Top Rubio Long Snappers by Region – Class of 2020

Here is a look at the class of 2020’s top ranked Rubio Long Snappers in each region of the country.

ROCKY MOUNTAIN (Montana, Wyoming, Utah and Colorado)

  Hogan, Peyton (MT)

Easily one of the most athletic Long Snappers in the country. Pure athlete that could possibly go for two spots in college. Type of Long Snapper that can get hot and absolutely crush other Long Snappers around him. He is able to use his whole body really well and gets some very good speed on the ball. The more weight he puts on, the more he will dominate at the next level. Tremendous upside on Hogan.

Brandt, Luke (CO)

He is extremely raw and is oozing with talent. His hands are lightning quick and he snaps the ball with very little wasted movement. His times were as good as .76 and that is fully attributed to his quickness. Luke was by far the best athlete at the camp and is an incredibly hard worker. I would love to see Luke continue to improve on getting his entire body involved in order to become more powerful. Once he does this and snaps a consistently tight spiral, Luke is going to be a force. I expect him to impress at his next Rubio Long Snapping event.

Malone, Luke (CO)

He has very good size and can pass an eyeball test very quickly. His snaps show good accuracy and his speed is solid. Like to see him lean back a bit more to increase his accuracy even more. Also, being quicker out of the gate and making sure he is not having any hiccups and/or movements with his upper body prior to the snap will help with the spiral and speed up the ball. Very good upside on Luke.

Rheinbolt, Tanner (CO)

He has improved a great deal over the past year and I am really impressed with his overall performance this summer. Balance is good and his form is good. Smooth Long Snapper with good accuracy and consistency. Need to see Tanner focus on snapping with great confidence and just letting the ball fly out of his hands. Snapping with more aggression is going to be the key. His form is so good that he needs to just trust it and let the ball scream out of the gate. LOVE his overall attitude and he will make a college coach very happy in the near future. Massive jump in the rankings and well deserved.

Tucker, Christian (CO)

Good frame that could easily put on some good weight over the next couple of years. He reaches through very well and gets his eyes through like a champ. Like to see Tucker focus on slow motion drills to get his legs fully involved to gain more speed on the ball. Also, not thinking so much will help a ton pre-snap. Letting his body, and trusting it, do the work will help a ton. Good attitude and he is improving well. Keep an eye on him at VEGAS!

NORTHWEST (Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Alaska & Canada)

Sullivan, Tommy (WA)

He is an extremely smooth and accurate Long Snapper with great consistency. Type of Long Snapper that simply doesn’t miss. Rarely, and I mean very rarey, will have a ball out of The Rubio Zone. Kid works as hard as anyone in the country and will easily be able to snap in college. His coach at the next level is going to love his attitude.

Pibal, Grayson(OR)

Easily one of the smoothest Long Snappers in the country. Watching him snap is almost hypnotic since has such a smooth snapping motion and his ball is so consistent. I absolutely love when Pibal just grips and rips the ball back to the punter. Smooth on his feet as well. Great frame and will easily be able to snap in college. Love his attitude.

  Landes, Cameron (WA)

Really athletic frame and he moves like a champion on the field. The harder he snaps the ball, the better Landes does. When he is on, he is very on and can dominate others around him. Love his attitude and upside. Great frame that will able to put on about 40 more lbs in college. Type of body and snapping motion that will give him the opportunity to snap a ball for a long, long time.

Schumock, Ben (WA)

Really athletic Long Snapper that can snap at the next level. Great frame and he will be able to move and compete in college well. Snaps are smooth and I love when he is snapping the ball with full power. He snaps with great power and force when he is on. Consistency of his power is going to be the key to his greatness. Excellent attitude.

Parker, Levi
(ID)

He was one of the smoothest, yet raw (in a good way), snappers in the camp. Levi very effectively uses his entire upper body to generate power on his snaps. His freakish flexibility allows him to practically hand the ball to the punter. He does a great job of finishing his hands and his eyes however I would like to see him finish back more consistently, rather than forward. If he can get his lower body working as effectively as his upper body, he could become an absolute beast. I love the potential in this snapper. I can’t wait to see Levi’s very quick progress at his next Rubio Long Snapping event.

Laurin, Jack (CAN)

Extremely athletic Long Snapper with excellent form. Uses his whole body really well and is getting some great pop from his lower half. Love that his legs are moving so well in the snapping motion. Kid is very good and only getting better. Locking down his release point will be huge for increasing his overall accuracy and pushing his RSI up to get him into the finals at VEGAS!

  Long, Devon (ID)

He is a large Long Snapper with great power throughout his whole body. Built very solid and strong. Starting form is good and he has some quick hands. Almost using his whole body when he is snapping the ball and when he does, his ball will be well under .75. When he is on, Long is very on and can hover in the high .7s. Really looking forward to seeing him get his whole body involved in the process.

Lepine, Dakota (CAN)

Thick Long Snapper with a powerful frame. Made it to the finals and showed well under some good pressure. Starting form is very good and he is using his whole body really well in the process. Form is good and his snapping motion is smooth. As Lepine continues to increase his overall athleticism, he will continue to rise up the rankings. Very good worker. Snapping with full power and rage is going to be huge for Lepine.

Nichols, Andrew (OR)

He has a good frame and is built like an athlete. Starting form is very good and he is reaching through well. His hands are quick and he is able to get the ball back to the punter in the high .7s when he is really letting the ball fly out of his hands. Making sure he is getting his legs fully involved in the process will really help with Nichols with his overall speed and getting the ball under .75. Good potential on Nichols.

Smithson, Bryce (ID)

He has a good, long frame that has room to put on some good weight over the next couple of years. Bryce reaches back very well and practically hands the ball to the punter. Need to see Bryce get his back flat at the start of the snapping motion so he is able to use more of his long legs. Great potential on length alone. Listens well.

PACIFIC (California, Nevada, Arizona and Hawaii)

  Garcia, Jacob (CA)

Thick and strong body. Massive legs with great power in the them. Starting form is excellent and he snaps one of the tightest balls in the country. Ball is quick and Garcia showed how quick it was by winning the speed competition of the camp with times in the mid to high .6s! Explodes well with his lower half and the harder he snaps, the better his speeds will be and the more separation he will create between he and the defender when he sets to block. He is ready right now to snap in college. Tremendous Long Snapper that can play anywhere in the country.

