Jaffe, Grant

  • Bradley Robinson is growing by the day and has excellent form.
  • Phillip Thomas was impressive with good speed and accuracy.
  • Gabe Skrobot looks like a college player right now and is headed that way with his form
  • Paul Monaco was solid all day and improving very quickly.

  • If you would like anything added to your profile page, simply email me ([email protected]) the information and consider it done.

Rubio Long Snapper Matt Keller Picks Up Full Ride

Rubio Long Snapper and Event Elite member Matt Keller (15, PA) has picked up a full ride offer to Syracuse!

If Keller was to commit to Syracuse, he would be following in Rubio Long Snapper Sam Rodgers’ footsteps.

Here is the review from his profile page and video below the quote…Keller, Matt

He has good size with room to grow. Form is excellent and the harder he snaps the ball, the better he will be. VERY accurate and consistent with his snaps. Leaning back and snapping with more force will be big for him in the future. Stoic Long Snapper that handles pressure well. Upside. Coachable.

Congratulations to Keller and his family.

James Townsend, #1 Long Snapper for Class of 2018

This class of Long Snappers is really staring to shine with several freshman standing out.

  • Leading the pack was James Townsend of CA. Townsend was on fire all day in CA. His form is very good and he can already snap in the low .8s. Solid frame with a great attitude.
  • Joseph Ramos of AZ is a massive man with a bright future in Long Snapping. Ball is quick and he is dripping with potential.
  • Loved the improvement I saw on Hunter Dickey. He is extremely long with a ton of potential.
  • Another kid with a lot of potential and length is Kyle Petrucci. Once it all clicks for him, he will dominate.

Call me crazy, but I would be willing to bet that since each one of these schools has at least one Rubio Long Snapper is the main reason they are where they are….you’re welcome fans of those teams:)

Long Snapper SCORES Touchdown

D'Appollino, AlanAs I am sure everybody knows (well, everybody involved with Long Snapping), a Alan D’Appollonio of Arkansas scored a touchdown! If you haven’t seen this VERY creative play, it is a must watch.

Alan attended several Rubio Long Snapping Vegas Events and ended up being a 5 Star Long Snapper that was ranked 11th in the country in 2011. Alan has always had tremendous athleticism and it looks as though the Arkansas staff has taken note. Congratulations to Alan and the Arkansas football team.

He was on fire all day long and was even snapping in the low .7s to high .6s at times. Kid is very good and did well enough to take the top spot for his class!
  • Liked what I saw from Noah Rodriguez-Trammel as well. Kid is built VERY long and is dripping with potential.
  • Peter Snodgrass did well at the camp with his very quick hands and consistent snaps.

8 Things Every Parent Can do to Help with Recruiting

Follow these easy steps to make your son and/or daughter a more recruitable athlete…

  1. Do NOT overstep your bounds. If I have said it once, I have said it a hundred times….the coach will be recruiting your son and/or daughter, NOT you.
  2. Be very supportive of your son and/or daughter. I know they are going through their teenage years and this one can be tough, but remember, you were once a teenager (even if they don’t acknowledge) and times can be tough.
  3. Make sure your son and/or daughter will actually have a chance to go to college. There are tons of hoops to jump through nowadays, and you want to make sure your child has them all covered.
  4. Create a nice, clean highlight tape that is available on YouTube. Remember, you do NOT have to be an award winning director to create a great video.
  5. Review possible questions that a coach might ask your son and/or daughter. Role play if you will. Make sure your child speaks clearly, slowly and is looking you in the eyes.
  6. Do research on schools and try as hard as you can to take some trips to the schools on NON sports days. Sure, every school looks amazing on game day, but that is not reality. It will only look like that about six weekends per year. Go to the campus on a Tuesday, see what is really like. Go during different seasons so you can truthfully understand the different weather the area might have.
  7. Be sure your son is getting the right type of exposure from the right people. Just because someone tells you something, doesn’t mean it is true. Ask around, ask other parents. Do your homework.
  8. Allow your kid to be on social media, but make sure they know you are monitoring them. Nothing personal to the athletes, but they are young and they are dumb (sorry, it’s true and the reason I know it’s true is because every single adult was also, you guessed it, young AND dumb once as well) and they will make mistakes. The only difference is that when an adult used to be young and dumb, only the people that saw them do something ignorant knew about it. Now, with the onslaught of social media, the world can know about it in less than a second. Even saying that, there are so many benefits to social media for them to be off of it (one of the first questions a coach will ask me, “is the kid on Facebook? Have him friend me so I can contact him”).

Rubio Long Snapping is, by far, the biggest and best resource for Long Snappers in the country. Rubio has been featured in the Washington Post, the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, the USA Today, Deadspin and countless other publications.

Offering the best instruction and most exposure in the world, Rubio Long Snapping can help you to become the best snapper you can be!

In just 15 years, Chris Rubio, President and Owner of Rubio Long Snapping, has become the #1 Long Snapping instructor in the country and the go-to man when a college coach needs a Long Snapper. Colleges from across the country rely on “Rubio’s” word day in and day out on who the best Long Snappers are in the country. Rubio Long Snapping has assisted in over 1,000 Long Snappers earning full scholarships and preferred walk-on opportunities to major colleges and universities just for Long Snapping and many into the NFL as well.

MAJOR Positive Vibes Needed for Rubio Long Snapper Gabriel Miller

For the past couple of weeks, I have been communicating back and forth with Rubio Long Snapper Gabriel Miller of Nebraska and his mother. Gabe tweaked his back prior to season and was having some issues. I honestly thought it would pass with some good rest, it didn’t.

This morning, Miller is having major back surgery (5:30 am pst) and it will last for several hours. He will be having a lumbar laminectomy with a spinal fusion. He has an exposed nerve that is causing numbness and now some hamstring weakening.

Bottom line, I want the Rubio Long Snapping family to pull together and help Gabe out through this ordeal. You can shoot him a message on Twitter at @GabeMiller_LS or even mail him a quick note at 2021 G Street, Lincoln, NE. 68510.

Gabe, and his family, need us all right now. Any of you that know Gabe, know he is always with a smile and I don’t want today, or the following weeks, to be any different.

With Social Media, Just Think R – U – B – I – O

Read each thing you are going to post at least FIVE times before you post it. If, in any way you can be offending someone or something, do NOT send it out to the world.

Understand that once you press Post, Publish, Share or Tweet, your statement is live, all over the world. Even if you delete it later, someone could have saw it and screenshot it.

Be smart and use common sense. If you don’t have any common sense, find someone that does and have them review your posts before you send them out. (Pssst…even I do this)

Intelligent people tend to post intelligent things. Idiots tend to post idiotic things. Don’t be an idiot.

Only you will be responsible for what you post. Good or bad, it is all on you. Be smart.

Something Special for the NY Long Snappers

It turns out that SoloShot will on hand at the Rubio Long Snapping NY camp this Sunday, September 14th!

SoloShot was on hand at the Rubio Long Snapping Season Prep Camp in CA in late July and was very impressive. Basically, the subject (whomever you want to film) wears a “tag” and the SoloShot follows that person, non-stop, for as long as you want. It is kind of creepy, but in a good way.

You use any video camera you want, you set it up on top of the SoloShot which is on a tripod. Boom. Done. A parent or coach can now actually see real life instead of always behind a small viewing screen.

Before you email me, yes, SoloShot will be on hand for a couple other Rubio Long Snapping camps this fall and definitely at VEGAS XXV!
