Recap of the IL Spring Camp (4/7/18)

Rubio Long Snapping traveled to IL on April 7th, 2018 for their fall camp. Rubio Long Snapping will be traveling around the country this spring with stops in CA, NC, WA, NJ, AZ, IL, GA and TX with all camps leading right into VEGAS XXXII on May 12-13, 2018!

Long Snappers from 15 states and two countries all traveled to this camp to get the best instruction and exposure in the world of Long Snapping. The camp was a great time had by all with an excellent group of Long Snappers and parents.

For even more exposure, The Subway Alum prep recruiting site came out to get some interviews, take some photos and see all about the Rubio Long Snapping camp in IL.

The overall champions of the camp were Adam Guillemette (speed) and Brendan Beattie (overall). Beattie was the overall winner of the camp and did great all day. In the finals, he got very hot and only missed by inches a couple times. Ball is quick and he is one of the most athletic Long Snappers in his class. He absolutely crushed the agility section of the camp. The determination on this kid is off the charts. Really impressed with Beattie all day long in IL!

TOP 2018 LONG SNAPPERS

Niko Johnson

Niko Johnson is driven, very coachable and was showing some solid pop throughout the day. Niko is always improving and right on the cusp of greatness.

Sage was consistent all day and has a great attitude. Form is good and his hands are quick.

TOP 2019 LONG SNAPPERS

Adam Guillemette

Guillmette had a great day in IL. He is very athletic and has some of the quickest hands in the country. His follow through is off the charts and he ended up winning the speed competition.

Jude Pedrozo was smooth and consistent all day with snaps in the high .7s to low .8s and tremendous athleticism.

Tyler Shaw moved very well on his feet and can hit in the low .7s when he really lets the ball fly out of his hands. Great upside.

Casey Voichahoske was very solid all day in IL. Snap speeds are consistently in the .7s and he is always improving.

Kuper Imrem was impressive with a very powerful frame and snap speeds to were in the .7s. Really excited to see him at VEGAS XXXII in May.

Brad George continues to impress me with his snapping form and overall speed. Hard worker that is always improving.

Charlie Gambs has a great attitude and snaps with good power. Smooth ball that is consistent.

Nathan Tokar did very well and is always improving. He is starting to snap with great quickness as the ball is really jumping out of the gate well.

Patrick Szczesniak is overflowing with potential and right on the cusp of greatness. Could easily make TOP 12 at VEGAS XXXII in May. Keep a close eye on him

Mark Fuchs showed great athleticism and consistency. Excellent attitude and very coachable.

Thomas Peterson is a massive human being with lightening quick hands and is always improving. Strong as an ox.

Samuel Weisbrook might have the most potential of anyone in his class. When he can fully go straight back, he could easily be one of the best ever.

Joey Wilson is extremely athletic and listens well. Coachable Long Snapper with quick hands and great determination.

TOP 2020 LONG SNAPPERS

Byron Floyd

Byron Floyd was outstanding in IL. Great, strong frame and he can rip the ball back sub .75 at 15 yards. Watch this kid at VEGAS XXXII in May. TOP 12?

Nelson Pipes was throwing heat with his quick hands and running around with great athleticism. Really impressed with Pipes all day long in IL.

Christo Kelly has a big frame, good form and is smooth with his snapping motion, Locking down his follow through will push him over the edge. Keep a very close eye on him at VEGAS XXXII in May.

Luke Barnes showed great athleticism and was snapping the ball sub .80 throughout the whole day. Very impressive Long Snapper.

Mick Bastuga is coming along nicely as his body matures. Strength is starting to knock on the door and the lower he gets his butt, the more speed he gets on the ball.

Samuel Merryman is an outstanding athlete with a terrific frame that has as much upside as anyone in his class. Kid is a stud.

Zach Pitsenberger was awesome athletically and snapped a consistent ball.

Toby Davidson made it to the finals and was inches away from winning the whole camp. Long frame with room to put on some good size.

Jonathan Duff is a very flexible Long Snapper with excellent potential. Very close to greatness.

Will Halkyard followed through like a champion and was one of the smoothest Long Snappers at the camp.

Jaden Mueller impressed me with his athleticism and his consistent snaps.

TOP 2021 LONG SNAPPERS

Matthew Hale was very athletic in his movements on his feet and snapped a consistent ball throughout the day in IL.