 Hawkins, Kameron (CA)

Ball was in the high .6s to low .7s at all times. Powerful Long Snapper that is looking more athletic and muscular each time I see him. His lower half looks like tree trunks. You can tell he has been working his butt off. Form is exceptional and he uses all of his body with each snap. Snaps a ball that picks up speed and rises into the punter. No doubt he can snap at the next level and he can do it right now. One of the hardest workers you will ever see in the world of Long Snapping. Flat out machine that handles pressure extremely well.

Munoz, Michael (CA)

Love his overall frame and upside. Might have the most overall potential of anyone in his class. Snaps a smooth and catchable ball that no punter will complain about. There’s nothing sweeter than when Munoz really drives his upper body all the way through to the punter. You are looking at a low .7 snap right on the punter’s hip. Type of Long Snapper that can be Snapping for a long, long time when it all clicks.

Barcelos, Nick (CA)

Tremendous Long Snapper that is very athletic and could possibly play two positions in college. At The TOP 12 Camp, he was snapping with incredible confidence and power. Each ball was coming back harder and harder, and I loved it! He is coming along very well and is easily going to be able to snap in college.

  Rubio, Cruz (CA)

One of the more athletic Long Snappers in his class. Cruz can flat out fly and has terrific feet. Body is strong and he has room to put on another twenty lbs. over the next couple of years. Snaps are tight and he is always in the mix of getting into the finals. Consistency of driving his upper body through is the key to his greatness. When he does that, he is as good as anyone in the country. Very coachable Long Snapper that snaps a powerful ball that can crush a punter’s hands. Always improving.

Gardner, Beau (CA)

Absolutely massive human being that can play two positions in college. Strong and powerful Long Snapper that can rip the ball back to the punter. The smoother his snapping motion is, the better and more consistent Beau is with his snapping. Upside is off the charts and the smoothness of his snapping motion is the key to his greatness. Type of frame that can be snapping for a very long time.

McCutcheon, Cole (AZ)

He is a very consistent Long Snapper that is able to move well on his feet. He is able to use his whole body well and can easily snap an FBS ball right now. Love when he drives his elbows through to create even more power on his ball. Very hard worker that is always improving. Great attitude.

  Estrada, Aaron (CA)

Moves really well on his feet and is a pure athlete. Love it when he snaps with full power and he can easily do this at the next level. Finding his groove and being consistent with his snapping motion is the key to his greatness. Thickening up very well. Love his hard working attitude.

Salom, Davis (CA)

His pure power and lightning quick hands have his snap humming. Evidence of this was him earning the title of camp speed champion with a fastest snap time of .69. Davis has a very compact snap that is extremely efficient. His massive frame certainly helps him generate power but the best explanation for his fast times is his quick hands. The big guy moves pretty darn well too. I would like to see Davis emphasize getting his elbows through his thighs with limited disruption. This will help him throw a more consistent spiral. If Davis can maintain his fast times and get his spiral consistently tight, he is going to make a huge push for one of the top spots. I am excited to watch Davis continue his path of domination at his next Rubio Long Snapping event.

Felt, Bryce (CA)

Smooth Long Snapper that is really coachable. He gets in a groove and can dominate a camp. The more confidence he snaps with, the better Felt does with his snapping. Confidence and knowing he can crush anyone around him will be the key to his greatness. Tremendous worker. Felt has improved as quickly as anyone to go through Rubio Long Snapping in the last 14 years. He uses absolutely every ounce of his body and can rip the ball back to the punter. Easily snaps the ball at D1 speeds. The quicker his ball gets out of the gate, the better his snap speeds will be. I love how quickly he can adapt and adjust to overcome any issues with his snapping. Great workhorse attitude and he can easily snap at the next level.

SOUTHWEST (New Mexico and Texas)

  Roberts, John Luke (TX)

Tremendous athlete with massive upside. When he is on, he is very on and can dominate a camp. Type of frame and Long Snapper that can be snapping a ball for very long time. Love when he snaps hard and lets his long body just take over his snapping motion.

Penn, Valen (TX)

His hands are like rockets. Penn might have the quickest hands in the country. His hands are so quick that the ball jumps out of the gate like a champ and is at ten yards when everyone else’s is at seven. His times are excellent and definitely at the college level. Attitude is excellent and he works as hard as anyone in the country. Move swell on his feet and left no doubt that he is a factor on the punt coverage team. Extremely consistent Long Snapper.

  Lane, Ethan (TX)

Powerful Long Snapper with a massive and strong body. Lane hovered in the mid .7s all day long and didn’t even have a snap in the .8s at any point in the day. Making sure he gets both hands to follow all the way through will put the ball right on the punters hip and will make him never miss The Rubio Zone. Excellent personality and will be a dominant player in any locker room. Loved watching him compete at The TOP 12 camp. Lane is super intense and will be an asset to his college football team and his coach. He can be a leader on and off the field. Going to be a great pickup for a college in the near future.

Hooker, Blake (TX)

His body is coming along nicely and he is moving well on his feet. Definitely moving towards becoming a factor on the punt coverage team. Form is very smooth and efficient. He uses all of his body really well. The bigger and stronger he gets along with snapping with full confidence, the closer to a 5 star Rubio Long Snapper he will be. Excellent attitude.

Tejada, Angelo (TX)

Strong Long Snapper with a great, athletic frame. Hard working Long Snapper that is always improving. Ball is smooth and is easily at the FBS level for speed. Love when Tejada is driving all the way through with his upper body. Great upside and he can do this at the next level. Consistency is the key to his greatness.

  Wiltcher, Dylan (TX)

Great attitude on this Long Snapper that is always improving. Form is flat out excellent and he is able to snap the ball, consistently, in the .7s. Ball is easy to catch and any punter would be lucky to have him on their team. As Wiltcher continues to gain size and strength, locking down his release point will push him up the rankings even more as it will give him tremendous accuracy. Better accuracy will push up his RSi and get him into the finals of a camp. Wiltcher is great, I know it and I need him to know it as well.

