{"id":2342,"date":"2013-04-29T20:44:31","date_gmt":"2013-04-30T03:44:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rubiosblog.com\/?p=2342"},"modified":"2013-04-29T20:44:31","modified_gmt":"2013-04-30T03:44:31","slug":"11th-annual-spring-event-las-vegas-key-points","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rubiosblog.com\/?p=2342","title":{"rendered":"11th Annual Spring Event in Las Vegas &#8211; KEY POINTS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The 11th Annual National Snapping Spring Event \u2013 Sponsored by Nike is less than a week away.\u00a0 While many specialists are taking this time of year off, those that seriously want to play in college and know what it takes are working harder than ever.\u00a0 Those hard workers will be in Las Vegas May 4-5, 2013 ready to impress and gain the most valuable national exposure in the nation.<\/p>\n<p>Here is some useful information for those attending and those that are still considering attending.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Event Date: May 4-5, 2013<\/li>\n<li>Arrive Friday May 3rd.\u00a0 The earlier that you arrive, the more well rested you will be for the weekend.<\/li>\n<li>Plan on being at camp until 5PM Sunday May 5th.\u00a0 There is no way of knowing if you will make the Finals Round Sunday until you and all other participants have completed the initial round of charting Sunday morning.\u00a0 Whether you make the Finals Round or not, you should plan on staying on watching the Finals Round.\u00a0 Get the full experience from the camp!<\/li>\n<li>Friday Small Group Sessions (4:00 \u2013 5:00 &amp; 5:00 \u2013 6:00) are OPTIONAL.\u00a0 These were designed to knock some rust off, get rid of jet lag legs, and gain confidence heading into Saturday.\u00a0 If you can make it, I highly recommend you attend. <a href=\"https:\/\/rubiosblog.com\/registration-store.html?page=shop.product_details&amp;flypage=flypage.tpl&amp;product_id=168&amp;category_id=13\" target=\"_blank\">CLICK HERE<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Location: <a href=\"https:\/\/plus.google.com\/102888387466244196211\/photos?hl=en\" target=\"_blank\">Las Vegas Outdoor Soccer<\/a> 1400 N. May is also known as \u201cEvaluation Period\u201d for college coaches.\u00a0 This is a very HOT time for recruiting for all classes.\u00a0 May offers maximum exposure.\u00a0 Chris Sailer and myself will be handing 100\u2032s of calls after this event.\u00a0 Recruiting Boards will be set based on results and our evaluations.\u00a0 Want to be offered a scholarship at those <a title=\"college camps\" href=\"http:\/\/chrissailerkickingblog.co\/college-camps\/\">college camps<\/a> this summer?\u00a0 Attending this camp is how they will know about you!<\/li>\n<li>The 11th Annual National Snapping Spring Event gives you a chance to make the \u201cEvent Elite\u201d.\u00a0 There is NO set number of specialists that will be selected.\u00a0 The number selected is based on the number of participants that can compete at that VERY HIGHEST LEVEL.\u00a0 Usually 15-20 are selected to join the \u201cTOP 12\u2033 at the most prestigious Invite Only Camp in the world.<\/li>\n<li>Think you are good enough to make the \u201cEvent Elite\u201d \u2013 Click <a href=\"https:\/\/rubiosblog.com\/meet-2013-top-12-members\/\" target=\"_blank\">HERE<\/a> to see who you are competing with and to get a little history about the \u201cTOP 12\u2033 &amp; \u201cEvent Elite\u201d<\/li>\n<li>The Spring Event in NOT an Invite Only Camp.\u00a0 This camp offers a great experience to Long Snappers of all levels.\u00a0 Expect a wide range of talent from beginners to the best of the best from around the world in the Classes of 2016, 2015, 2014, 2013, Junior Colleges and 4-Year Transfer Students.\u00a0 The best of the best, The \u201cEvent Elite\u201d, selected from the Spring Event will be invited to attend the \u201cTOP 12\u2033 and \u201cEvent Elite\u201d Camp in June.<\/li>\n<li>Come prepared to enjoy your experience.\u00a0 Do NOT put to much pressure on yourself.\u00a0 Come with open eyes and ears.\u00a0 Learn from your instructors and your peers.\u00a0 Look around and take it all in.\u00a0 Watch other groups.\u00a0 Watch the college and pro demo.\u00a0 Attend the Meetings.\u00a0 There are so many things to learn and that you can and will benefit from if you take advantage.\u00a0 Leave the camp with goals and a motivation to work harder than ever!<\/li>\n<li>Saturday \u2013 Instructional Day.\u00a0 You will get plenty of reps.\u00a0 Pace yourself. Your group numbers have been emailed to you to you on Thursday. If you have not received it, please email me immediately.<\/li>\n<li>Sunday \u2013 Competition Day.\u00a0 You will be charted.\u00a0 Your competition start time will be assigned to you at Check-In Saturday.<\/li>\n<li>Saturday Meetings are the the Group Rate Hotel \u2013 JW Marriott.\u00a0 I highly advise that participants and their parents attend.