Mike Seybold has a great attitude and is always improving. Locking down his spiral will help a ton.

Erik Meeks can get the ball back sub .85 when he really lets the ball fly out of his hands and snaps with confidence.

TOP 2022 and BEYOND LONG SNAPPERS

Alex Eleopoulos moved very well on his feet and has sneaky speed on his snaps. Loved watching him snap throughout the day in IL.

Drew Kegebein is only in 5th grade and was very impressive with his poise and power.

Recap of the GA Fall Camp

Rubio Long Snapping traveled to GA on December 3rd, 2017 for their fall camp. Rubio Long Snapping will travel the country this fall instructing Long Snapper and getting them all ready for their season and beyond. Following GA, Rubio Long Snapping will head to AZ on 12/10, OH on 12/17 and then the Super Bowl for Long Snappers, VEGAS XXXI on January 1-15, 2018.

Camp Champion Oscar Shadley

The overall champion of the camp was Oscar Shadley (FL, ‘18). The current #1 Long Snapper in the country and Virginia Tech commit has had quite the week. Friday, he received his Army All-American jersey and on Sunday, he dominated the GA Camp. He is thick, strong, moves well on his feet and is smooth with his snapping motion. Ball jumps out of the gate well and can easily be under. 75. Handles pressure very well and is beyond accurate.

TOP 2018 LONG SNAPPERS

Oscar Shadley

Oscar Shadley had a great day in GA. Looks ready for college right now, let alone in one year. He has zero wasted movement with his snapping motion. Very smooth Long Snapper that can continue on for as long as he wants

Cade Long looked exceptional in GA. He is thickening up well and snaps one of the smoothest balls in the country. It is a joy to watch him snap a 15 yard snap as each one is exactly the same. Smart Long Snapper.

Evan Dvorchik came up from FL and left no doubt he is one of the top Long Snappers in his class. His ball has picked up some good speed and he is always improving. Love his attitude and the more athletic Evan becomes, the more dominant he will be.

John Raines can snap some severe heat and has some of the quickest hands in the country. His hands are so quick it can be hard to time him. Body is looking solid and he continues to be on his way to greatness.

Payton Dunagan looked very sharp with punt snap times consistently in the .7s. Flexibility is off the charts and he continues to improve. Best I have seen Payton look!

Trey Corley was solid in GA. Body is great and he can easily pass an eyeball test. When Trey is on, he is very on and can easily snap at the next level. The more Trey can drive his upper body through, the more dominant he becomes.
Sam DeLuke is big, solid and has a great attitude. Powerful Long Snapper that can easily get the ball sub .75 when he is on. Great upside.

TOP 2019 LONG SNAPPERS

Quentin Skinner

Quentin “Mad Dog” Skinner was an absolute machine in GA. He is thick, powerful and very strong. Zero wasted movement with his snapping motion. Easily can get punt snaps well under .75. Mad Dog is the best Long Snapper in the country and with his consistency, I don’t see that changing soon.

Drew Little was exceptional in GA. I have seen him many times and this was easily the most dominant I have seen Drew. Body is solid and he has a fluid snapping motion that allows the ball to just appear in the punter’s hands. Drew is never stagnant and always improving. NC State got a good one.

JC Vega was snapping absolute fire all day long and was the overall speed champion with times in the low .6s! The ball was actually picking up speed along the way and was so fast, you could hear it humming. Body is muscular and the kid is a pure athlete.

Christian Johnstone was solid in GA. Body is good and he can pass an eyeball test quickly. Consistent Long Snapper with great upside. The more he drives his upper body through, the more college ready he becomes.
Griffin Kaye had a great day in GA. Athletic Long Snapper that can San the ball with some good heat on the ball. Fluid snapping motion and speeds sub .75. Very excited to see him at VEGAS XXXI.
William Wagner had a great day in GA. Body is thick and he has lost some weight. Body is looking good and he has improved his snapping. Best I have seen Wagner look and he seems poised to grab a TOP 12 spot at VEGAS XXXI.

