Recap of the CA Summer Camp (6/28/18)

Samarzich, Rubio and Hawkins

Rubio Long Snapping traveled to CA on June 28th, 2018 for their summer camp. Rubio Long Snapping will be traveling around the country this spring with stops in CA, NC, GA, IL, SC (Top Gun Camp), CA (College, TOP 12, Underclassmen Invitational) and TX!

The champions of the camp were Kameron Hawkins (speed) and Simon Samarzich (overall)! Samarzich has recently committed to Washington State on full scholarship and he proved in CA that the Cougs got a great one. He is one of the most consistent Long Snappers ever to go through Rubio Long Snapping. Ball hovers in the low .7s at all times, he can move well on his feet and he has, easily, one of the greatest attitudes of all Rubio Long Snappers in the country. Samarzich is the real deal and just never stops improving.

The finals round matchups were Simon Samarzich (57.14), Cruz Rubio (41.56), Bryce Felt (41.03), Andrew Gonneville (38.82), Jack Landherr (34.21) and Aaron Estrada (33.33). You can see the full finals video below….

Rubio Long Snapping traveled to TX on April 29th, 2018 for their fall camp. Rubio Long Snapping will be traveling around the country this spring with stops in CA, NC, WA, NJ, AZ, IL, GA and TX with all camps leading right into VEGAS XXXII on May 12-13, 2018!

Long Snappers from 10 states all traveled to this camp to get the best instruction and exposure in the world of Long Snapping. The camp was a great time had by all with an excellent group of Long Snappers and parents.

The champions of the camp were Braedy Wilson (speed) and Eliot Gottsegen (overall)! Braedy was on fire throughou the speed competition and was having no problem getting sub .75. Gottsegen got hot at the right time and just became a juggernaut and mowed down Long Snapper after Long Snapper in the finals. Smooth Long Snapper with quick eyes and hands. Really impressive how well he handled the pressure of being in the finals and winning while being just a freshman!

Wilson, Rubio and Gottsegen

The finals round matchups were Blake Hooker (62.11), JJ Lindsay (54.10), Grant Goltra (45.88), Hayden Hood (42.47), Eliot Gottsegen (30.67) and Dylan Wiltcher (29.63). You can see the full finals video below….

TOP 2018 LONG SNAPPERS
Evan “Mufasa” Gibson was smooth, consistent and left no doubt he is ready for college. Body is thick and he is strong. Ball hovers in the mid to high .7s and can trickle to the .8s if he becomes tentative. The harder he snaps the ball, the better Mufasa will do in the long run. Great attitude.

Mason Smith was very efficient with his snapping motion and hovered right in the low .8s all day long. Good worker that listens well.

TOP 2019 LONG SNAPPERS
Luke Rizzo was on absolute fire all day long in TX. You could tell he was a man on a mission and he left no doubt he was one of the most dominant Long Snappers in the country today. Body is getting thicker and stronger by the hour. Ball is very quick. Making sure he is extending the ball out and getting fully set puts this kid at 5 Stars at VEGAS XXXII in May.

Hayden Hood is a very athletic Long Snapper with a smooth, consistent snapping motion. Love his overall attitude and I am ready to win a camp and leave no doubt.

Caden Bolz is thick and strong with very quick hands and legs. Butt is lower than normal and he can still get his legs locked. Ball is powerful.

Braedy Wilson won the speed competition, is built extremely long and can rip the ball back to the punter. Moves in a smooth fashion and if he can fully lead with his elbows, he will average sub .70

Brandon Oldham is thick and strong with a quick ball. Lowering his butt to get his back to parallel will take him to the top.

Joshua Burtch is big and strong with very quick hands. Thick Long Snapper that can dominate at VEGAS XXXII in May.

Brayden Chandler showed me some great things in TX and he has all of the tools to be one of the greats.

Andrew Downs is a quiet Long Snapper that does all of his talking with snap speeds well under .80 on a consistent basis.

John Farris has a great attitude and has some of the quickest hands in the country.

Jack Harrison improved a ton and is starting to snap with a lot of confidence. Watch this kid.

JJ Lindsay is beyond smooth and snaps one of the most catchable balls in the country.

Joshua Smetzer hovered under .80 all day and has a massive amount of upside.