  Gentry, Cortt (TX)

He has a great frame and was definitely one of the most athletic Long Snappers at the camp. Really impressed with his athleticism. If you ever want to see a Long Snapper dive through to the punter like an absolute champ, simply watch Gentry. He almost hands the ball to the punter. His accuracy is solid and he can easily snap the ball in the .7s. Locking down his release point and spiral will huge for Gentry. If he can get his powerful and muscular legs to be fully involved in the snapping process, Gentry would easily be snapping in the .6s, yes .6s, at VEGAS XXXIV in May. Easily could earn a TOP 12 Camp Invite in Vegas. Keep a very close eye on Gentry.

Halfmann, Kaleb (TX)

He is a very athletic Long Snapper that handled pressure well and definitely showed me that he can snap at the next level. Form is solid and he is able to use his whole body very well. When his hands are super quick and he doesn’t hitch, his ball is easily at the D1 level, no question about it.  Powerful Long Snapper with massive upside. Being quicker is the only thing he needs to focus on. He could easily dominate within his class.

Caillier, Jarett (TX)

First off, he can pass an eyeball test very quickly. Massive man that gets bigger and stronger every time I see him. Starting form is good and he can get super hot with his snapping. When Caillier is on, he is very on and can easily snap a D1 ball. Need to see improved consistency and the kid will just fly up the rankings. He has all of the tools for greatness!

Driskell, Caleb (TX)

Strong and athletic Long Snapper that can handle pressure well plus move like a champ on his feet. Starting form is good and his hands are quick. They will be even quicker if he can eliminate dragging the ball back to the punter. Uses his legs well and he gets some good pop on the ball. Getting rid of the drag is going to improve his accuracy, spiral and consistency. Easy fix that will provide tons of upside over the next year. Immense amount of potential.

SOUTH CENTRAL (Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana)

  Chism, Eli (LA)

Strong Long Snapper that has a great form and a terrific work ethic. He is always improving and one of the more consistent Long Snappers in his class. Thick and powerful. Quick ball. He is using his whole body really well. Great overall Long Snapper that definitely can do this at the next level.

Hawthorne, Daniel (LA)

He ended up winning the speed competition in the end with times in the .6s. His ball was like a rocket all day long and he was so impressive that I offered him a TOP 12 Camp Invitation on the spot! Body is strong, he is improving quickly and there is no doubt he can snap at the next level. Locking down his spiral and making sure he is always following through with both hands will benefit Hawthorne a ton. Great kid.

Knape, Coltin (OK)

Great frame and he can pass an eyeball test quickly. Looks like he has done some definite growing in the past year. Looks like a college tight end. Form is good and he snaps well under pressure. Moving on his feet is no issue as Knape will be a true factor on the punt coverage team. Hovered in the mid to low .8s all day and showed me that he can definitely snap at the next level. Massive upside on Knape and definitely one to watch.

  Bergeron, John (LA)

Legs are getting bigger and stronger by the minute. He is walking on tree trunks with maximum power. Form is good and he is snapping with solid force. Driving his eyes through and making sure his spiral is tight will be make sure Bergeron continues to advance up the rankings. He will be as good as he chooses to be with his Long Snapping. One of the best overall personalities in his class.

McFarland, Jackson (LA)

He has a god frame and he has some quick hands. Balance is good and McFarland is able to use his whole body really well. Ball is clean and easy to catch. Athletic body. Locking down his release point will be huge for McFarland and increasing his overall speed and accuracy. Great upside.

Davidson, Toby (MO)

I am a massive fan of Davidson when he snaps with confidence and truly realizes how great a Long Snapper he is and what his upside is for the long term. Starting form is very good and he snaps a really smooth ball back to the punter. Any punter that complains about the catch-ability of his snaps has some issues. The harder he snaps and the more he follows through with his fingers, the more dominant Davidson becomes. Getting his ball, consistently, under .79 will be the key to really moving up the rankings. Great attitude and a hard worker.

Pipes, Nelson (MO)

Extremely athletic Long Snapper that moves very well on his feet. One of the smoothest Long Snappers in his class. His form is excellent and he does a great job of getting his upper body all the way through to his punter. Accuracy is solid as you can see with RSI’s continuously in the double digits. If Pipes can really drive his head/eyes through, he will increase his overall accuracy even more and the whipping of his head will push up his speed. Kid is good and bordering on great. Legs are almost perfectly timed up for greatness. I like his attitude.

Bourque, Phillip
(LA)

Bourque is a large and very powerful Long Snapper that might have the size and strength to play two spots on a college football team. Form is excellent and he is quick with his snapping motion. The more Bourque can lean back and improve his overall athleticism, the more colleges will love him. Being able to cover downfield is going to be huge for Bourque in the long run. Very solid attitude and he is motivated. Powerful Long Snapper with good upside.

Duggar, Emory (LA)

He is a big man with tons of power when he is snapping the ball. One of the more intriguing Long Snappers at the camp, when Dugger was on, he was very on. If he can become more consistent by leaning back more and getting his butt down, he will easily, and I mean easily, be snapping at the next level. Smoothing out his snapping motion is going to be the key to greatness for Dugger. I can’t express enough how much potential this kid has and he is definitely someone to watch this fall and at VEGAS XXXV.

Franks, Colton (MO)

He was able to handle pressure well and he is able to move well on his feet. His hands area quick and his eyes are good getting through to the punter. Making sure he is not dragging the ball and really getting his lower half fully involved will greatly increase the speed of the ball. Balance is good and he has solid potential.

MID AMERICA (Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky)

  Halkyard, Will (IL)

Super athletic Long Snapper that will easily be a factor on the punt coverage team. Moves really well. He is improving at a tremendous level right now. Everytime you see Halkyard he can amaze you with his great snaps and even better attitude.

Tarr, Gregory (MI)

He is easily one of the most accurate and consistent Long Snappers in the country. His snapping motion is terrific and he has absolutely zero wasted movement. Tarr gets set, starts the snapping motion and his ball is gone. It is so quick that he can be hard to even time. The ball gets a tremendous jump out of the gate and is always on target. He earned a Polynesian Bowl All-American spot in July. Michigan is getting a great one in Tarr.

  Floyd, Byron (OH)

Massive Long Snapper that can easily pass an eyeball test from a college coach. Body is thick and very powerful. His balance is solid and he is leaning back really well. HIs snaps speeds are at the college level right now, let alone in a year and a half. Locking down his release point and making sure he is following through with both hands will drastically increase his overall accuracy and push his RSI way up.

