.  Start to get a feel for travel and other competition.
  • Attend VEGAS EVENTS in both January & May.  The time is now to see what it is all about.  See what it takes at every level (Fr, So, Jr, Sr, JC, College, and Pro).  The experience will pay off!!!  Time to set goals.
Continue to learn about your future and how to handle it each step of the way.

10th Grade

  • Attend Rubio Long Snapping  Camps.
  • Attend ALL 3 of the  1-day camps in your region (CA, NC, GA, TX or IL).  We come to each of these locations 3 times per year (Fall, Winter / Spring, and Summer).
  • Attend 1-2 Camps in another state.
Continue to learn about your future and how to handle it each step of the way.
  • Attend 1 Local College Camp.  These are essentially tryouts.  Go to get experience.  It will pay off for when it really counts.

11th Grade

  • Attend Rubio Long Snapping Camps.
  • Attend ALL 3 of the  1-day camps in your region (CA, NC, GA, TX or IL).  We come to each of these locations 3 times per year (Fall, Winter / Spring, and Summer).
  • Attend 2-3 Camps in another state.  Start to get a feel for travel and other competition.
  • Attend VEGAS EVENTS in both January & May.  This is the time to get your name on the map. College coaches will be setting up their recruit boards.  This is the time to shoot for “TOP 12″ and “Event Elite”!
  • Continue private and group lessons with Rubio and/or a Rubio Long Snapping private coach.  Contact me (Rubio@RubioLongSnapping.com) and I will discuss the options.
  • Attend Multiple College Camps within reason.  These are essentially tryouts.  Be realistic with your skill level.  Attend camps at all levels of college football (D1, D2, D3, etc.)
  • Attend the “TOP 12″ & “Event Elite” Camp.  This is an “Invite Only” Camp that brings together ONLY the best of the best.  You can only get invited by attending the VEGAS Events and proving that you are one of the best while competing again the best.  This camp is the ULTIMATE GOAL.  This is the best camp that you will ever attend, if invited.

12th Grade

  • Attend Rubio Long Snapping Camps.
  • Attend ALL 3 of the  1-day camps in your region (CA, NC, GA, TX or IL).  We come to each of these locations 3 times per year (Fall, Winter / Spring, and Summer).
  • Attend 3-4 Camps in another state.  Start to get a feel for travel and other competition.
  • Attend VEGAS EVENTS in both January & May.  The time is now to prove to every college coach in the United States that you are worthy of a scholarship or walk on spot.  Scholarships and preferred walk on spots will be earned based on performance as a Long Snapper!
  • Continue private and group lessons with Rubio and/or a Rubio Long Snapping private coach.  Contact me (Rubio@RubioLongSnapping.com) and I will discuss the options.
  • DO NOT stop working once you have decided on a college.  This is the #1 mistake made.  Work harder than ever as the next level is even more difficult. DO NOT REST ON YOUR PAST ACCOMPLISHMENTS.…It will catch up with you. Trust me.

College / NFL

  • Attend the College Camp each year to stay sharp and prepare yourself for upcoming seasons and an NFL Future.
  • Rubio Long Snapping will be holding another NFL camp this coming year. Last year’s was a great success with many Long Snappers being brought into NFL camps simply for their performance at the camp! Be on the lookout!

Chris Sailer Kicking and Rubio Long Snapping are the #1 Kicking, Punting, and Long Snapping Businesses in the World.  Feel free to ask around. We will teach and guide you from 7th Grade all through the day that you retire from the NFL.

ASK RUBIO – Redshirting in High School? Best Looking on 90210? Potential NFL Long Snappers? Liking Sailer?

Dear Rubio…

1) What are your thoughts about holding back/red shirting a high school student athlete for the sole purposes of giving them an edge athletically against their peers? 2) Also I need your 90210 expertise to settle an argument, Valerie right? (Tiffani Amber Thiessen)
JustStartingOut

-JustStartingOut….
Kelly-Kapowski-Pictures
It would depend on when you hold the athlete back. If it is done sooner in life, I feel that is better. When you get into the high school years, it could really mess with their demeanor as they will be losing a lot of friends at that point. Bottom line, if you are going to do it, do it EARLY.