Nick Stoia will absolutely crush his class if he can focus on slow motion drills to get all of his lower half fully involved.

Jake Zenger has a tremendous attitude and a frame that could put on fifty pounds over the next couple of years to make himself a top prospect.

Landon Sleeper is strong and smooth. Leading with his elbows is the key to his greatness.

Notables: Nate McCormack, Anthony Rosenstrauch, Cayden Sparks, Nicholas DiVirgilio, Zac Bland

TOP 2020 LONG SNAPPERS
Blake Hooker was tremendous in TX and actually broke the spring record for RSI with a 62.11! Ball is very quick and he is starting to really roll right now. The more he snaps with absolute confidence and knows how great he is, the better he will be and be able to fully dominate his class. Watch him very closely at VEGAS XXXII in May.

Dylan Wiltcher made it to the finals and was inches from winning the whole time. He looked very determined and showed he is a flat out stud in his class.

Bryce Felt came out from CA and was snapping with great power. Ball rarely goes above .80 at fifteen yards and his improvement over the past couple of months is off the charts.

Bryce Eimer was snapping very well under pressure and is close to snapping a college ball right now and he still has two years left of high school.

Jake Foggia looked great in TX with his very smooth snaps and great attitude. Always improving and the more he leads with his elbows and snaps with full power, the more dominant he becomes.

Jackson McFarland was snapping some severe heat in TX and left no doubt he can be one of the top Long Snappers in his class.

Eli Chism has grown very well over the past couple of months and is starting to look like a college Long Snapper now.

John Bergeron is smooth and has great form. Locking down his spiral is going to be the key.

Jarret Caillier has great size and all of the tools to be one of the top Long Snappers in his class.

Nolan Pope is big, has a great personality and very quick hands.

Ethan Lane is big, thick and very strong. Making sure his elbows are going straight back is the key to greatness.

Lee Pyles is very good and he is headed towards great. Ball is very quick.

TOP 2021 LONG SNAPPERS
JT Sleeper is a big and thick Long Snapper that snaps a beyond smooth ball. Form is coming along extremely well and the kid is an absolute workhorse. The harder he snaps the ball and the more he can improve his overall athleticism, the higher up the rankings he will go.

Connor Able has all of the tools to be one of the best Long Snappers in his class. Great attitude and listens well. Locking down his spiral will help a ton.

Byron Rhodes will dominate his class once he stops thinking a little bit. Just letting his body do all of the work and trusting his form will be huge for Rhodes.

Grant Goltra is absolutely overflowing with potential and can crush everyone if he can utilize all of his body. Slow motion snaps will help him a ton.

Recap of the WA Spring Camp (3/18/18)

Rubio Long Snapping traveled to WA on March 18th, 2018 for their fall camp. Rubio Long Snapping will be traveling around the country this spring with stops in CA, NC, WA, NJ, AZ, IL, GA and TX with all camps leading right into VEGAS XXXII on May 12-13, 2018!

Long Snappers from seven states and two countries all traveled to this camp to get the best instruction and exposure in the world of Long Snapping. The camp was overflowing with talent with many committed seniors and also tons of new Long Snappers.

The overall champions of the camp were Matt Tokos (speed) and Bryce Felt (overall). Felt came on very strong in the end and handled pressure like a true champion. His misses (not a lot of them, obviously) were all close to scoring and I am very impressed with how quickly he is improving! Felt represented the class of 2020 extremely well and I am proud how he handled himself coming up the Northwest from CA.

Tokos, Rubio & Felt

You can see the full finals video with Bryce Felt, Dalton Riggs, Jack Laurin, Tom Schnitzer, JJ Lindsay and Austin Duelman, below…

TOP 2018 LONG SNAPPERS

Matt Tokos

Matt Tokos was the speed champion with a great pressure snap under .69! His ball is very tight and he snaps well on a cadence. Tokos has an excellent attitude and is always improving. He is going to make his college coach very happy for four to five years.

Kellen Dyer snaps a smooth and accurate ball with good consistency of his speed. He has the ability to get the ball back to the punter under .80 when he is really trusting his form and ripping the ball back to the punter. The more he improves his frame and athleticism, the better he will be in college.

