5 Key Points for the Class of 2015 Long Snappers

  • You still have a long way to go with recruiting. Breathe, relax, take a chill pill. Read THIS ten more times. Laminate it. Memorize it. Breathe. Every single year, I will have a couple Long Snappers get picked up in August of their senior year. Yes, the August that is about 8 months from now. TONS will happen between the time you read this and August. Like I always tell everyone, this is probably your first time going through the recruitment of a Long Snapper…just think of how many times I have done it.
  • You should be attending every single Rubio Long Snapping camp this spring that is near you (yes, VEGAS XXVI as well)….just like normal. Those that take their foot off the gas because “they are committed” end up really struggling as they enter college. Trust me, I have seen it hundreds of times. Nothing will piss off a coach more than recruiting a kid and he isn’t VERY ready when he steps on campus.
  • In the summer, you should attend the Rubio Long Snapping College Camp for College Long Snappers to see how really compare to Long Snappers that are already in college. Welcome to the real world my friends.
  • Be someone to be followed and lead by example. Don’t be the guy that future Long Snappers ask “What ever happened to ________ and why didn’t he ever pan out?”
  • Be SMART and end your high school career strong. Be nice to everyone on the way out and be ready to move on.

PS….DO NOT EVEN THINK YOU SHOULD BE CONSIDERED FOR MY STAFF UNTIL YOU HAVE PROVEN YOURSELF IN COLLEGE. Until you arrive on your college campus, you should be busting your butt so you can dominate at the next level. Doing well in high school is one thing, doing well in college and in the NFL is a whole new ball game.

Happy Ranksgiving to the Class of 2015

The rankings are completed for ALL  2015 Long Snappers that participated in the Rubio Long Snapping Spring Event in Las Vegas.

This class is a very tricky one to rank since so many guys are so close in ability. Amazing group of talented Long Snappers.

Congratulations to the next EVENT ELITE Member: AJ CARTY!

EVENT ELITE: 1st of person in non-senior citizen non-female band w/ bad facial hair & home base, at times, for things that one would consume

(AJ McLean is a member of the Backstreet Boys. That bad is a boy band, non-senior citizen and all male, non-female. Then, a shopping CART is where things you consume, eat, would reside until you check them out of the store)

Congratulations to Rubio Long Snapper AJ Carty (CA, ’15) on being the next member of the EVENT ELITE! The EVENT ELITE will be joining the TOP 12 to form the invite only, TOP 12 and EVENT ELITE Camp this summer.

Carty has been on a roll for the past couple of months. He is built like a D1 Long Snapper already and he is snapping like one as well. Tremendous attitude and snaps the ball with great force.

Happy Ranksgiving to the Class of 2015 Long Snappers from the NC & GA Camps

The rankings are completed for the class of 2015 Long Snappers that participated in the Rubio Long Snapping Spring Nike Camp in NC & GA.

These rankings really moved around after these two camps. The 11th Annual National Spring Event on May 4-5 is going to be even more important.

2015 Long Snappers may now celebrate Rankuary!

The rankings are completed for the class of 2015 Long Snappers post the 11th Annual National Kicking and Snapping Event in Las Vegas. This was a very difficult class for me to rank due to their talent level. I have never had a sophomore class that was this advanced. The next year of camps is going to amazing to watch this group continue to advance. May will be very intense for this class. They will no longer be the babies, they will be ready to truly run with the big dogs.