Speed Champion JC Vega

Carson Knight was snapping some good heat and left no doubt he could be one of the top overall Long Snappers in his class. Love how he snaps with so much power and passion

Zach Lassiter is one of the most athletic Long Snappers in his class and is easily a factor on the punt coverage team. Locking down his spiral will be key in moving forward. Definitely could be a TOP 12er.
Doug McLaughlin made it to the finals again and proved he is one of the most consistent Long Snappers in his class. Very nice frame and he can pass an eyeball test quickly.
Mason Napper is thick, strong and powerful with a smooth snapping motion. The lower he gets his butt and the more he snaps with full power, the more dominant Napper becomes.
Cody Olszewski was smooth, accurate and consistent. Thick bodied.
Luke Payne continues to be one of the most accurate and consistent Long Snappers in his class. Every single snap for Payne is the exact same. Kid is like a machine. Strength is going to be huge for Payne as we continue to advance.
Nathan Tokar was smooth and accurate with good form and a thick, strong body. Driving his massive chest through will help his overall accuracy and speed.
Mark Fuchs is athletic, built well and has quick hands. Getting his legs to catch up to his hands will be key in getting his snaps ready for college level speeds. Great attitude and he works hard.

TOP 2020 LONG SNAPPERS

Jacob Zuhr

Jacob Zuhr was a machine all day in GA. He left absolutely no doubt he is the top sophomore Long Snapper in the country with a great attitude, tremendous handling of pressure and speeds that are ready for college right now. It is almost shocking to see just how good he is. Zuhr is flat out great and doesn’t seem to be letting up.

Zane McCracken is coming off an injury and looks to be headed right back to greatness. He has grown up and his body is looking solid. Driving his head through ad leaning back will be huge for McCracken.
Jake Foggia continue to impress me with his great form and how he is starting to handle pressure. Ball is getting faster and I like his attitude. Jake is always improving.

Zane McCracken

Jackson Worthen had a great day in GA. Form is excellent and he can be consistent with speeds sub .80 and even dip into the .6s! Locking down his accuracy and improving his athleticism will push him way up the rankings.

Blake Hooker came all the way from Texas and showed just how good he is within his class. Form is good and he has quick hands that will get his ball sub .80. Locking down his spiral will be a major key at VEGAS XXXI.
John Bergeron has great form and solid upside. Needs to make sure he is not aiming too far downfield when he is snapping the ball and that he snaps with great confidence at all times. Great attitude.
Miller Jones was smooth, accurate and can be one of the best Long Snappers in his class.
Will Albright has all of the tools to be a great one. True athlete that moves well on his feet and can pass an eyeball test quickly.

TOP 2021 LONG SNAPPERS

Zach Taylor

Zach Taylor did really well in GA. His form is well beyond his years and he can even dip into the .7s when he is snapping with some great power on his punt snaps. Strength and confidence are going to be keys moving forward. Keep a close eye on Zach.

Kneeland Hibbett is smooth, accurate and snaps consistently in the mid to low .8s which is very good for his age. Really like Kneeland’s overall attitude.

Holden Casperson showed me some good tings in GA. Solid accuracy and consistency make Holden one to keep an eye on over the next couple of years.

Josh Mullinix did well in GA. Consistency is good in the mid to high .8s. Need to see his spiral be locked down and he will dominate.
Jonathan Washburn might have been the most consistent freshman Long Snapper at the camp in GA. Each and every snap looks the same and I love it. Keep an eye on him at VEGAS XXXI.

The overall winner of the camp was Luke Rizzo. Rizzo is a TOP 12 Camp invitee that left no doubt that invitation was well deserving. One of the hottest Long Snappers from the start of the camp to the finish. Form is good and he is snapping with great power. Even his misses were simply off by minimal inches. Size is good and he is moving well on his feet. Rizzo is getting better by the second and continues to learn how to dominate.

The finals in TX were between Luke Rizzo (48.1), John Farris (47.56), Dillon Hayes (42.67), Evan Gibson (34.21), Tre Rubio (33.78) and Kuper Imrem (32.53)

TOP 2018 LONG SNAPPERS

Karsten Battles

Karsten Battles was an absolute machine all day in TX. It is so fun to watch battles snap as he locks in and just crushes it….every single time. He has some of the quickest hands in the country and he can easily hit sub .75 on a very consistent basis. Body is looking solid and he is very determined. Just a flat out machine snapping the ball and is easily a scholarship Long Snapper.

Zach Edwards was the overall winner of the speed competition with snaps well under .70…yes, .70. His ball was picking up speed as the day progressed. One of the most athletic Long Snappers in his class. The bigger he gets, the more dominant he becomes with his snapping.