TOP 2019 LONG SNAPPERS

James Durr

James Durr was on fire all day in WA and seemed to get better as the day progressed. He was very consistently snapping in the high .8s and he moved well on his feet. Very intrigued to watch him under a massive amount of pressure at VEGAS XXXII in May.

Walker Harden has a great frame and his built extremely well. Snaps the ball hard and when the spiral is on, it is in the low .7s. Tremendous potential.

JJ Lindsay is a smooth lefty with an accurate ball. Really driving his chest through and making sure his spiral is locked down will help him a ton. Great kid.

Dalton Riggs is absolutely dripping with potential. Excellent frame and his upper body is extremely quick. If he can get his legs to match his upper body in quickness, he will end up putting a hole in the punter. When it clicks for this kid, he will dominate.

Josiah Hirsch is a big, thick Long Snapper with good form and a great personality. The harder he snaps, the better he does. Confidence is going to be huge for Josiah.

Alex Sheehan was impressive with good form and great speed. Locking down his spiral is going to be a massive key for him.

Notables: Austin Dueman, Gavin Gately, Neo Sather, Tyler Sato and Drew Maycumber

TOP 2020 LONG SNAPPERS

Grayson Pibal

Grayson Pibal was extremely smooth and almost hypnotic with how smooth his snaps were throughout the whole day. Built very long with a frame that can easily put on 50 lbs over the next couple of years. The quicker he gets the ball out of the gate, the better he will be in the long run.

Cameron Landes is also another very long athlete that was smooth with his snaps and on his feet. The bigger he gets and the harder he snaps will easily make Landes one of the top Long Snappers in his class.

Jack Laurin was smooth and was handling pressure very well. Made it deep into the finals and was close to winning it all. Like to see him focus on getting his butt up just a tad so his whole snapping motion is quicker.

Michael Tokos had some of the quickest hands at the camp. It was almost hard to time him during the speed competition. Like to see Tokos get his elbows more involved and really lock down the spiral.

Notables: Dakota Lepine, Tommy Sullivan

TOP 2021 and Beyond LONG SNAPPERS

Jesse Tomica

Jesse Tomica had a great attitude, moved well on his feet and was consistent with his snaps right around .85 at 15 yards. Good upside and I definitely like what I saw out of Tomica in WA.

Kayden Roxburgh showed good consistency and some solid form. Good attitude.

Carson Jensen had a great attitude and snapped with some good speed on the ball. Very good upside.

Jackson Plieth was impressive all day and is always improving.

Morgan White

TOP 2018 LONG SNAPPERS
Morgan White left no doubt he was the best senior Long Snapper in attendance. He is strong and snaps a very powerful ball. Morgan hovered in the .7s all day and moves well on his feet. Kid is aggressive on the field and can easily play at the next level.

Niko Johnson shows great determination and moves extremely well on his feet. This JC Long Snapper has all of the tools to play at the next level.

Jake Mauch can pass an eyeball test from a 1/4 mile way and has all the potential in the world. Once it clicks for him, he will dominate.

Notables: Josh Garcia

TOP 2019 LONG SNAPPERS

Simon Samarzich

Simon Samarzich continued his dominance and left no doubt he is one of the most consistent Long Snappers in the country. He can move very extremely well on his feet, snaps with confidence and handles pressure like a champ. He ended up winning the speed competition and can snap at the next level right now.

Jack Landherr was on fire in CA. Body is great and when he gets his upper body all the way through, he absolutely crushes the competition. Upside is off the charts and I like his attitude. Kid is a flat out stud.

Ryan Aguilar is one of the smoothest Long Snappers in the country and ended up winning the overall competition! Pressure means nothing to him and when he catches fire, it is over for anyone going against him. He is so smooth it doesn’t even appear like he is doing anything and then, BOOM!, the ball crushes the punters hands.

Jack Landherr

Peter Bowden left no doubt he is one of the top juniors in the country. Great frame, moves well on his feet and I love his attitude.

Nathan Weneta looked great in CA. Pure athlete that is extremely smooth on his feet. Doesn’t even look like he is putting in any effort and he just chews up ground. Form is excellent and he didn’t have a snap over .78 all day long.

