What is one unique thing about you that everyone might NOT know? That I just started snapping a year and a half ago and now I’m one of the best snappers in the country.

What makes YOU the best Long Snapper in the Country? I am explosive in everything I do, I have extremely fast ball speed and I am very accurate, I am also the fastest long snapper in the country. My training has made me the physically most prepared player in the country at this position.

What is one unique thing about you that everyone might NOT know? I’ve grown up in a football family watching my dad coach James Conner in high school and I have trained with other big time athletes at my family gym.

What is one unique thing about you that everyone might NOT know? I started snapping by accident. My knee was injured and I could not run, so I just started snapping.

What makes YOU the best Long Snapper in the Country? The thing that makes me the best long snapper in the country is the fact that everyday I battle against my older brother that is a top long snapper in the country and younger brother who is a future star to be the best snapper in the house hold. This competition has continuously pushed me day in and day out to improve.

What is one unique thing about you that everyone might NOT know? Something unique about me is that I may look all braun but I actually really enjoy singing and can sing in not two not three but five different languages including English, Spanish, Italian, French, and German.

What makes YOU the best Long Snapper in the Country?  The thing that makes me the best snapper in the country, I can control my attitude, effort, and my competitive spirit. These are things that my dad taught me. Because nothing  else is controllable other then those three things and when I can control that then there should be no reason why I am not the best, I say that because I don’t care who my opponent is; my goal is to out work everyone because I know that there is someone in the world working towards the same goal I have but it will come down to who wants it more and I want it more then anyone

What is one unique thing about you that everyone might NOT know? One thing that is unique about me that no one else would know is that my dad was a major league baseball coach and I got to travel with him on away games and I have met a bunch of MLB baseball players and I am a licensed contractor and welder.

The Polynesian Bowl

Rubio Long Snapping will be selecting a TOTAL of 14 All-Americans this year once again! Four of those of course are for the Polynesian Bowl (Class of 2023) on CBS Sports – 2 K/P/’s and 2 Long Snappers.

Q: HOW DO I QUALIFY TO BE A POLYNESIAN BOWL ALL-STAR THIS YEAR?

A: TWO STEPS!

  1. Get Selected to attend the TOP 12 Camp  

  2. Attend the TOP 12 Camp in July & Dominate

Let’s Break it down step by step.  . .

STEP #1:  Get Selected to attend the TOP 12 Camp 

Q: HOW DO YOU GET SELECTED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE TOP 12 Camp?

A1: Your best chance is to attend the January and/or May National Vegas Events.

At each of the Vegas Events (January & May), Rubio will select 20 athletes that dominated each camp and he feels could potentially be ready for the next level.

A2: Your other option is a gamble, but you could take a WILDCARD spot.

Apart from the 40 members selected from the Vegas events, Rubio will also have a maximum of FIVE Wild Card invites that he can give throughout the year. His choice. Any camp. All on Rubio and what he has seen and/or read about throughout the year.

STEP #2: Attend the TOP 12 Camp in July & Dominate

Q: WHAT IS THE TOP 12 CAMP?

A: Once you have been officially invited to the the TOP 12 Camp, you can register for the TOP 12 CAMP on our website.  

Rubio Long Snapping will run a 3-day camp in mid July loaded with competition and evaluation.  Based on performance, athletes will be selected to participate in final competitions to earn Polynesian Bowl All-Star selections.

*This camp IS mandatory to attend to become a Polynesian Bowl All-Star.

Rubio Long Snapping will rank ALL Participants based on performance at this camp.

There you have it!  That’s your road to the POLYNESIAN BOWL . . .

MAY VEGAS Registration and Information Below:

May Vegas is a 2-day camp loaded with competition and evaluation.  Based on performance, athletes will be selected to make the “TOP 12” and attend the TOP 12 CAMP in July.

* Rubio will be present at this camp.
* Rubio will rank ALL Participants based on performance at this camp.
* Rubio will select 20 K/P to the TOP 12 Camp

*We recommend arriving on Friday the 13th as some groups start very early on Saturday.

BASIC INFO:

  • Saturday is an instructional day and will end by 6pm
  • Sunday is a charting and competition day and will end by 6pm
  • Both days, participants will only be required to be on the field during group times which will be determined one week prior to the event.
  • Groups may start as early as 6:45am each day so we recommend you arrive in Las Vegas on Friday.

Recap of the Polynesian Bowl Selections

After two great days of competing, two Long Snappers stepped up and earned their tickets to the Polynesian Bowl on January 19th, 2019 in at Aloha Stadium in Hawaii! This bowl game has quickly become one of the top bowl games in the country for high school athletes. This year, the Polynesian Bowl will be aired live on CBS! 

Jack Landherr

The finals round matchups were Simon Samarzich (CA, ’19) vs. Peter Bowden (CA, ’19) and Drew Little (NC, ’19) vs. Jack Landherr (CA, ’19). This group of Rubio Long Snappers was overflowing with talent as Samarzich is committed to Washington State on full scholarship, Drew Little is committed to North Carolina on full scholarship, Landherr has offers from Army, Navy and Air Force while Bowden has offers from Wisconsin, Northwestern, Penn & San Diego. Obviously, all of these Long Snappers deserved the spot but we had to have two winners and the two that stepped up in the end were Simon Samarzich and Jack Landherr. Very proud of all of the Long Snappers and can’t wait to see them represent themselves, their schools, their communities, their states and Rubio Long Snapping in Hawaii!