Dillon Hayes continues to find his way into the finals of each camp with his great poise under pressure and his incredible consistency and accuracy.

Jax Wilson looks like a college tight end right now and has some of the most amazing upside I have seen in years from a Long Snapper. Body is great and his potential is off the charts. When he is on, there is no one better.

Evan Gibson is looking very smooth and strong. Body is powerful and he is really starting to snap with lots of confidence. Love his attitude.

Tre Rubio was snapping a great spiral all day and had many snaps sub .75. Tre was on fire all day and looked very impressive.

Chandler Moses was snapping with great confidence, a nice frame, and some good zip on the ball.

Cole Voyles has some increadile form and a frame that is able to put on some good weight over the next couple of years.

TOP 2019 LONG SNAPPERS

Luke Rizzo

Luke Rizzo was incredible all day long in TX. This is obvious as he was the overall winner of the whole camp and made it deep into the speed finals round as well. The more confidence he snaps with and the more he knows how great he truly is, the better he will be in the long run.

Braedy Wilson

Braedy Wilson is a tall drink water with upside that is off the charts. Ball is fast as he can easily be sub .75 when he lets the ball fly out of his hands. Frame is great with room to put on some good weight over the next year.

Caden Bolz came our from KS and was very solid. Ball was quick, body is thick and he has great power throughout.

Nathan Tokar is really starting to snap with some solid confidence and had no problem getting the ball under .80 on a regular basis. Every time I see Tokar he is looking more and more physically fit.

Chad Wolf is big, strong and overflowing potential. The upside on Wolf is off the charts. Good form and attitude.

Nick Stoia has good follow through and the ability to easily get the ball under .80. Smoothing out his form and becoming more and more consistent will move him way up the rankings.

David Medrano showed great upside and I love his attitude. Body is strong and he snaps a smooth ball back to the punter.

Kuper Imrem did well all day in TX and made it to the finals. The more confidence he snaps with, the better he does.

Nate McCormack did really well all day in TX. Very impressed with his attitude and how much he has improved over the last couple of months.

John Farris made it to the finals and was close to taking his talents deep into the finals. Always improving and one of the best attitudes of all the Long Snappers in the 2019 class.

TOP 2020 LONG SNAPPERS

Blake Hooker

Blake Hooker was tremendous all day in TX and even made it very deep into the speed finals as he was one of the last three Long Snappers to be snapping. Ball is tight and he is headed towards greatness. The more he knows that, the better he will do.

Dylan Wiltcher

Dylan Wiltcher looked very solid with great snap speeds under .80 and a tremendous attitude. Dylan is good an headed towards great.

John Bergeron

John Bergeron was terrific all day in TX. Snap speeds were great and consistent under .80. Need Bergeron to not be so surprised of his greatness and except to dominate.

John Luke Roberts showed massive upside. Kid is going to be good.

TOP 2021 & BEYOND LONG SNAPPERS

Nick Walker

Nick Walker was excellent in TX. Kid is growing like a weed and is already snapping like a Varsity Long Snapper right now. His hands are quick and he can easily get the ball sub .80 at 15 yards. Nick is headed towards greatness if he maintains this pace.

Connor Able showed great upside in TX with snaps consisntely under. 82 and a nice, long frame.

Nate Adams might have the most potential of any 2021 Long Snapper in the country. Kid is massive and looks like a college tight end right now. If he works on his form, he could easily dominate his class at VEGAS XXXI.

Grant Goltra is flat out dripping with potential and is very coachable.

Recap of the IL Spring Camp (4/23/17)

Rubio Long Snapping traveled to IL on April 23, 2017 for their Spring camp. Rubio Long Snapping will be traveling the country this spring instructing Long Snappers and getting them all ready for the 2nd biggest event of the year (the largest is our January Vegas Event), VEGAS 30!

Speed Champion, Roen McCullough and Overall Champion, James Rosenberry!

The next stop for Rubio Long Snapping will be Georgia on April 30th. The Georgia Camp will wrap up the Spring regional camp schedule and lead right in to Vegas 30 on May 13-14. 

This was the seventh Rubio Long Snapping regional camp that featured the RSI Testing to track a Long Snappers progress throughout the year and it was an overwhelming success. You can find out more about this new format HERE and the RSI’s from this actual camp are already posted HERE

Long Snappers from IL, IN, MO, MN, OH, IA, UT, MI, NC, SC, WI, NV, SD, and KY all traveled to this camp to get the best instruction and exposure in the world of long snapping. 