Aidan Livingston is an accurate Long Snapper with a good spiral. Aidan has the highest RSI score of the day and was the #1 seed go into the finals. Smooth and accurate Long Snapper that moves really well going forward.

Dean Lau is a machine on his feet and snaps with great power. Going straight back is going to make him unstoppable.

Brendan Beattie came out from Ohio and snapped some heat in CA. He can fly on his feet and when his spiral is on, he can crush the punter.

Andrew Gonneville has all of the potential in the world. Reaches through very well and can rip the ball back to the punter.

Matthew Rhodes was solid with his large frame and great balance.

Recap of the CA Fall Camp

Rubio Long Snapping traveled to CA on October 29, 2017 for their fall camp. Rubio Long Snapping will travel the country this fall instructing Long Snapper and getting them all ready for their season and beyond. Following WA, Rubio Long Snapping will head to TX on 11/12, NC on 11/19, GA on 12/3, AZ on 12/10, OH on 12/17 and then the Super Bowl for Long Snappers, VEGAS XXXI on January 1-15, 2018.

Long Snappers from CA, NV and Japan all traveled to his camp to get the best instruction and exposure in the world of Long Snapping.

The overall winner of the camp was Kameron Hawkins. Kam is a 2020 Long Snapper from CA that was just coming off a win in Seattle last week. Just like last week, Kameron was the overall champion as well as the speed champion. His confidence is building and he doesn’t look to be letting up on the gas. He left no doubt of his dominance in the finals by only hitting threes! Not to mention, every single three Kameron hit, was a pure “swish” going into the opening. It was incredible to watch as he only took three snaps total in the finals. Kameron is an absolute workhorse that continues to improve on a daily basis with his Long Snapping, attitude and athleticism. As for snapping the ball, Kameron is at the college level right now.

The finals in CA were between Kameron Hawkins (CA, 2020), Charles DeRosier (CA, 2018), JJ Lindsay (CA, 2019), Danny Dixon (CA, 2019), Hidetka Kanazawa (Japan, JC) and Aidan Livingston (CA, 2019).

You can see the full finals video below…

Here are the RSI Scores from the CA Camp…

Recap of the 2017 WA Fall Camp

Rubio Long Snapping traveled to WA on October 22, 2017 for the northwest’s fall camp. Rubio Long Snapping will travel the country this fall instructing Long Snapper and getting them all ready for their season and beyond. Following WA, Rubio Long Snapping will head to CA on 10/29, TX on 11/12, NC on 11/19, GA on 12/3, AZ on 12/10, OH on 12/17 and then the Super Bowl for Long Snappers, VEGAS XXXI on January 1-15, 2018.

Long Snappers from WA, MN, CA, NV, OR, ID, CO & CAN all traveled to his camp to get the best instruction and exposure in the world of Long Snapping.

Here are the RSI Scores from the NJ Camp…

The overall winner of the camp was Kameron Hawkins. Kam is a 2020 Long Snapper from CA that was absolutely dominant all day long in Seattle. There is literally no doubt he is one of the top Long Snappers in his class in CA, and the entire country. Kam actually was the speed and RSI champ of the camp. This definitely does not happen often but was well deserved with Kam with his excellent accuracy and speeds that were sub .7 when it mattered most.

Kameron is an absolute workhorse that continues to improve on a daily basis with his Long Snapping, attitude and athleticism. Very impressed with this kid’s drive and never slow down attitude.

The finals in WA were between Kameron Hawkins (CA, 2020), Axel Raarup (MN, 2018), Kellen Dyer (ID, 2018), Karl Von Einsiedel (Canada, 2020), JJ Lindsay (CA, 2019) and Ben Schumock (WA, 2020).

You can see the full finals video below…

TOP 2018 LONG SNAPPERS
Matt Tokos was an absolute machine all day in WA. He could easily have one of the tightest spirals in the country as his ball almost sticks to your hands when it hits. His snaps are quick with times easily in the .7s and his attitude is excellent. He is going to make any coach he plays for extremely happy on and off the field.

Kellen Dyer was snapping a very smooth and accurate ball that took him all the way to the finals and was about 3 inches from winning the whole camp! Dyer’s attitude is great and he works hard. The more he increases his overall athleticism and strength, the better he will be in the long run.