As for the 90210 question (great one by the way), I have to go with Valerie (Tiffany Amber Theissen). How could I not after her dominant performance as Kelly Kapowski on the hit TV show Saved by the Bell!??!?!? The lady was one of my first crushes (as I have a feeling I speak for millions of other men my age as well that grew up in the 80’s and 90’s)

Dear Rubio….

You have explained to us how you are able to recognized college long snappers out of high schoolers, but what do you see in college snappers to be potential NFL Long snappers? Also, how can a snapper adjust to be a more appealing prospect?
-BGSU Long Snapper

Christian Yount

–BGSU Long Snapper….
There are a couple differences between a college Long Snapper and an NFL Long Snapper: Size (NFL Long Snappers usually are right around the 240+ range), Accuracy (an NFL Long Snapper might not always be the fastest Long Snapper you have ever seen but they should RARELY, and I mean RARELY miss….think two out of 100) and Blocking. The last point, blocking, is a massive aspect that kills a lot of guys chances at the next level because they either never did it in college (thank you spread formation) and can’t get used to it quickly by the pro day. The speed jump from high school to college is quadrupled from college to the NFL. Not being able to keep up with that jump is what kills hopes and dreams of a college Long Snapper trying to make the NFL.

At the Rubio Long Snapping College as well as the NFL Free Agent Camp, we will work on blocking a ton to make sure each Long Snapper is a more appealing prospect.

Dear Rubio….

Sailer and Rubio at UCLADid you like Sailer when you guys played together at UCLA?
-WonderingMomma

-WonderingMomma….
Yes, I actually did BECAUSE he never acted like a “kicker” 🙂 He would get back, do his little step thingy and kick the ball. IF he missed, he would never blame me (not that he could, I was throwing pearls back there) and just go to the next kick. He had very much a lineman attitude and, ironically, used to always hang out with me and the lineman.

VEGAS EVENT - 2014VEGAS EVENTS

As you know, the Vegas Events are the biggest and best Long Snapping camps in the world. They are truly a national event to see how you compete against the best in the nation, and world. The May Event, or VEGAS XXVI, is the second largest Long Snapping camp we run (VEGAS XXV in January is the biggest). The main difference is the weather and there are less seniors since many have already stepped onto their college campuses for their next stage of their life.

The Vegas Events are NOT an invite only camp. They are first come, first served. Long Snappers ranging from 8th grade – JC are allowed to attend.

This is the SUPER BOWL for Long Snappers. No other kicking event comes close to the exposure offered by the National Snapping Events. Rubio Long Snapping is, by far, the most credible recruiting source for Long Snappers in the country. TOP GUN groupFBU CAMPS

For the second year in a row, Rubio Long Snapping and Chris Sailer Kicking will be teaming up with FBU to run their specialists portions of their camps. FBU is the world’s largest football training service and has hired us to handle their Long Snapping section. It is an honor and we are proud to do it again. It is a top notch organization that benefits countless athletes across the country.

This year, Rubio Long Snapping will be running more camps in order to hit more areas around the country. To be able to do this, I will only be at certain locations. The locations in italics are camps that I will personally be at this spring and summer. Those not in italics, will have two senior Rubio Long Snapping instructors in attendance (staff members that have been with me for well over 30 camps). They will follow the same format as myself and report directly to FBU and yours truly.

We will be choosing the two Long Snappers that will participate in the US ARMY ALL-AMERICAN BOWL at the FBU TOP GUN CAMP in Ohio on July 16-18. Chris Sailer Kicking will also be selecting the East Bay Youth All-American for the Class of 2019 (Freshman All-American Bowl) and 2020 (8th Grade All-American Bowl) at the FBU TOP GUN CAMP in Ohio on July 16-18. You MUST be invited to the TOP GUN camp by performing well at one of the regional camps prior to the TOP GUN Camp. Bottom line, you will have to do well at one of the camps, that the Chris Sailer Kicking staff  is in attendance at, to pick up an invite from myself and/or one of my senior instructors.

Christian YountNFL FREE AGENT CAMP

  • March 3, CA

You (the specialists) asked for it, you got it. They (NFL coaches) asked for it, they got it. As you know, Chris Sailer and myself have always run the biggest and best exposure camps for high school Long Snappers and kickers. Now it is time for us to move completely into the NFL realm to give the needed exposure to our college athletes.