The overall camp champion was was James Rosenberry (OH, ’18). Rosenberry is a very consistent Long Snapper that can hit in the high .6s and low .7s. Ball is smooth, crisp and very accurate. He handles pressure well and left no doubt he is one of the top Long Snappers in the country. His victory earned him a free admission to VEGAS 30 on May 13-14!

TOP 2017 LONG SNAPPERS

Matt Hembrough

Matt Hembrough was the best 2017 Long Snapper in attendance. He was absolutely ripping the ball back to the punter and his body is starting to thicken up. Oklahoma State got a good one in Hembrough as he is definitely looking ready for the college level at this point.

Nate Durham was smooth, consistent and showed great accuracy throughout the day in IL. Frame is solid and he has great form. Absolutely love to watch Nate snap when he is putting full power on the ball.

Dylan Castro is beyond smooth and left no doubt he is ready for the college level with his snapping. He has a great attitude and uses his body well. Very good upside for Castro over the next couple of years.

Shiloh Mast did very well in IL and could have ended up winning the whole thing! Attitude is excellent and so is his form. Uses his whole body well and snaps a very smooth ball.

Mario Rodrigues has improved a ton and looks ready for the next level. Form is good and he does a great job of being consistent with each and every snap.

TOP 2018 LONG SNAPPERS

Roen McCullough

Roen McCullough won the speed competition and has really improved a ton with his consistency. Kid snaps with a great deal of power and accuracy. He looked very sharp throughout the day and left no doubt he is one of the top Long Snappers in the country.

Ron Gaines is a massive human being that snaps a smooth ball and uses his body well. Ball hits the punter with good power and he has a solid spiral. Very good attitude and upside on Gaines.

Ross Hinders is a great Long Snapper with excellent form. He can hit in the .7s and he has solid accuracy. Quiet but does all of his talking with his snapping. He is going to do well in college.

Jesse Hooper came out from UT and did really well. He is snapping with a lot of confidence and the ball is flying well to the punter. He is a very thick and strong Long Snapper with a lot of upside.

Matt Tokos looked very sharp in IL and proved his trip from NV was worth it. He definitely impressed me throughout the day with his very quick hands and great attitude.

Michael Vinson is a large Long Snapper with a good frame and snap. Using his body well and can snap consistently in the mid .7s. Lot of upside on Vinson.

Jack Halper is one of the most athletic Long Snappers in the country. The kid can flat out fly down field and will easily be a factor on punt coverage. Consistent snapper in the mid to high .7s.

Zach Drevno is thick, strong and showed good promise. Being a bit quicker and making sure he is always going back will help in the long run. Very good attitude.

Charles DeRosier came out from CA and showed great promise. Consistent and smooth Long Snapper that hovers in the high .7s. Good attitude and potential

Turner Pallissard is an athletic Long Snapper with a good frame that can get the ball back to the punter well. Smooth on his feet and with his snapping.

Brendan Watson did well in Chicago. Very accurate Long Snapper that is always improving.

TOP 2019 LONG SNAPPERS

Drew Little

Drew Little showed great consistency in his snaps and excellent form. His ball really pops back to the punter and his use of his body is off the charts. Hard worker that is always working to get better.

Brad George was on fire and absolutely ripping the ball back to the punters. He had no problem hitting in the low .7s and even .6s at times. George was snapping the ball so hard it was almost shocking…in a good way. Keep an eye on him at VEGAS 30.

Jude Pedrozo was very solid all day in Chicago. Good frame, great attitude and excellent form means Jude is definitely one to keep an eye on over the next couple of years.

David O’Keefe had very quick hands and really got the ball out of the gate well. Thick frame and strong throughout. Very good upside on O’Keefe.

Mike Wojciechowski has great form and is snapping with some solid confidence. The bigger and stronger he gets, the better he does. Over the next two years, he will make his high school coach very happy.

Nathan Tokar has improved his frame and his snaps are looking better as well. Uses his body really well and is snapping with confidence. I really liked what I saw out of Tokar in Chicago.

Thomas Peterson was consistent and smooth with his snaps all day in Chicago. Good upside.