Axel Raarup came out on a solo trip all the way from MN and definitely did not waste the trip. Kid is VERY athletic and can rip the ball back to the punter with consistent sub .80 times. Fun to watch this kid move and snap. Great upside.

Morgan White came all the way from NV and left no doubt he has all of the tools to be a great one for his class. Thick and strong with tons of power that just needs to be pushed in the right direction.

Anthony Laveroni is 2017 Long Snapper that came out to get finely tuned to walk on to a major university this spring and he showed me that he can definitely do it. Kid has great size and has the ability to get the ball sub .80. Increasing his athleticism and confidence will be huge for Anthony.

TOP 2019 LONG SNAPPERS
JJ Lindsay came to the northwest from Nor Cal and represented the Sunshine state very well. This left has great form and moved really well side to side. The more he snaps with pure confidence and trusts his great form, the more dominant he will be in his class. Great kid.

James Durr is looking thick and gaining good strength throughout his entire body. Ball can dip under .80 and the more he can do that consistently, the higher up the rankings he will go. Love his attitude.

Josiah Hirsch is a thick and powerful Long Snapper that could easily be a top 10 Long Snapper in his class when he realizes just how powerful and strong he truly is.

Alex Sheehan moved well side to side on his feet and was snapping the ball with tons of force all day. If he can control the spiral and lock down his accuracy, he will dominate VEGAS XXXI. I absolutely love the oomph he puts on each and every single snap.

Gavin Gately is dripping with potential. Big, tall man with an excellent frame that a college strength coach is going to manipulate into a monster. His hands are really quick.

Neo Sather is extremely athletic and has very quick hands. Locking down his spiral and increasing the overall speed of the ball is gong to be huge.

TOP 2020 LONG SNAPPERS
Michael Tokos was impressive to me, and I think himself as well, all day in the northwest. It was funny to watch Tokos become more and more surprised each time he would hear his snap times as if to say “WOW! Am I really snapping the ball that fast?!?!?!?” Yes, you are Tokos and keep up the good work.

Karl von Einseidel was one of the more athletic Long Snappers in his class (and at the camp for that matter). Raw Long Snapper that crushed all the agility tests and has great upside.

Cameron Landes showed me some great footwork and that he should easily be a factor on the punt coverage team. The more he can get his upper body to get through and not up first, the faster his ball will be in the long run. Great attitude.

Ben Schumock had very quick hands and tons of upside. His snaps can easily hit sub .80 and his potential is incredible. Smoothing out his overall snapping motion is going to be huge as we head to VEGAS XXXI.

Grayson Pibal is sitting on a mountain of potential. One of the smoothest Long Snappers out there and the more he can snap with just raw power, the better he will be.

Jack Laurin was great with his athleticism and his attitude. Locking down his spiral and continuing to put on size will increase his overall snap speeds.

Notables: Joel Antush, Colin Dolynski, Dakota Lepine, Tommy Sullivan

TOP 2021 LONG SNAPPERS and BEYOND
Alec Eckert showed great promise with his very long frame. Confidence is going to be huge for Alec has he continues to progress. When he allows his strong body to just rip the ball back to the punter, he can easily get bus .80 snap speeds at 15 yards. The less Alec thinks, the better he will do in the long run. Great upside and he can be as good as he wants to be.

Devin Claridge is an intense Long Snapper with good power and balance. His upside is very solid.

Anna DeCaprio (2022) has improved a great deal over the past year as she is now very close to using all of her lower half and is beginning to trust her form more and more.

Jackson Plieth (2022) impressed me with his overall attitude and athleticism for his age.

Blake Gorski (2022) shows great promise and excellent improvement over the past couple of months.

Rubio Long Snapping is, by far, the biggest and best resource for Long Snappers in the country. Rubio has been featured in the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, the USA Today, Deadspin and countless other publications.

Max does an excellent job of not remaining stagnant and is always improving. Very proud of Max and how far he has come with his Long Snapping.

The finals in CA were between Peter Bowden (56.76), JJ Lindsay (55.26), Matt Tokos (46.15), Max Nieland (45.32), Cruz Rubio (43.42) and Simon Samarzich (41.67). You can see the full finals video below….

