Jake Munoz<\/p><\/div>\n

Earlier today, I posted on Twitter<\/a>, Instagram<\/a>, Facebook<\/a> and Linkedin<\/a> that Rubio Long Snapper Jake Munoz<\/a> (GA, ’16) had been offered a full scholarship to Georgia St.<\/p>\n

You may have glanced at this for a moment and just thought, oh, just another Rubio Long Snapper headed to college.<\/a>\u00a0If you did that, you shouldn’t have and here is why.<\/p>\n

For those of that don’t know, Munoz has Retinal Cone Dystophy (an inherited ocular disorder characterized by the loss of cone cells, the photoreceptors responsible for both central and color vision). In layman’s terms, Munoz sees, at all times, like a “normal” person does right when they come out of a noon movie into extremely bright sunshine outside. You know what I am talking about? Been in the dark for a couple hours, you walk out of the movie and the outside world is the brightest thing on the planet. It basically hurts your eyes, you immediately squint and your vision is VERY limited.<\/p>\n

That is Jake Munoz’s life AT ALL TIMES<\/strong> and he just earned a full scholarship to be a Long Snapper in college. What an absolute stud and I am extremely proud of how far he has come in the past couple of years with Rubio Long Snapping.<\/p>\n

Congratulations to Munoz and his whole family on this incredible accomplishment.<\/p>\n