Chris Sailer and myself have been asked COUNTLESS times to run a free agent camp since it is something that has been lacking for quite some time in the world of specialists. It is now time. This one day camp will be a showcase for NFL coaches. There will be little coaching (you shouldn’t need a ton if you are at this camp) as this camp will all be about exposure. NFL coaches and personnel will be on hand to personally see the Long Snappers in action.

In order to attend this camp, you must be out of college and be eligible for the NFL draft.

You can register for the NFL Free Agent camp HERE (spots will be limited)

Rubio, Saban and SailerCOLLEGE CAMPS

TOP 12 & EVENT ELITE CAMP

This camp is open ONLY to those invited personally by Chris Rubio. You are chosen to attend this camp by performing extremely well at either the January or May National Snapping Events in Las Vegas. Do NOT sign up for this camp unless you have been formally invited by  Rubio. Former “TOP 12” and “EVENT ELITE” members includes countless college and NFL players, All-Americans, NFL Pro Bowlers and Super Bowl participants.

Top 12 and Event Elite - 2014Some Long Snapping “TOP 12” Alumni: Christian Yount (Cleveland Browns), Justin Drescher (New Orleans Saints), Aaron Brewer (Denver Broncos), Jon Weeks (Houston Texans) to name a few.

The “TOP 12” is chosen after the January Event (VEGAS XXV) and the “EVENT ELITE” is chosen after the spring Event (VEGAS XXVI). There are obviously 12 chosen for the “TOP 12” and there is no set number for the “EVENT ELITE”. Those that deserve it and are top of their class in May, get chosen…it could be one, it could be 20.

The success rate of those we have been selected in the past that go on to play college football (most on scholarship) is over 95%.

Invites go out after each Vegas Event.

Underclassmen Invite Event - 2014UNDERCLASSMEN INVITE EVENT

You will almost think of this Event as a baby TOP 12 & EVENT ELITE Camp. This two day event is a camp that Rubio Long Snapping will be completely gearing towards the athletes and their parents/guardians. This camp is meant to not only get the athletes headed in the right direction in the beginning of their high school careers, but also the parents as well. It will provide information regarding nutrition, social media, recruiting, film, education and, of course, on field instruction. This event is just as much for the parents/guardians as it is the athletes!

College recruiting for Long Snappers is finally getting where it needs to be. Scholarships are being offered earlier and earlier each year. Early exposure is necessary these days. The Rubio Long Snapping Underclassmen “Invite Only” Event is the perfect opportunity to make a name for yourself and solidify your national ranking at the perfect time. The middle of the summer is now the time college coaches build their underclassmen lists. You want to be on that list. This camp will get you there. It is also your first opportunity to prove that you are a “TOP 12” candidate in your class. The camp is set for early July for a reason, college coaches asked us to do this. They want the inside track early. Don’t be surprised to see more and more underclassmen offered during the season in the near future.

There will be formal meetings/classroom sessions on individual topics such as: Training (what level is right for the underclassmen athlete, how often, proper techniques), Nutrition and Lifting (Good habits, bad habits), Social Media (Setting up and using the proper social media outlets – this has become a must), Filming (proper angles, techniques, times, set up), Education (the importance of it, standards, year by year plan)

Invites go out in May.

It turns out that five Rubio Long Snappers impressed the scouts enough on their pro days to get invited to camps across the country. I couldn’t be more proud of these guys and I know everyone is cheering them on.

  • Chris Maikranz (Lamar University) is headed to camp with the Houston Texans
  • Drew Howell (Oregon) is headed to camp with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers
  • JR Carr (Tennessee) is headed to camp with the Washington Redskins
  • Trevor Gillette (Rice) is headed to camp with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
  • Ryan Iverson (Colorado) is headed to camp with the Detroit Lions.

Rubio Long Snapper Mike Zupancic Earns Honor!

Rubio Long Snapper Mike Zupancic of Eastern Michigan has won the Special Team Awards MVP for his team!

That, in itself is impressive enough, being, and I hate to say it yet again, a Long Snapper, but what is really amazing is that this the SECOND time he has won the award for Eastern Michigan!

Look for Zupancic to be picked up as a free agent right after the draft. He has a terrific frame and snaps rockets. Zupancic snapped, on scholarship, all four years at Eastern Michigan.

Congratulations to Zupancic and don’t forget to embrace the plate of cookies he took as well. Well done!

Rubio Long Snapping and Eating Contests, Huh?

