Review of NC Fall Camp 2023

Rubio Long Snapping’s 6th stop of the fall tour was in North Carolina with a great camp overflowing with talent.

The next stop for Rubio Long Snapping is New Jersey & San Francisco on December 10th.

The HS finalists with the top RSIs were: Ashten Dunman, Michael Mielke, Blake Martin, Zayden Lassiter, Jacob Ruminiski, and Harper Daniel

The overall champion was Ashten Dunman (VA, 2025).

What is one unique thing about you that everyone might NOT know? If you are from North Carolina, you will probably consider this a unique fact – Although I have
committed to UNC, my family and I have always been Duke fans.  I grew up going to Duke
sporting events.  My grandfather is an “Iron Duke” athletic supporter.  I never owned anything
“Carolina Blue” until I committed.  As a kid I refused to wear Air Jordans because Michael
Jordan played at UNC. Obviously now I am a HUGE UNC FAN! And now, my wardrobe is all
Carolina blue! GO HEELS!!

Hobbies:  I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I love playing golf, bowling, hunting and fishing, and spending time learning abou the Lord at my church.

Favorite Movie:  “Greater” the story about the best walk-on Brandon Burlsworth.  I can relate to this movie more than any other because of the determination and work ethic we both display.  Ever since a young age, I’ve had to work to reach goals just like Brandon did throughout the movie.

Favorite Food:  Anything homemade my mom cooks: however, if I have to pick one it would be her famous steak and baked potatoes!

Favorite Motivational Quote:  Instead of a quote that keeps me going, it’s a bible verse! The verse is Matthew 19:26 stating “Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”’ All my successes have been because God has been with me and helped me through all my challenges. Like stated above, without God all things are impossible!

What makes YOU the best Long Snapper in the Country?   I believe my traits of athleticism helps me become the best long snapper in the country! For my high school, I am a two way athlete who plays both Tight End and Defensive Tackle for all 48 minutes of the football game along with longsnapping! With that, my ability to handle pressured situations! Whether my coach needs a high pressured snap for a field goal, or a perfect punt snap I’m always up for the task! The final thing that makes me stand out is my ability to put my team first! I want everyone on my team to be successful before myself, so I’m willing to sacrifice my statistics to ensure a win!
What is one unique thing about you that everyone might NOT know?  One unique thing that many people don’t know about me is at my first ever long snapping camp freshman year, I was dead last. I couldn’t hit the target if my life depended on it. I was so frustrated and wanted to give up. However, giving up wasn’t an option. I continued to work by snapping almost every day. Now today after 4 years of hard work and dedication, I claim the title of being 6th in nation!
