Recap of the GA Summer Camp (7/26)

Rubio Long Snapping traveled to GA on July 26th for their summer camp. It was a really hot day but all of the Long Snappers stuck it out and had a great time.

Long Snappers came out from GA, TN, FL, MS, AL, IN & SC to learn from the best and get the most exposure.

The overall winner of the camp was Koby Pryz (GA, ’16). Koby is a big, strong Long Snapper with great power and confidence. Accurate Long Snapper that handled pressure well. Impressive day for Koby.

  • Jake Munoz

    Jake Munoz

Jake Munoz was exceptional all day in GA. As stated before, this kid has some of the quickest hands I have EVER seen. The ball jumps out of the gate and is almost hard to catch it gets back to the punter so quickly. He ended up winning the speed competition as he was snapping in the .6s throughout the day.

  • Clarke Smith is a very large Long Snapper with great power and speed. Timed him several times in the .6s. Keep a very close eye on him over the next couple of months. Great attitude.
  • Tanner Sineath showed lots of potential and great pop on the ball. Built well.
  • Matt O’Donoghue came out from CA and showed some excellent snaps all day. Really has improved a ton.
  • Colton Piatt is VERY accurate and could have won the whole thing.

  • Matthew Smith

    Matthew Smith

Matthew Smith showed absolute waves of brilliance in GA. This kid, when he is on, is EASILY one of the best in his class.

  • Jacob Potter had a tremendous day and impressed me with his speed and drive.
  • Garrett Scoggins was throwing heat with his large frame.
  • Callen Davidson is coming along nicely and always improving.
  • Charlie Edwards was strong and snapped a nice ball. Keep an eye on him.
  • Gabe Hantz is VERY strong and on the verge of greatness.

  • Jarrett Key

Jarrett Key really stood out in the class of 2018. He is built strong and has great form. Sky is the limit for Key.

  • Dillon Hayes impressed me with his attitude and speed.
  • Parker Lefton has excellent form and is snapping the ball with good pop. Very good job all day and he is headed in the right direction
  • Clay James is a smooth Long Snapper that is right on the cusp of doing some big things with his Long Snapping.

  • Quentin Skinner

Quentin Skinner was, in my opinion, the best overall Long Snapper at the camp. Built like a college athlete and snaps like one as well. Actually came in second place for the speed competition with speeds in the .6s. He is the real deal.

  • My rankings are NOT done just from The Rubio Target
  • My rankings are NOT done from some mathematical formula.
  • My rankings ARE done by me and only me. That is why they take a good amount of time. (Think of it this way, it takes MONTHS to build a Rolls Royce but only hours to build an average car)
  • My rankings are based off of this blog I wrote about what makes a Long Snapper great.
  • If you would like anything added to your profile page, simply email me ( the information and consider it done.
  • All Long Snappers are ranked after their first fall camp of their freshman year in high school.

A Long Snapper has the ability to adjust their ranking anytime I see them LIVE, not on video.