Kelly, Christo (IL)

Massive Long Snapper with an even bigger personality. Really starting to come into his own and snap the ball with a ton of confidence. Really impressive performance at the TOP 12 Camp in July. He was on fire and never let up. Loved watching him out there. He definitely proved to me he deserves 5 stars.

  Boan, David (IL)

Massive Long Snapper that has great length and can easily pass an eyeball test from a college coach. For a big man, Boan moves extremely well on his feet. Looks pretty much effortless moving forward or side to side. Ball is smooth and really easy to catch. Easily was able to snap the ball under .775. Boan is good and headed right to greatness. The harder he snaps, the better he does.

Perry, Clay (KY)

Strong and powerful Long Snapper that uses his whole body very well. Muscular legs pop very well and provide a good amount of speed on the ball. His movements are quick and the ball gets to the punter rapidly. Excellent attitude and he has all of the tools to snap very well at the next level. Hard working Long Snapper that is constantly improving.

Cramer, Peyton (IL)

He can snap the ball extremely fast and it can crush the punter’s hands. I saw him snap MANY balls that would hit right in the chest of the punter and be on the rise. That shows great power and speed. Form is good and he is able to use his whole body very well. The more consistency he gets, the more Cramer will shine at the next level for Illinois State. Hard working Log Snapper with lots of upside. Always improving.

 Duff, Jonathan (OH)

First off, Duff has one of the best attitudes in his class. I absolutely love how he is always smiling Starting form is solid and he dives through like a champ to the punter. It looks like he is trying to hand the ball to the punter and I love it. Legs are getting involved well and his timing is almost perfect. If Duff can speed up his legs just a tad, his timing will be perfect and the ball will be well under .75 at VEGAS XXXIV in May. Slow motion drills will help Duff become a flat out dominant Long Snapper in his class. Really good camp for Duff in IL.

Worthen, Jackson (KY)

One of the smoothest Long Snappers in his class, Worthen continues his dominance at camps. Hovers in the mid .7s at all times and his form is gorgeous to watch. Locking down his release point will increase his accuracy. One of those Long Snappers that is always in the finals and has a very legit shot of winning it all in Vegas. Smooth and consistent Long Snapper that can definitely do this at the next level.

Reardon, Liam (IL)

He ended up winning the whole thing by getting one of the hottest streaks I have seen in quite some time. In the finals round, he literally didn’t miss one time! It was great to see and very impressive. Athletic framed Long Snapper that is able to move well on his feet. His snap speeds were in the mid to low .7s at all times. The ball was ripping back to the punter. Locking down his spiral will make his ball even faster and easier to catch.

NORTH CENTRAL (North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa and Nebraska)

Barnes, Luke (SD)

Mueller, Jaden (IA)

Dengel, Gage (NE)

Klein, Devin (MN)

Miller, Conner (IA)

NORTHEAST (Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Vermont, New York, Connecticut and Rhode Island)

  Doughty, Sam (MA)

He is a very big and strong Long Snapper who displays great form and accuracy. He has shown improvement with a more consistent spiral, which is something he has focused on over the past few camps. This tighter spiral is the key to his greatness and will make his ball more catchable and help his ball cut through the air, leading to faster times. Has all the tools and upside to compete with the best in his class. The fall and spring on his senior year will be very important for him, and I can’t wait to see him this fall and at VEGAS XXXV in January. Really impressive summer for Doughty. Keep a very close eye on him.

O’Connor, Kyle (NH)

First off, he has a great frame and looks like a college tight-end. Strong Long Snapper with good starting form. Really powerful hands. Balance is good as he leans back really well. Need to see O’Connor work on eliminating his hitch to increase the overall speed of his ball. Right now, he winds up right when he starts the snapping motion and he definitely doesn’t need to do that since he is so big and strong. Almost uses all of his legs which is great. So much potential on O’Connor due to his size and overall strength…just need to see him use it all now as quickly as he can.

Ruckert, Will (NY)

Will is a good athlete with a lot of upside to him. Would love to see his snapping motion become more fluid and smooth. Working on slow motion snaps and flexibility will be big for him in the future. He has the attitude and approach to where he will put the time in to make sure he gets it right. Have a ton of faith that he will show a vast amount of improvement at his next camp, and I can’t wait  to see his progression!

Polay, Brendan (NY)

A big, strong Long Snapper who has a ton of potential and upside. Would like to see him work on his flexibility more, especially his hips and hamstrings, to allow him to get his upper body all the way through with his release. Continued work on his form will be key for him and I am excited to see his progress at the next Rubio Long Snapping camp!

ATLANTIC (Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Washington D.C., Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia)

Eimer, Bryce (NJ)

He is one of those Long Snappers that simply doesn’t have bad snap. You can watch him all day and all night and he simply doesn’t miss. Form is gorgeous and he snaps a really smooth ball. The bigger and stronger he gets, the more dominant he will be in college. Flat out stud of a Long Snapper.

 Foggia, Jake (NJ)

Extremely smooth Long Snapper that is one of the most accurate and consistent Long Snappers you will find in the country. As he continues to gain size and strength, he will become more and more ready for the college level. EXTREMELY hard working Long Snapper that is always improving. Foggia is going to be snapping very well at the next level and is going to be great pickup for a college coach.

Latore, TJ (NJ)

A very athletic and talented long snapper with great form and speed. He snaps his best when he gets fully set and follows all the way through; when he doesn’t do those two things the ball ends up low. When he takes his time and gets set and commits to finishing his snap, there is nobody he can’t compete with. Great personality and is very coachable.

Richards, Brandon (VA)

He has a tremendous attitude and is always improving. Starting form is excellent and his snapping motion is smooth and efficient. His eyes get through really well and his balance is great. Snaps well under pressure and hovers in the low .8s on a pretty consistent basis. The harder he snaps and the more confidence he snaps with, the better Richards will do. He is going to make his college coach really happy with his great attitude and coachability.