Dylan McCardel was a stud on his feet and snapped very well all day. Ball is quick and his ball jumps out of the gate well. Love his demeanor and he is always improving.

Hayden Snyder was consistent with his speeds and showed solid accuracy. Very good upside.

Nolan Rossback had his best day at a Rubio Long Snapping camp. He looks to be growing like a weed and using his newer frame to get more power on the ball. As he continues to grow, he should continue to dominate. Great kid.

Patrick Szczesniak looked very solid in Chicago. He has a great frame and snaps a smooth and consistent ball. Excellent upside on Patrick.

TOP 2020 and BEYOND LONG SNAPPERS

Jackson Worthen

Jackson Worthen left no doubt he was the best overall freshman Long Snapper in attendance. His form is great and he snaps with great force. You can hear his hands whipping back as he snaps the ball to the punter. He is going to be excellent if he keeps going at this pace.

Christo Kelly showed great upside and promise. Nice frame and he can get in the low .8s when he is on.

David Boan is a monster for his age and is headed towards greatness. Form is good and he has the potential to completely dominate his class over the next couple of years.

Michael Bastuga has good form, a great attitude and tons of upside. The bigger and stronger he gets, the better he will become over the next couple of years.

Jaden Mueller is a smooth Long Snapper with good upside. Good consistency of speed.

Recap of the IL Fall Camp (9/25/16)

ChicagoRubio Long Snapping traveled to Illinois on September 25th, 2016 for their fall camp and the talent did not disappoint. Rubio Long Snapping will be traveling the country this fall instructing Long Snappers and getting them all ready for the biggest event of the year, VEGAS XXIX!

Long Snappers from IN, TN, MI NE, WI, MO, MN, KS & IL all traveled to get the best instruction and the most exposure possible for Long Snapping.

Nate Durham

The overall camp champion was Nate Durham (IL, ’17)! Nate was exceptional all day long with smooth, consistent snaps and some good speed on the ball. Very accurate and consistent with snaps locked in the .7s all day long. Body is solid and he is snapping with some solid confidence. Very impressed with Nate as he was down in the final against Ryan Langan and fought back to win the championship and earn a free admission to VEGAS XXIX!

The next stop for Rubio Long Snapping will be FL next week with PA following one week later.

Top 2017 Long Snappers

Joe Calcagno

Joe Calcagno was a machine all day long in Chicago. The Penn St. commit is a VERY strong Long Snapper with great power and excellent form. He is snapping with great confidence and is looking ready for the next level sooner than later.

Zach Appio got VERY hot throughout the day and was snapping very fast balls in the speed competition. Snapping with confidence and looked really good all day.

Dylan Castro is EASILY one of the smoothest Long Snappers in the country and is just always on point. Quiet and dominant Long Snapper. Really snapping with good power right now on the ball.

Ryan Langan won the speed competition and snaps a really powerful ball that crushes the punter. When he is on, he can hit in the high .6s. TONS of potential on this NE Long Snapper.

Chaz Satnan is a monster on the field and one of the most improved Long Snappers in the past year. The more he improves his athleticism, the better he is. Smooooooooth Long Snapper.

img_0864Drew Wise can be one of the best Long Snappers, easily, in the country when he is on. Being consistent and letting the ball fly out of his hands will help a ton in the long run. Upside is off the charts for Wise.

Erik Abrell is beyond smooth and looked great in IL. Body is solid and he snaps with power.

Matt Hembrough is a VERY athletic Long Snapper with a frame that a college coach is going to love. Rooms for some good weight and he has great form. Love his attitude.

Top 2018 Long Snappers

Trey Corley

Trey Corley caught fire several times in IL. Frame is very solid and he can pass an eyeball test right now. When he is on, he is REALLY on. Once he gets his eyes through, he will dominate. He could be an absolute monster at VEGAS XXIX.

Ron Gaines was really impressive in Chicago. He has done a great job working on his body and becoming more of an athletic Long Snapper.

Michael Vinson is a large Long Snapper with good power and the ability to snap in the .7s on punts. Love to see him focus on confidence and just letting the ball fly out of his hands.

Brendan Watson can snap a ball very quickly and once he locks down the spiral, he will dominate. He has a couple months until VEGAS XXIX, so he can easily make the fixes to dominate there.

Patrick Szczesniak has a very long, athletic frame with room to put on some good weight over the next couple of years.

