Recap of the AZ Fall Camp

Instructor Casey Hales, Champion Ross Reiter and Instructor Kevin Ballinger

Rubio Long Snapping traveled to AZ on December 10th, 2017 for their fall camp. Rubio Long Snapping will travel the country this fall instructing Long Snapper and getting them all ready for their season and beyond. Following AZ, Rubio Long Snapping will head to OH on 12/17 and then the Super Bowl for Long Snappers, VEGAS XXXI on January 1-15, 2018.

Long Snappers from AZ, NV, OR, CA, OK, NE, CO & IL all traveled to his camp to get the best instruction and exposure in the world of Long Snapping.

Here are the RSI Scores from the AZ Camp…

The overall winner of the camp was Ross Reiter! Ross, Colorado State commit, was dominant from start to finish and left no doubt he was the best at the camp. He is overflowing with confidence right now and left no doubt he was the best Long Snapper in AZ. Form is excellent, he has very little wasted movement and he is simply snapping pearls one after another. Can’t say enough good things about Reiter and his snapping.

The finals in AZ were between Ross Reiter (42.11), Jack Bullard (29.67), Dustin Inness (28.72), Zach King (18.75), Trevor Heid (15.46), Morgan Parent (13.48) and Ethan King (13.48).

Ross Reiter

Ross Reiter was a machine all day and left no doubt he is one of the top Long Snappers in his class. Colorado State got a great Long Snapper and man in Reiter. Type of Long Snapper that will be successful for many years to come in no matter what he chooses to do.

Trevor Sablan was smooth and accurate while snapping with some great confidence. Really improving well and looks to be easily ready for the next level if he keeps improving like he is.

Justin Babcock is a strong Long Snapper with a good frame. Upper body is very powerful and he snaps a smooth ball.

Derek Hahn snapped with good balance and a great attitude all day. Smooth ball that hits the punter with great catchability.

Joseph Kelly is built long, he moves well on his feet and will dominate once he brings the ball in a bit more.

Dade Dorsey was impressive with his overall speed and the way he reaches back. Love to see him put on some size and not think so much.

Brett Duffey showed me some quick hands and good pop with his lower half. Good upside.

Peter Bowden

Peter Bowden was the top 2019 Long Snapper in attendance and absolutely rockets the ball and displays confidence with his speed. He has a solid frame and moves well down the field.

Ethan Hudak was also very solid for the class of 2019. Ethan’s built like a linebacker and has great power and pop when snapping.

Joseph Wiysel looked sharp out in AZ with his long arms and great follow through!

AJ Laux

AJ Laux was the top overall 2020 Long Snapper in attendance. He is a big physical body whose tremendous force creates a nice whip on the ball.

Jack Bullard also stepped up and showed flashes of greatness by finishing in the top 4 of the RSI testing competition. He had the second highest total with a score of 29.67

Trevor Heid has a good frame and some very quick hands for his age!

Abe Petasienski came from IL and was impressive with his overall attitude, great frame and quick hands.

Bryce Felt snaps with great passion, lots of rage, aggression and I love it. The bigger and stronger he gets, the better he will do later on. Great attitude.

Peter Morgan

Peter Morgan is thick, strong and reaches back very well. Love how strong and quick his hands are when he is snapping the ball back to the punter.

Grant Sands showed good promise with great follow through and good starting form.

Nathan Pettigrew is thick, strong and follows through well. Balance is good and he snaps a smooth ball back to the punter.