 McCauley, Declan (NJ)

Declan moves pretty darn well on his feet which is impressive because he is already looking like a college Long Snapper and he is only a sophomore. His snaps are one of the most catchable snaps of anyone in his class. For Declan, the biggest thing he needs to work on his simply to snap as absolutely hard as he possibly can. His form is excellent and he needs to trust it. The more Declan just lets the ball go, the faster his snaps will be and the more accurate they will be. It’s simple, Declan will be as good as he chooses to be and he could easily be great. Watch him. When it clicks, he could jump to five stars in no time.

Jordan, Grayson (VA)

First off, he has a great attitude and is a terrific listener. You tell Jordan something and just consider it absorbed. Moves well on his feet and can easily be a factor on the punt coverage team. Locking down his spiral will help ton to get the ball dying through the air a bit easier and make it easier to catch for the punter. Smooth Long Snapper that will is fully capable of snapping at the next level. Solid move up the rankings and I look forward to seeing him this fall and at VEGAS XXXV in January.

Peterson, Justin (VA)

He has a big body and is built well. Strong Long Snapper. Peterson snaps the ball with some good power and has the ability to explode back really well. Locking down his release point and always getting his eyes through will help a ton with accuracy. Great power that is able to be at the D1 level. Focusing on accuracy will push him into the D1 level on all accounts.

McCabe, Joe (PA)

He has really developed physically and has added a lot of muscle and mass. His ball is very powerful and quick back to the punter’s hands, with exceptional accuracy. When he does miss, it isn’t by much, however I would like to see him lock down that accuracy a bit more to where he never ever misses. When he does that he will be very competitive in his class and should show the capabilities of playing at the collegiate level.

Siragusa, Elio (NJ)

Elio is a strong, powerful snapper with a good build and athleticism for his size. His ball was accurate and quick all day, making it to one of the last standing in the speed competition. Huge upside for him and another strong performance at a fall camp and Vegas event will be huge for him to jump even more up the rankings!

Mason, Maxwell (VA)

His hands are very quick and the ball jumps out of the gate well. His starting form is solid and Maxwell is able to get some very solid pop from his lower half. Leaning back will increase his overall accuracy and not dragging the ball back will really put some more speed on the ball. Easy fixes for Maxwell and will pay off a ton in the fall and at VEGAS XXXV in January. I really liked his attitude.

SOUTHEAST (Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi and Florida)

Albright, Will (TN)

Incredibly athletic Long Snapper that is beyond quick with his snapping motion and has zero wasted movement. You see him get set up and ready then, BOOM, the ball is back to the punter right in The Rubio Zone. Kid is a machine and is beyond consistent. The Vols got a great one in Albright.

Zuhr, Jacob (FL)

Once again, Zuhr put on a show for the other Long Snappers and their families but just continuously hitting .65 during the speed competition. I actually stopped the competition at one point to have him just keep snapping perfect snap after snap. It is almost amazing to watch. He is an absolute no brainer for a spot on a college team. He can start right now, let alone in two years. ABSOLUTE NO BRAINER. Any college would be lucky to have him on their team.

Kirkpatrick, John (TN)

Incredible athlete that can pass an eyeball test from a quarter mile away. Ball is very fast and powerful. There is no doubt he can snap at the next level. He is such an athlete that he might be able to play two positions. Kid is a workhorse and his college coach is going to love him. Just a flat out beast that is going to be a great college Long Snapper.

Cox, Colby (GA)

Great frame and he can pass for a college Long Snapper right now. Ball is extremely fast and powerful back to the punter. Smooth Long Snapper that reaches back to the punter really well. Moved really well on his feet at The TOP 12 Camp and snapped with excellent confidence. I absolutely love the direction he is headed and he can easily snap at the next level.

Garfield, Colby (NC)

He has a very good frame and can pass an eyeball test quickly. Pure athlete that can easily be a factor on the punt coverage team. All around Long Snapper. He can rip the ball back to the punter and there is no doubt he will be able to snap the ball at the next level. Handles pressure really well. Snaps are smooth and on target. Garfield is great and could easily end up top ten in his class. Really impressive Long Snapper.

McCracken, Zane (GA)

He was inches away from earning an All-American spot in July. Very athletic Long Snapper that just continues to improve with each passing month. Thickening up very well and can pass for a college Long Snapper right now. Strong and moves well on his feet. He has all the tools to do extremely well at the next level. Tremendous attitude.

Triplett, Spencer (NC)

Massive human being that can pass an eyeball test from a football field away. Smooth Long Snapper that snaps a very catchable ball. Extremely strong Long Snapper. Ball is powerful and when he drives his elbows through, he can put a hole in the punter. Massive upside and Triplett is the type of Long Snapper (with the way he can snap and the way his body is) that can snap a ball for a very long time.

Long, William (GA)

He moves well on his feet and he can absolutely rip the ball back to the punter. When Will is on, his ball is like an absolute rocket back to the punter. His ball can dip into the .6s when he reaches all the way back. No doubt that Will can snap at the next level. College coaches need to keep a very close eye on Will this fall and at VEGAS XXXV in January.

Reid, Grant (TN)

He has very good size, works his tail off and has one of the best attitudes in the country. Nothing stops this kid and his overall drive. Snaps are very smooth and powerful. Quick hands that allow the ball to jump out of the gate quickly. He was inches away from earning an All-American spot in July. Great Long Snapper and even better person.

Bowman, Jake (TN)

His consistency was solid throughout the summer. Strong and athletic Long Snapper. Absolutely love when he snaps as hard as he can easily snap at the next level. Very physically strong Long Snapper with a great body. Built really well and he can move like a pure athlete on his feet. His starting form is excellent and he is improving as quickly as anyone in the country. Drives his upper body through really well and I love when his eyes drive through like a champ. Easily headed towards snapping at the next level. Hard working Long Snapper that will make his college coach really happy.

Recap of the NJ Fall Camp (10/14/18)

Rubio Long Snapping traveled to NJ on October 14th, 2018 for their fall camp. Rubio Long Snapping will be traveling around the country this fall with stops in NC, NJ, WA, CA, TX, GA, AZ, IL with everything leading into the biggest and best Long Snapping event in the world, VEGAS XXXIII in January!

Long Snappers from MA, NC, NJ, NY, ON, PA, TX & VA all traveled to this camp to get the best instruction and exposure in the world of Long Snapping.  Senior Rubio Long Snapping instructor, Corey Adams, lead the camp and had a tremendous group of  Long Snappers and parents.