Drew Little has great form and snaps a really nice ball. His punter must love him now and his future coaches will love him for his accuracy and consistency.

Brad George snaps the ball with some great power and VERY quick hands. Needs to lock down the spiral prior to VEGAS XXIX to really dominate.

David Boan is on the verge of being one of the greats. Keeping focus on his form and making sure he is continuing on this path will make for a fun journey.

Christo Kelly was impressive in IL with good overall snap speeds and a solid upside.

Ethan Jones was snapping the ball with some good form and a solid attitude.

Recap of the IL Spring Camp (4/2)

ChicagoRubio Long Snapping traveled to IL  on April 2nd for their spring camp.

Long Snappers came out from MO, IN, OH, PA, WI, MI, NJ, IA, MS, CA, KY, AL & IL to learn from the best instruction and the most exposure possible for Long Snapping.

The overall winner of the camp was Noah Rodriguez-Trammel (CA, ’17)! Noah came all the way out from CA and truly made the trip count. He is a massive Long Snapper that can pass an eyeball test quickly and hits in The Rubio Zone all the time. Very accurate Long Snapper with good speed that handles pressure well. Winning is becoming common for Noah as he also recently won a camp in CA!

TOP 2016 LONG SNAPPERS:

Riley John

Riley John

Riley John was the top 2016 Long Snapper in attendance. He was snapping in the high to mid .7s all day and has gradually improved every single time I see him at a camp. He is going to be a very good pickup for a college. I really like his attitude and he is snapping a college ball right now.

  • Phillip Thomas looked good in IL. Thick and strong Long Snapper with great form and a very smooth ball. The more he trusts his form and just lets the ball fly, he will be better in the long run.
  • Matt Lewis is a true athlete that can fly downfield. Ball is smooth.
  • Ben Dillion was snapping some good heat in IL. Form is good and he has upside.

TOP 2017 LONG SNAPPERS:

Joe Calcagno

Joe Calcagno

Joe Calcagno was the best 2017 Long Snapper in attendance. He is a large, strong Long Snapper with great form and lots of power. Ball can get into the high .6s and his hands are very quick. Calcagno is looking very solid and everyone should keep an eye on him at XXVIII in May.

  • Nate Durham was impressive with his accuracy and speed. Very good attitude.
  • Shiloh Mast uses his whole body very well and can catch a groove.
  • Marshall Coluzzi continues to be on the most accurate and consistent Long Snappers in his class.
  • Trevor Dhabalt was throwing absolute fire in IL. His snap JUMPS out of the gate very QUICKLY.
  • Dylan Castro is flat out smooth and fun to watch snap. Great ball
  • Cole Stewart will be a completely dominant Rubio Long Snapper when he explodes at the beginning of the process instead of gliding into it. Kid is going to be excellent.
  • Matt Baldeck can be one of the best in his class if he just gets set. Ball is VERY powerful.
  • John Davis looked impressive and is definitely showing he can snap at the next level.
  • Chaz Satnan is a monster of a man and once he locks down his accuracy, he will move way up. Potential is off the charts.
  • Zach Appio is gaining confidence and building steam as we head into XXVIII in May. Great attitude.

Ross Hinders

Ross Hinders was the best 2018 Long Snapper in attendance. His consistency is off the charts. He is like watching a pitching machine out there. Every snap is the same. Speed is good and he is getting bigger by the hour.

  • Roen McCullough is a beast of a man and can snap major heat when he is on. Consistency of speed and handling pressure will be big things I am looking for at XXVIII in May. Major upside.
  • Jack Hadley has been on the camp circuit with Rubio Long Snapping and it is paying off big time. Kid is coming along VERY nicely and wouldn’t surprise me to see him battle for a spot on the EVENT ELITE. Big man with great power. It’s all starting to come together.
  • Ronald Gaines looked very sharp in IL. Massive man with great form. Getting his whole body and power to go back will help a ton. Good attitude.
  • John Raines is VERY accurate and consistent. Locking down his spiral will be huge as we head to Vegas.

Brendan Beattie looked great all day. Kid snaps with some serious speed on the ball and his accuracy is solid. Needs to focus on locking down the spiral as move forward. Lots and lots of potential.

  • Patrick Szezesniak is a very athletic Long Snapper with good upside.
  • Mike Wojciechowski has excellent form and is VERY accurate. The bigger and stronger he gets, the better he will be.