Rubio Long Snapping alum Christian Yount has had an interesting career. He was the top rated high school Long Snapper in the country. He played for UCLA .He was signed by the Tampa Bay Bucs after being undrafted in 2011. There are stories he even has challenged eating phenomenon Takeru Kobayashi to a food eating contest.

His current endeavor is being the Long Snapper for the Cleveland Browns. He was signed by Cleveland in late November of 2011. Yount solidified himself as a Dawg Pound favorite in Cleveland after executing a nice forearm block on Ray Lewis of the team’s hated rival Baltimore Ravens in the 2012 season.

The 2012 season resulted in 2 assists on tackles and two solo tackles. He seems to have found a home in Buckeye Country. This warm weather guy seems to be performing well in frigid Ohio.

The 2013 season looks promising for the young Browns and Yount as they mature in a very tough NFL division. We’ll keep you posted on this Rubio Long Snapping grad as he continues to progress.

We’ll also let you know if Kobayashi ever responds to his eating challenge!

Free Agent vs. Draft Pick, Does it Really Matter?

When players in the National Football League, join a team, many are signed as part of the draft. A draft pick occurs when NFL teams evaluate college players and offer them a position on the team within the 7 rounds of the Draft. Although it is the most known solution, it is not the only option and sometimes a team will decide to sign a player as a free agent.

Free agents are the players who are not drafted in the Draft to a specific team and have the freedom to sign a contract with any team. In many cases, the free agent is a player whose contract has expired or who has not yet signed a contract. Long Snappers in general are signed as free agents, either coming out of college or during their NFL career. Most specialists are signed as free agent, although it is becoming more common as of late to be drafted.

So, what’s better being a draft pick or a free agent?  When you look at it with a large lens there isn’t really a difference, nothing is guaranteed in the NFL. Just because a player is drafted, doesn’t guarantee them a spot on the 53 man roster. Most mid to late round draft picks definitely do not have much of an advantage over free agents. These players are evaluated throughout mini camps, off-season workouts and training camp in which they have equal chances to showcase their talents to make the team.

Every team is different in what they are looking for and will strategically draft and sign players accordingly. In the world of Long Snapping most Long Snappers are taken as free agents after the draft. This obviously doesn’t make a difference in regards the Long Snapper, because they make the team regardless if they have the talent to do so.

Keep an eye out after the Draft later this month to see which Rubio Long Snappers were signed as free agents.

Athletes at All Levels Can Get Use Out of Twitter

Here is an article that I had published in my local paper, The Lewiston Tribune, a couple week ago, that I think you will enjoy. Embrace:

Last Wednesday, the Lewiston Tribune printed an article by longtime coach Nick Menegas. The article spoke of social media, Twitter to be specific, and the negative effect it has on today’s athlete and society.

I read it and was confused. Although there are some negatives with Twitter, as there are negatives with anything, there are also tons of great aspects about it that I would like to shed some light on.

Who am I and why listen to me? I was a long snapper (the guy who snaps the ball to the kickers) at UCLA. I am now a private football coach who is based in Lewiston. I train long snappers at camps across the country.

That is merely one aspect of my job. I also rank them and help them get to colleges. Last year, I had over 75 of my long snappers go on to play college ball. I am a very avid user of social media. I encourage my athletes to appropriately use social media to stay connected and promote themselves.

Twitter (think of it as merely mass texting in which you get texts/info from those you choose to follow) is a great thing that can be a valuable asset for people and businesses. In the Lewiston sports world alone, think how much easier it would be for parents if the local high school had a Twitter account to immediately announce highlights, pictures, scores and players during the games to family members who maybe can’t be in attendance at every single event. Imagine simply looking at your computer or cellphone and getting updates about your son’s/daughter’s game since you couldn’t make it all the way up to Coeur d’Alene. Wouldn’t that be great?

Twitter can be used improperly, of course. Just like anything, put it in the wrong hands, bad things can happen. Can it hurt an athlete’s image? Absolutely. Here is the best part about Twitter: If I am a parent and I don’t like what “Joe Athlete” is saying on Twitter, I simply don’t follow them. If I don’t follow someone, I don’t know what they are saying and it doesn’t affect my children or me.