The Champion of the camp was Joe Shimko! Joe is an absolute machine and tremendous talent that showed his dominance all day. The Army All American and North Carolina State commit was BOTH the overall and speed champion for the astonishing FIFTH time in his Rubio Long Snapping career! I look for Joe to continue this dominance into North Carolina State and beyond!

The finals matchups were between Brian McNamara (43.37), Joe Shimko (29.63), Evan Davis (26.97), Zack Taylor (18.75), Chase Donahue (18.00) and Doug Sabol (15.00) You can see the full finals video below…

Top 2019 Long Snappers

Joe Shimko

Joe Shimko was amazing from start to finish and left zero doubt why he is one of the top Long Snapping athletes in the country, and in recent years. He easily passes the eye ball test and could step foot on the field right now and play in college. His snaps are fast, accurate, and could rip a hole in whoever is catching it. Expect continued domination from him for the rest of his career.

John Morton is a snapper who continues to put in work between camps and it is evident in his improvement. He is carrying his weight very well and has solid form for a man of his size. When he is on he can compete with the best in his class.

Evan Davis always impresses with the accuracy and power he possesses. The Buffalo commit hardly missed all day, and when he did they were still exceptional snaps. Should transition well into college and make an impact in the near term!

Brian McNamara

Brian McNamara impressed all day and can throw heat back to the punter with great accuracy and consistency. On top of his snapping ability, his athleticism separated himself from the other athletes at the camp. Had an amazing all-around day.

Brady Spafford is a very athletic and powerful long snapper with a ton of potential. He showed the ability to throw darts back to the punter and holder. Brady has a very high ceiling and is oozing with potential.

Chase Donahue is a tall snapper with a great frame that can put on a lot of weight with no problem. When he is on, he throws a very catchable and accurate ball, which propelled him to the finals.

Demetrick Ray is a powerful snapper that shows flashes of greatness. Has the desire to be great and will continue to work at his craft.

Top 2020 Long Snappers

Bryce Eimer

Bryce Eimer had a great performance from beginning to end. The long time Rubio Long Snapper displayed what all the years of work can lead up to as he was snapping extremely accurate, quick and catchable balls all day. On top of this, he is a great athlete with a frame that can easily carry more weight and fill out over the coming years.

Jake Foggia

Jake Foggia is another long time Rubio Long Snapper who continues to improve between every camp. He performed at a very high level throughout the day, snapping extremely accurate and quick balls. Continues to put on good weight and develop into an athlete.

Sam Doughty is a very powerful and well-built Long Snapper who showed flashes of brilliance throughout the day. His legs look like he can squat 1,000 lbs and he carries the rest of his weight very well in his upper body. With continued refining of his craft he has the ability to be exceptional.

TJ Latore was a snapper who you could see slowly put together things throughout the day and improved noticeably from the first snap to the last. Great kid with a fantastic attitude along with great athletic ability. Investing in the small details will be big for him, but once he does it will take him to a whole different tier of talent.

Brandon Richards had a great day showing lots of promise in his ability and growth. He snaps a very accurate and consistent ball, and with his continued work will add speed to his snap which will make him competitive with the upper echelon of his class.

Andy Lan was full health at this camp and it really showed. His form continues to become picture perfect and his accuracy is by far his strength. Great athlete who showed a lot of upside in the agility portion of the camp. Amazing attitude and eagerness to learn and reach the next level.

Joseph Santora showed a lot of upside throughout the camp. Big snapper with a great frame. Throws an accurate and catchable ball.

Top 2021 Snappers

Zack Taylor

Zack Taylor continues to dominate the North East camps. The long time Rubio Long Snapper has picture perfect form and continues to grow into his body and develop strength. Can easily be better than his brother, Billy, who starts for Rutgers. Vegas will be HUGE for him this year and showing how he stacks up against the rest of his class.

Patrick Coyle

Patrick Coyle had a fantastic day throughout the whole camp. Big snapper who will continue to develop with both his form and size. Snaps a very catchable and accurate ball and has a ton of potential to compete amongst the top of his class.

Andrew Pudleiner is a very talented yet raw Long Snapper. He showed amazing ability from the start of camp, and through drill work and instruction he was beginning to put it all together. There were some growing pains as he was trying to incorporate new form and teachings; my biggest takeaway from this was his coachability and perseverance as he was continuing to work through the ups and downs.

Brian Catanzarite had a great camp and showed great improvement from his last. He is developing into a quality snapper, throwing very catchable, consistent and accurate balls. Great attitude and eager to learn.

Caleb Hoffman is a young snapper with amazing size and frame that he can grow and develop and become an absolute machine. His legs are so long he is having a hard time locking them out right now, but once he does his ball will fly back to the punter. His accuracy is good, and as his form continues to improve he will be a force to deal with.

Ryan Legere improved drastically from the start of the camp to the finish. A very eager learner who soaked everything up like a sponge. Snaps a good ball with solid accuracy, and with continued work at the drills and form taught he will see his talents jump to another level.

Top 2022 Snappers

Logan Rager

Logan Rager is a very talented and confident young Long Snapper who excelled all day. His form is fantastic and allows him to be extremely consistent with a quick ball and tight spiral. Has the opportunity to be one of the top Long Snappers in his class for a long period of time!

Rino Monteforte

Rino Monteforte is a very passionate and coachable Long Snapper and cares very much about his craft. Even at his young of age, his form is beyond his years. As he continues to grow into his body and develop more strength and flexibility he will be a top tier snapper for the class of 2022.

Sean O’Hara was fully healthy this camp and it showed in his snapping. All day he was snapping very catchable and consistent balls with great spirals and speed. His form improved throughout the day and with continued work has the chance to be one of the top snappers in his class.

Joseph Taikina showed flashes of greatness during the NJ camp. He has a fantastic frame and size for his age, with legs that are a mile long. Once he is able to get his form in sync and get full use out of his body, his speed and accuracy will skyrocket and he will be a force to be reckoned with.

Doug Sabol had a great day putting his snapping ability on display. Still growing into his frame and developing strength, but his spiral and accuracy were very impressive. Extremely coachable and eager to learn. I know he will take everything from the camp home and perfect his craft.

