Recap of the 2017 Fall NJ Camp

Rubio Long Snapping traveled to NJ on October 8th, 2017 for their fall camp. Rubio Long Snapping will ravel the country this fall instructing Long Snappers and getting them all ready for the season and beyond!

Long Snappers from LA, NH, NY, CT, M, MS, VA, NC, PA, MD & NJ all traveled to this camp to get the best instruction and exposure in the world of long snapping.

Here are the RSI Scores from the NJ Camp.

The overall winner of the camp was Joe Shimko (NJ, ’19). Shimko was actually the winner of the accuracy AND speed competitions! Shimko is no stranger to being a champion in NJ as he also won both titles this past July during the summer camp. He is one of the most athletic Long Snappers in his class and he can rip the ball back to the punter. He handles pressure very well and doesn’t get fazed at all. Great upside and I love his attitude. His win earns Shimko a free admission to the VEGAS XXXI Event this January!

The finals in NJ were between Joe Shimko (42.11), John Morton (26.67), Bryan McNamara (25.81), Corbin Robertson (25.30), Dillon Hayes (25.00) and Austin Mosier (22.54).

You can see the full finals video below….

TOP 2018 LONG SNAPPERS
-Dillon Hayes is accurate, consistent, handles pressure well and is literally always in the mix of the finals. The bigger and stronger he gets to increase the overall speed of his ball, the better he will be with his snapping.
– Nicholas Wissinger is thick, strong and was absolutely ripping the ball back to the punter. Timed him in the .6s at times!
– Tyler Cobb is big, strong and moved really well on his feet for his size. Looks like a college athlete right now.
– Matt Gannon has great athletic ability and a tremendous attitude.
– Corbin Robertson is a big Long Snapper with extremely quick hands and great overall power. Lowering his butt and getting set will really increase his overall speed.
– Matt Macaulay showed very good upside with snaps in the high .7s and solid athleticism.

TOP 2019 LONG SNAPPERS
– Adam Guillemette was on fire all day and absolutely trying to put a hole in anyone that stepped in front of his snaps. Kid snaps heat, has a great attitude and great upside.
-Stephen Sokach-Minnick moved very well on his feet and can easily get in the .7s when he snaps the ball with full power. Upside is off the charts.
– Evan Davis is built like a brick house with great power and an excellent attitude. Moved really well on his feet for his size and can easily hit in the .7s.
– Brandon Hurst never stops improving and has the potential to be one of the best Long Snappers in his class.
–  Donato Crisanti continues to grow towards the sky with his height and his snapping. Smooth Long Snapper.
– Zachary Zimmerman moved really well on his feet and hit times under .8
– Austin Mosier is massive and has great upside.

Recap of the NJ Spring Camp (5/7)

Rubio Long Snapping traveled to New Jersey on May 7th, 2016 for their spring camp.

Long Snappers from CT, MA, MD, NJ, NY OH, PA, and VA all traveled to learn from the best instruction and the most exposure possible for Long Snapping.

The overall camp champion was Nick Tibbetts (CT, ’18)! Nick won the accuracy part of the competition and fended off Kasey Kelleher (OH, ’17) – also the horse in the competition – in the championship round. Nick is a big, strong long snapper who was very accurate and all over the Rubio Zone all day. He wasn’t rattled by the pressure and scored back to back snaps to win. Nick showed a ton of potential through the whole day and capped the camp off nicely!

2016

Chris Sayan

Chris Sayan

Chris Sayan (NJ) showed some very good speed and accuracy during the competition round and snapping live to punters after. Recently committed to Princeton, Sayan has all of the tools to be a great one down the road. VERY consistent Long Snapper that snaps a catchable ball.

Dylan Nadeau (MA) improved a tremendous amount throughout the day and showed a lot of promise with his great follow through and attitude. Flexibility was very solid and he has good upside.

2017

Kasey Kelleher

Kasey Kelleher

Kasey Kelleher (OH) was the top 2017 Long Snapper at the camp. He was snapping bullets all day (was timed in the mid to high .6s!) and almost came back to win the whole competition from the speed round. Kasey is one of the top ranked Long Snappers in his class and after his performance it is clear why.

Billy Taylor (NJ) had the best form at the camp, and was snapping pearls all day. He has started to put on quality weight and his ball has really picked up a lot of speed. His accuracy continues to be solid and he is really growing into a high quality snapper.

Ryan Cassidy (NJ). He is a very athletic Long Snapper who processes a lot of speed and power. I don’t think he realizes how hard he snaps, and because of this aims a little higher than he has to, but once he gets that release down he will be dangerous.

2018

Jack Hadley

Jack Hadley

Jack Hadley (NJ) has busted onto the scene as of late. He is a very big long snapper, but is so smooth in his snapping motion. It almost looks effortless for him as the ball hums back to the punter. Really excited to see Jack continue to grow and compete in upcoming camps.

James Rosenberry (OH) was snapping pearls all day at the New Jersey camp. His form is almost as perfect as they come, and uses it to generate great speed and a tremendous spiral. Once he fills out a little bit he will be ready for the next level.

Michael Vojvodich (VA) made a lasting first impression at the camp. Very long frame and good athlete who snaps a very nice tight spiral with good accuracy. If he can tidy up his form and get rid of his little hitch he will be fun to watch.

Notables: Scott Lavelle, Ty Cobb

2019

Dom Serapiglia

Dom Serapiglia

Dominic Serapiglia (PA) showed a ton of potential for his age. Very big body and snaps a very smooth ball. Needs to get set and stop wiggling his fingers so much before his snap, but very small tweaks and he will be very good. Athleticism will be key to him really moving up the charts down the road. Good upside and works hard.

Notables: Evan Davis, John Morton, Austin Mosier

2020

Connor Rhinehart (PA) shows a ton of passion when it comes to long snapping. Extremely attentive to all instruction and holds his own against older competition. Only time will tell how great he can be.

  • KEY POINTS:
  • My rankings are NOT done just from The Rubio Target and will always be announced when they are completed on social media.
  • My rankings are NOT done from some mathematical formula.
  • My rankings ARE done by me and my several select member of my senior staff. That is why they take a good amount of time. (Think of it this way, it takes MONTHS to build a Rolls Royce but only hours to build an average car)
  • My rankings are based off of this blog I wrote about what makes a Long Snapper great.
  • If you would like anything added to your profile page, simply email me (Rubio@RubioLongSnapping.com) the information and consider it done.
  • All Long Snappers are ranked after their first fall camp of their freshman year in high school.

A Long Snapper has the ability to adjust their ranking anytime I see them LIVE, not on video.