Twitter can also benefit professional athletes and their fans. Coach Menegas mentioned how all he knew about Jim Brown was what he read about him on the sports page. That is true, but why wouldn’t you want more from someone who you admired? Imagine how much more he could have benefited from Jim Brown if he was allowed a bit more into his personal life. Maybe see him as more than just a jock? Maybe showing a fun personality? Maybe hearing Jim Brown offering up advice on football or life? Maybe hearing his thoughts on a movie, a restaurant, a game, etc.? Maybe making him more accessible and therefore more human?

And, in saying that, imagine how much Jim Brown could have benefited from Twitter. More fans mean more endorsements, which, in turn, would mean more money for him and his family.

Twitter, and social media in general, should not only be utilized by professional athletes. Social media needs to be embraced whole-heartedly by the youth. It is a way for them to follow their dream school, maybe a college athlete they like, a coach they would like to contact (the NCAA has not sanctioned against this, so why not utilize it?) or even have a conversation with other fans.

The world of sports, like the rest of the world, has changed drastically since the days of just reading about your favorite athlete in the paper. Think about it. You now have several all-sports channels on TV and radio. And, with Twitter, the sports world has become even more visible and immediate. Society wants things now and Twitter allows that for the fans and the athletes.

The world is advancing, changing and getting quicker. It is not stopping and either you get on the train or be prepared to get ran over.

“Without continual growth and progress, such words as improvement, achievement, and success have no meaning.”

Long time Rubio Long Snapper Christian Yount has signed an exclusive rights tender with the Cleveland Browns!

Translation: the Browns REALLY like Christian and are locking him in before his contract expires next year. Think of it as buying your lady a pre-engagement, engagement ring:)

As you know, hopefully, Christian has been with Rubio Long Snapping since 2004. He was the first Long Snapper ever to be offered a scholarship his JUNIOR year in high school and he is the only Playboy All-American ever chosen….two times, too!

Average Long Snapper Salary in the NFL

In this day and age of the NFL player salaries have increased drastically and the guaranteed amounts have as well. For this past 2012 season the Rookie NFL minimum salary was $390,000.

Long Snappers are no exception. Jon Condo of the Oakland Raiders is the highest paid Long Snapper in the NFL at a base salary of $1,200,000 per year. The list goes on with the top ten highest paid Long Snappers all making over $500,000 per year.  Former Rubio Long Snapper and current Houston Texan Jon Weeks made $540,000 in 2012.

With the average length of career for Long Snappers being much higher than your average player, Long Snappers stand to earn a healthy living for many years. Obviously training, precision and health play a major role in long term careers.

Rubio Long Snapping places many Long Snappers in the NFL and is the key to helping them create these long term careers.

Long time Rubio Long Snapper Justin Drescher Signs New Contract with New Orleans Saints!

Long time Rubio Long Snapper Justin Drescher has signed a new, four year deal with the New Orleans Saints!

Drescher is a 2006 graduate out of Southlake HS in TX. He attended many Rubio Long Snapping camps and was a TOP 12 member that finished a 5 Star Long Snapper. Went to Colorado on full scholarship and never stopped improving.

He is coming off a terrific year where his punter made All-Pro. Originally mentioned here, there is no doubt Drescher should have received All-Pro as well. Seriously, I am pretty sure the punter never kicked a ball that Drescher didn’t basically hand to him.

When I congratulated Drescher on his new contract his response to me was something that fills your heart….”Thanks Rubio. I appreciate what you have done for me and helped me get to this point.” Embrace

Congratulations to Justin Drescher!!!

Chris Sailer Kicking and Rubio Long Snapping Alums Square off in Denver this Weekend!

This weekend’s Divisional AFC Playoff game in Denver, CO featuring the Baltimore Ravens vs. the Denver Broncos includes two Chris Sailer Kicking and Rubio Long Snapping alums. The featured alums are both rookies and stars in the making.

Justin Tucker, Kicker for the Baltimore Ravens is having a phenomenal season and was just a few votes away from being selected for the Pro Bowl. Tucker has connected on 30 of 33 field goals this year and has been a reliable asset on special teams for the AFC North Champs Ravens.

Denver Broncos Long Snapper Aaron Brewer is another standout Rookie out of San Diego State. Brewer has started all 16 games this season and will look for his first playoff victory this weekend. Brewer beat out veteran Long Snapper Lonie Paxton in training camp and has never looked back.

Look for these two Rookies in the game’s most critical moments to see who comes out on top.

Chris Sailer Kicking and Rubio Long Snapping are proud of the success of these two great football players on and off the field.

Good Luck guys!