Zach Hirshon improved a great amount throughout the day. His eagerness to learn and coachability makes working with him extremely enjoyable. His snaps showed flashes of great accuracy and consistency, and once he is able to put it all together through additional work he will see very quick and drastic improvement.

Dale Stringfellow is a strong, young Long Snapper who improved a great amount through the day. He took the coaching he was receiving on the field and was applying it real time to his form and snapping motion. He has all the tools and abilities to be great, just needs a little time and drill work to perfect his craft.

Recap of the CA Summer Camp (6/28/18)

Samarzich, Rubio and Hawkins

Rubio Long Snapping traveled to CA on June 28th, 2018 for their summer camp. Rubio Long Snapping will be traveling around the country this spring with stops in CA, NC, GA, IL, SC (Top Gun Camp), CA (College, TOP 12, Underclassmen Invitational) and TX!

Long Snappers from three states all traveled to this camp to get the best instruction and exposure in the world of Long Snapping. The camp was a great time had by all with an excellent group of Long Snappers and parents.

The champions of the camp were Kameron Hawkins (speed) and Simon Samarzich (overall)! Samarzich has recently committed to Washington State on full scholarship and he proved in CA that the Cougs got a great one. He is one of the most consistent Long Snappers ever to go through Rubio Long Snapping. Ball hovers in the low .7s at all times, he can move well on his feet and he has, easily, one of the greatest attitudes of all Rubio Long Snappers in the country. Samarzich is the real deal and just never stops improving.

The finals round matchups were Simon Samarzich (57.14), Cruz Rubio (41.56), Bryce Felt (41.03), Andrew Gonneville (38.82), Jack Landherr (34.21) and Aaron Estrada (33.33). You can see the full finals video below….

TOP 2019 LONG SNAPPERS

Simon Samarzich was a machine all day in CA. The WSU Cougars got a great one on and off the field. This kid has the ability to be successful in whatever he chooses to do in life.

Peter Bowden was on fire all day and has already been moved to a 5 Star Rubio Long Snapper. Kid is a flat out stud and can snap at the next level right now.

Jack Landherr throws severe heat and simply never misses when he gets his eyes all the way through to the punter. Tremendous talent and upside.

JJ Lindsay is a very smooth lefty that is always improving. Massive potential and I love his work ethic.

Andrew Gonneville has massive upside, snaps a powerful ball and has a great frame.

Anthony Rosenstrauch might have the most upside of anyone in his class. Reaches back like a champ and snaps with amazing power. Raw.

Danny Dixon has one of the best attitudes in his class and has solid power.

Nathan Hedberg is strong and a tremendous athlete.

Nathan Newkirk is a massive human being with tons of power. Ironing out his form is going to make this kid unstoppable.

NOTABLES: Aidan Rosette and Steven Scheite

TOP 2020 LONG SNAPPERS

Kameron Hawkins

Kameron Hawkins continues his dominance and was the fastest overall Long Snapper with times that reached into the high .6s. Form is exceptional and the ball can crush a punter. Hard worker that never stops improving.

Cruz Rubio was absolutely on fire all day. Strong Long Snapper with very good feet. Snaps the ball with good speed and even earned a WILD CARD spot to The TOP 12 Camp!

Bryce Felt has been only snapping for 11 months and he is already a seasoned vet. Rips the ball back consistently under .80 and doesn’t show signs of slowing down.

Aaron Estrada had a great camp with consistent and accurate snaps that got better as the day continued.

Davis Salom is a massive and powerful human being that can absolutely rip the ball to the punter. Excellent speed and almost won the competition.

Michael Munoz has all the tools to be one of the greats in his class and beyond.

Cody White was snapping massive heat all day and was gaining confidence every hour. He looked great in CA.

Tony Villarreal is big, strong and snaps with excellent power. Right on the cusp of greatness.

Michael Tokos has very quick hands and is improving by the second.

AJ Laux was very solid and extremely large. When his spiral is on, he is tremendous.

Troy Sicaeros is smooth and accurate with a great attitude.

NOTABLES: Nathan Hall, Mitch Carmer, Mason Hutton

NOTABLES: Trent Dyer

Rubio Long Snapping has become…

Rubio Long Snapping has grown immensely over the past 16 years….

Rubio Long Snapping has gone from having barely double digit Long Snappers at a Vegas Event to double digits plus 300 at the same Vegas Event.

Rubio Long Snapping has gone from 1 lesson per every other month to continuous lessons all over the country, Virtual Lessons and lessons with NFL Long Snappers (that have been with Rubio Long Snapping since the beginning)

Rubio Long Snapping has gone from a couple Long Snappers going to college, to over 350 in the past three years alone, and to over 1,000 in college and/or the NFL!

Rubio Long Snapping has gone from not being able to fill the TOP 12 Camp, to having so much talent at one, a simple video of kids with offers could take over a minute.

Rubio Long Snapping method of training and exposure has been so productive that it has literally made history in programs.

Rubio Long Snapping has created testing and rankings that are beyond fair to showcase a Long Snapper’s true talent level. If a Long Snapper can show up and dominate, they are at the top. If they don’t, they aren’t. Rankings are based on snapping and talent. Come to one camp or come to fifty, it doesn’t impact your rankings unless you prove yourself…you either have it, get it and show it or you don’t.

Rubio Long Snapping is proven, it’s impact is overwhelming and it’s actual results are simply incredible.

Rubio Long Snapping is not a place for research or experiments, where measurement may be performed with possible results.

Rubio Long Snapping is a producer. It produces polished, glorious, exceptional final products.

Rubio Long Snapping produces polished Long Snappers that produce on and off the field.

Rubio Long Snapping produces a family atmosphere where people from all over the country compete with one another but still, in the end, want the best for each other’s children.

Rubio Long Snapping produces countless, and I mean countless, testimonials from parents, coaches and Long Snappers.

There is no trial and error with possible results from Rubio Long Snapping. There is only production.

Rubio Long Snapping has become a FACTORY that simply produces greatness and results.

You Are Who You Want to Be….

Just put this on Twitter and couldn’t help but elaborate….

At some point, an average Long Snapper becomes a great one when they realize they can be as good as THEY want to be. You control yourself.

