Recap of the NJ Spring Camp (5/7)

Rubio Long Snapping traveled to New Jersey on May 7th, 2016 for their spring camp.

Long Snappers from CT, MA, MD, NJ, NY OH, PA, and VA all traveled to learn from the best instruction and the most exposure possible for Long Snapping.

The overall camp champion was Nick Tibbetts (CT, ’18)! Nick won the accuracy part of the competition and fended off Kasey Kelleher (OH, ’17) – also the horse in the competition – in the championship round. Nick is a big, strong long snapper who was very accurate and all over the Rubio Zone all day. He wasn’t rattled by the pressure and scored back to back snaps to win. Nick showed a ton of potential through the whole day and capped the camp off nicely!

Chris Sayan

Chris Sayan

Chris Sayan (NJ) showed some very good speed and accuracy during the competition round and snapping live to punters after. Recently committed to Princeton, Sayan has all of the tools to be a great one down the road. VERY consistent Long Snapper that snaps a catchable ball.

Dylan Nadeau (MA) improved a tremendous amount throughout the day and showed a lot of promise with his great follow through and attitude. Flexibility was very solid and he has good upside.

Kasey Kelleher

Kasey Kelleher

Kasey Kelleher (OH) was the top 2017 Long Snapper at the camp. He was snapping bullets all day (was timed in the mid to high .6s!) and almost came back to win the whole competition from the speed round. Kasey is one of the top ranked Long Snappers in his class and after his performance it is clear why.

Billy Taylor (NJ) had the best form at the camp, and was snapping pearls all day. He has started to put on quality weight and his ball has really picked up a lot of speed. His accuracy continues to be solid and he is really growing into a high quality snapper.

Ryan Cassidy (NJ). He is a very athletic Long Snapper who processes a lot of speed and power. I don’t think he realizes how hard he snaps, and because of this aims a little higher than he has to, but once he gets that release down he will be dangerous.

Jack Hadley

Jack Hadley

Jack Hadley (NJ) has busted onto the scene as of late. He is a very big long snapper, but is so smooth in his snapping motion. It almost looks effortless for him as the ball hums back to the punter. Really excited to see Jack continue to grow and compete in upcoming camps.

James Rosenberry (OH) was snapping pearls all day at the New Jersey camp. His form is almost as perfect as they come, and uses it to generate great speed and a tremendous spiral. Once he fills out a little bit he will be ready for the next level.

Michael Vojvodich (VA) made a lasting first impression at the camp. Very long frame and good athlete who snaps a very nice tight spiral with good accuracy. If he can tidy up his form and get rid of his little hitch he will be fun to watch.

Notables: Scott Lavelle, Ty Cobb

Dom Serapiglia

Dom Serapiglia

Dominic Serapiglia (PA) showed a ton of potential for his age. Very big body and snaps a very smooth ball. Needs to get set and stop wiggling his fingers so much before his snap, but very small tweaks and he will be very good. Athleticism will be key to him really moving up the charts down the road. Good upside and works hard.

Notables: Evan Davis, John Morton, Austin Mosier

Connor Rhinehart (PA) shows a ton of passion when it comes to long snapping. Extremely attentive to all instruction and holds his own against older competition. Only time will tell how great he can be.

  • My rankings are NOT done just from The Rubio Target and will always be announced when they are completed on social media.
  • My rankings are NOT done from some mathematical formula.
  • My rankings ARE done by me and my several select member of my senior staff. That is why they take a good amount of time. (Think of it this way, it takes MONTHS to build a Rolls Royce but only hours to build an average car)
  • My rankings are based off of this blog I wrote about what makes a Long Snapper great.
  • If you would like anything added to your profile page, simply email me ( the information and consider it done.
  • All Long Snappers are ranked after their first fall camp of their freshman year in high school.

A Long Snapper has the ability to adjust their ranking anytime I see them LIVE, not on video.
