Yesterday, Rubio Long Snapper Travis Arroyo (2016, TX) was honored by the state of Texas at the state capitol in Austin. Yes, the entire state! You see the Texas government is so proud of Travis (many of you probably have heard me call him\u00a0Goodman because he reminds me of John Goodman) that they created a resolution for him (please see below) highlighting his academic and athletic achievements. Yesterday, Goodman received\u00a0an\u00a0“Outstanding Young Texan Award” honoring him during the 84th Texas Legislature April 30, 2015. Texas State Capitol Austin, Texas<\/p>\n

To say I am proud of Goodman would be an understatement. Congratulations to Goodman and his whole family.<\/p>\n

Side note: FULL EMBRACE to Rubio Long Snapping and Chris Sailer Kicking also going down in the history books in Texas!!!!<\/p>\n

in Pflugerville, has distinguished himself through his academic and<\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

extracurricular achievements, and he is indeed worthy of special<\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n

recognition; and<\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0WHEREAS, A two-year varsity football letterman, Mr.\u00a0Arroyo<\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

has served the Hawks as a tenacious offensive guard and has excelled<\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

as the team’s long snapper; in preparing for the latter role, he has<\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

greatly benefited from the guidance of his trainers at Chris Sailer<\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Kicking and Rubio Long Snapping, who have helped him develop into a<\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Mr.\u00a0Arroyo has been a member of the school’s track and field team,<\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

competing in the discus and shot put events, and he pitched for the<\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

baseball team during his freshman year; moreover, he has given<\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n

generously of his time and talents by coaching at the Little Hawks<\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

football camp, tutoring through the Peer Assistance, Leadership,<\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n

and Service (PALS) program, and volunteering for numerous community<\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n
