Recap of the CA Fall Camp

Rubio Long Snapping traveled to CA on October 29, 2017 for their fall camp. Rubio Long Snapping will travel the country this fall instructing Long Snapper and getting them all ready for their season and beyond. Following WA, Rubio Long Snapping will head to TX on 11/12, NC on 11/19, GA on 12/3, AZ on 12/10, OH on 12/17 and then the Super Bowl for Long Snappers, VEGAS XXXI on January 1-15, 2018.

Long Snappers from CA, NV and Japan all traveled to his camp to get the best instruction and exposure in the world of Long Snapping.

The overall winner of the camp was Kameron Hawkins. Kam is a 2020 Long Snapper from CA that was just coming off a win in Seattle last week. Just like last week, Kameron was the overall champion as well as the speed champion. His confidence is building and he doesn’t look to be letting up on the gas. He left no doubt of his dominance in the finals by only hitting threes! Not to mention, every single three Kameron hit, was a pure “swish” going into the opening. It was incredible to watch as he only took three snaps total in the finals. Kameron is an absolute workhorse that continues to improve on a daily basis with his Long Snapping, attitude and athleticism. As for snapping the ball, Kameron is at the college level right now.

The finals in CA were between Kameron Hawkins (CA, 2020), Charles DeRosier (CA, 2018), JJ Lindsay (CA, 2019), Danny Dixon (CA, 2019), Hidetka Kanazawa (Japan, JC) and Aidan Livingston (CA, 2019).

Here are the RSI Scores from the CA Camp…

The overall camp champion was Noah Rodriguez-Trammell (CA, ’17)! NRT was on fire all day and simply great throughout the competition segment. He is snapping with a great deal of confidence and racked up his third Rubio Long Snapping regional camp victory. Obviously, it wouldn’t surprise me at all to see him take the grand prize this January in Vegas. His victory in CA earned him a free admission to VEGAS XXIX!

You can actually watch the finals between Noah Rodriguez-Trammel and Andrew Toothman below from the live feed on the Rubio Long Snapping Periscope.

The next stop for Rubio Long Snapping will be  NC (11/20), TX (12/4), AZ (12/11) and GA (12/18)

Harrison Hoffman is a great JC Long Snapper and easily one of the smoothest in his class. Kid is just flat out good all around.

Gavin Campbell has put on some size and was snapping great power. Even his misses were rockets. He locks down his consistency a bit more and it is game over for the rest of his class.

Koltin Anderson had a great day in CA and could have easily ended up winning the whole thing. Body is thick and he is snapping with good power.

Karson Thomas catches a good wave and he is awesome. Great frame and tons of upside.

KEY POINTS:

  • My rankings are NOT done just from The Rubio Target and will always be announced when they are completed on social media.
  • My rankings are NOT done from some mathematical formula.
  • My rankings ARE done by me and my several select member of my senior staff. That is why they take a good amount of time. (Think of it this way, it takes MONTHS to build a Rolls Royce but only hours to build an average car)
  • My rankings are based off of this blog I wrote about what makes a Long Snapper great.
  • If you would like anything added to your profile page, simply email me (Rubio@RubioLongSnapping.com) the information and consider it done.
  • All Long Snappers are ranked after their first fall camp of their freshman year in high school.

A Long Snapper has the ability to adjust their ranking anytime I see them LIVE, not on video.