Recap of the CA Spring Camp (3/5/17)

Rubio Long Snapping traveled to CA on March 5th, 2017 for their spring camp. Rubio Long Snapping will be traveling the country this spring instructing Long Snappers and getting them all ready for the 2nd biggest event of the year (the largest is our January Vegas Event), VEGAS 30!

This was the first Rubio Long Snapping regional camp that featured the RSI Testing to track a Long Snappers progress throughout the year and it was an overwhelming success. You can find out more about this new format HERE and the RSI’s from this actual camp already posted HERE

Simon Samarzich

Long Snappers from CA, NV, TX, IL, GA & UT all traveled to get the best instruction and the most exposure possible for Long Snapping.

The overall camp champion was Simon Samarzich (CA, ’19).  VEGAS 30! Samarzich has been on a tear ever since VEGAS XXIX in January where he was one of the most dominant Long Snappers in his class. You can tell he has been working hard and smart to fine tune his overall snapping motion. He is very athletic and extremely consistent with his snapping speed. Tons of upside on Simon as he just continues to improve.

You can see the full finals below….

Top 2017 Long Snappers

Noah Rodriguez-Trammell

Noah Rodriguez-Trammell looked his usual casual and comfortable self. He has great size, snaps a really smooth ball and is easily one of the most consistent Long Snappers in his class. Utah is getting a good one.

Harrison Hoffman was very solid all day and even got an offer from San Jose St. right after the camp. Easily the smoothest Long Snapper in CA and possibly the country. Never stops impressing me.

Chance Nelson is one of the most athletic Long Snappers in the country. Kid can fly downfield and is snapping a solid ball back to the punter.

Scott Stevens snaps a powerful ball and can pass an eyeball test from three miles away. Kid is massive and can play right now in college.

Notables: Johnny Fuentes and Nick Rovetti

Top 2018 Long Snappers

Brendan Bentley

Brendan Bentley was on fire all day in CA. Body is looking very solid and he is definitely moving better on his feet. Should be a flat out pure athlete by VEGAS 30. Love his attitude and work ethic.

Gabriel Cervantes continues to impress me with his overall frame and his snapping. Kid has grown about a foot in one year and he is using all of his body really well when he is snapping. Sky is the limit for this kid.

Kyle Petrucci was very impressive when he was snapping the ball hard back to the punter. Massive human being that is beginning to move better on his feet.

James Townsend is incredibly athletic and can easily be one of the top Long Snappers in his class. When he has everything click, his snaps are glorious.

Jesse Hooper was impressive in CA with his strong frame and powerful snaps.

Noah Howell is starting to really pick up steam and was looking solid in CA. Kid has great upside and starting to show off his true potential

Matt Tokos has a great personality and a smooth snap. He is the type of kid that a coach will love on and off the field.

Ryan Aguilar

Ryan Aguilar had a very good day in CA. His snapping form is solid and he is able to handle pressure well. Consistency of his speed and just becoming more fluid throughout will really help him out at VEGAS 30.

Mason Napper came all the way out from GA and was impressive. I love his large from and he has great consistency with his snaps. He hovered right around .77 all day long. Excellent upside on Napper.

Nathan Weneta had a solid day in CA. Great from and moves extremely well on his feet. The less he thinks, the better he does. Upside is huge.

Dean Lau won the overall speed competition with a snap of a .72 at 15 yards! Not only can Lau snap the ball fast, the kid can run like the wind. Definite factor on punt coverage.

Brad George is athletic and snaps with rage…..and I love it. Great attitude on a terrific Long Snapper and person.

Dylan Black had a good day with snaps in the .7s. Consistency of speed and size will be huge for Dylan as we creep towards VEGAS 30.

Aidan Livingston impressed me with his work ethic, form and his accuracy. More power and confidence will push him well into the .7s by VEGAS 30.

Top 2020 Long Snappers and beyond….

Aaron Estrada

Aaron Estrada had a great day and made into the finals even though he had an ear infection and was sick. Starting form is good and he handles pressure well. Estrada got a little fatigued in the end but I have a feeling it was due to his body just saying “that’s enough” Very impressive day for Estrada.

Kameron Hawkins has, quite possibly, the best form in his class. He uses his body extremely well and can hit in the low .8s very consistently. Works hard and smart at all times.

Cruz Rubio is a thick, strong Long Snapper that moves well on his feet for his size. When Cruz gets set, he is the best in his class and can hit in the low .7s. Consistency of speed is going to be huge for him.

Jacob Garcia snaps a really nice tight spiral with good consistency. Need to see him get some more pressure on his left hand to center the ball more on the punter. Really good improvement over the past couple of months.

Recap of the WA Fall Camp (10/23/16)

Rubio Long Snapping traveled to Washington on October 23rd, 2016 for their fall camp. Rubio Long Snapping will be traveling the country this fall instructing Long Snappers and getting them all ready for the biggest event of the year, VEGAS XXIX!

Long Snappers from WA, ID, OR, CA & LA all traveled to get the best instruction and the most exposure possible for Long Snapping.

The overall camp champion was Matt Baldeck (ID, ’17)! Baldeck was on fire all day long and was throwing some severe heat out in the Northwest. His snaps are VERY powerful and he easily get in the low .7s to high .6s. He dominated the speed competition and almost won the accuracy competition. Confidence is high right now and he is making a solid name for himself across the country. Powerful and thick frame. His victory in WA earned him a free admission to VEGAS XXIX!

You can actually watch the finals between Matt Baldeck and Kellen Dyer below from the live feed on the Rubio Long Snapping Periscope.

The next stop for Rubio Long Snapping will be CA on October 30th, followed by NC (11/20), TX (12/4), AZ (12/11) and GA (12/18)

Jake Gibson

Top 2017 Long Snappers
Jake Gibson was very solid in WA. His form is excellent and he is nails under pressure. Nothing rattles the kid and he uses all of his body really well to gain some good speed.

Zack Jenkins did really well in WA. Ball is on target and he is one of the smoothest Long Snappers in his class. Widening out on his stance and his waistline will help a ton. LOTS of upside on Zach.

Eli Jenkins is dripping with potential and I love when he lets the ball fly out of his hands. Really has a good upside.

Cody Clements is a large Long Snapper with a strong frame and tons of potential. Confidence will be huge as we head into Vegas.

Notables: Brock Olive, Calvin Maher and Braden Otto

Kellen Dyer

Kellen Dyer

Kellen Dyer was VERY solid in WA. Ball is accurate and he has some great consistency. Needs to make sure he quickens up his hands and legs. No knee hitch will equal the ball in the .7s. Really impressed with his overall work ethic and attitude.

Spencer Luce is overflowing with potential and could easily dominate his class with more accuracy and consistency. CONFIDENCE is going to be huge for him as we head into VEGAS. This could be off the charts good.

Notable: Grayson Broussard

Top 2019 Long Snappers

JJ Lindsay

JJ Lindsay

JJ Lindsay showed me some great things in WA. Love his form and his overall attitude. Built with long legs and he is already using them well.

Dean Lau is an incredible athlete that destroys all athletic tests I throw his way. MAJOR factor in punt coverage as we move into VEGAS and beyond. Size and strength will be huge for him as he continues through the process.

James Durr showed me a lot of potential. He is a smooth Long Snapper with good upside. Built well and I like his attitude.

Top 2020, 2021 & 2022 Long Snappers

Kameron Hawkins

Kameron Hawkins

Kameron Hawkins has excellent form and showed he could, and should, win a Rubio Long Snapping camp very soon. Kam is an extremely accurate Long Snapper that will continue to get better with more strength and athleticism. Snaps the ball as well as anyone I have seen at his age. Overall speed on the ball and his legs will be key in dominating his class throughout the years.

Cameron Landes has a ton of potential and could stay in the top five of his class for all four years of high school. Built REALLY long with a frame that can put on about fifty pounds over the next couple years. Ball is smooth and accurate. Moves really well on his feet.

Alec Eckert is a very long athlete for the class of 2021. Great frame and dripping with potential. Making sure he works on his flexibility and not dragging the football back will help a ton in the long run. He will be as good as he wants to be with his Long Snapping.

Anna DeCaprio was VERY impressive for her first Rubio Long Snapping camp. She has great explosion and an excellent spiral for her age. Widening out her stance and getting her hips straight will help a ton. Great first camp.