No matter how physically gifted you are, without the proper form and work ethic, you will never advance to the next level. No matter what level that may be.

Form is one thing. Having a solid attitude and believing you can do it makes you a complete package. Too many times I have seen a good Long Snapper stay just that….a good Long Snapper. Why did they not advance? Either they did not have the drive (working on form, drills, etc) or they did not believe they could do it. Coach bringing you down, parents not supportive, you are tired….suck it up. Get off your butt and MAKE YOURSELF the best. Make it happen. Stop making excuses. Do it. Done.

The great ones know they are great. Splash of cockiness in the Long Snapping world is accepted by me WHEN you can back it up and know how to toe the line. Are you hiding from a challenge (lessons, camps, events) or are you sticking your chest simply waiting for the next person/victim?

The great Long Snappers realize their potential, see it, grabs it and runs, no sprints, with it. Is that you?

VEGAS XXIX RSI Scores

Here, in alphabetical order, are the RSI scores from VEGAS XXIX! The top 12 scorers (found in bold below) advanced to the finals.

All Long Snappers were tested on The Rubio Target. Each Long Snapper was tested on 12 punt snaps where they had three normal snaps, three blocking left, three blocking right, three speed punt snaps (running in from the side and have three seconds to get the ball off once their feet are set) and 12 pat snaps where they had three normal snaps, three blocking left, three blocking right, three speed punt snaps (running in from the side and have three seconds to get the ball off once their feet are set). Once the Long Snapper has completed the test, they earn an RSI which is the fairest and most accurate way to judge a Long Snapper by numbers. Please note: the RSI does not account for athleticism, spiral or mentality.

RSI (Rubio Standard Index): The RSI is the score divided by the average speed on The Rubio Target. You may obtain 2 bonus points for an average of .75-.79, 2 more bonus points for an average of .70-.74 and an additional 2 more bonus points if you average below .70.

Finalists for The Chris Rubio Award!

Here are your finalists, in alphabetical order, for The Chris Rubio Award…

Thomas Fletcher, FL, 2017, Committed to Alabama – Fletcher is a two-time winner of a Rubio Long Snapping Vegas Event.  Fletcher is an incredibly smooth Long Snapper with exceptional form and no wasted movement. Fletcher had offers from Alabama, Florida State, Oregon, Texas A&M, Portland State and Memphis. Fletcher is an Army All-American.

Kyle Gibbs, CA, 2017, Committed to Navy  – Gibbs is an extremely solid athlete with quick hands that has no problem getting downfield on punt coverage. He played for a Norco in CA and started on Varsity for three years. Dedicated Long Snapper that is always improving. Gibbs had offers from Air Force, Navy and West Point. Gibbs missed being an Army All-American by a 1/4 of an inch.

Mitch Hall, NC, 2017, Committed to Louisville  – Hall is one of the smoothest Long Snappers in the country with flawless form and a great attitude. He played for Clayton HS in NC and started on Varsity for three years. Always a crowd favorite with his intense and precise snaps to go along with his beaming smile. Hall is an Army All-American

CONGRATULATIONS to these three fine young men! They deserve it.

Now is when it will really get intense. Each finalist is now required to provide the following.

  • No more than a 90 second updated highlight tape that shows great snap, incredible athleticism and possibly the Long Snapper speaking or even a coach/reporter speaking on the Long Snapper as well.  (on YouTube with the title of NAME, CHRIS RUBIO AWARD, 2016)
  • Three letters of recommendation (scanned and emailed to Rubio@RubioLongSnapping.com) from a current coach, a current teacher and a reporter that covers their area explaining why the Long Snapper deserves to win this prestigious award (that is THREE total letters).

All information must be sent to Rubio@RubioLongSnapping.com by 10 pm pst on Friday, December 23rd.

The winner will be selected by the Awards Committee and presented with the trophy on Friday, January 13th at 7:00 pm at the Suncoast Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, NV.

The Chris Rubio Award is presented, on an annual basis, to the best national high school Long Snapper for that given season. Past winners include Scott Daly of Notre Dame (2011), Cole Mazza of Alabama (2012) and Blake Ferguson (TWO time winner) of LSU.

Chris Rubio played high school football for Charter Oak High School in California from 1989-1992.  He was part of team that won the league championship in 1992 serving as the teams Long Snapper and left tackle.  He was voted Center of the Century in the San Gabriel Valley.  His long snapping ability earned him a spot on the UCLA football team where he was a 3-year starter at Long Snapper for three All-Americans.

The National Long Snapper of the Year is named in honor of Chris Rubio for his outstanding high school career and nearly single handedly changing the world of long snapping.  Chris is now the most prominent private long snapping coach in America.  He has made the position of long snapping a specialty and revered around the country through his website, as well as camps.  Through his training and development of young long snappers, dozens of high school long snapping specialists now receive full ride scholarships each year for their skill in that position.

Top 2017 Long Snappers by Region

Here is a look at the TOP 2017 Long Snapper in each region of the country.

NORTHWEST (States of Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Alaska)
Matt Baldeck, ID
Baldeck did really well at the Rubio Long Snapping fall camp in WA on October 23, 2016. He is easily one of the most powerful Long Snappers in the country. His snaps almost punish the punter when they get to him. Not uncommon for him to be in the low .7s to high .6s. Form is very good and he is using his whole body really well. Body is thick and his frame is solid. Baldeck is always improving and his athleticism is moving forward. Plays on the top team in Idaho so he is used to handling pressure. Going to be a solid pick up for a college in the next couple of months.

Eli Jenkins, WA
Eli showed me some good things at the Rubio Long Snapping summer camp in CA on August 31, 2016. He is a strong Long Snapper and his body is definitely maturing and turning into a college frame. It is really simple with Eli…the harder he snaps, the better he does. His form is very good and he really needs to trust it by just letting the ball fly out of his hands. If he can do that, he will move way up the rankings. CONFIDENCE will be key with Eli. Good attitude and listens well. Smart Long Snapper.

Jake Gibson, OR
Gibson did really well at the Rubio Long Snapping VEGAS XXVIII Event on May 21-22, 2016. He is one of the smoothest Long Snappers in his class and is like a machine when he snaps the ball. Uses his body well and has great form. The bigger and stronger he gets, the better he will be. Form is so good that he just needs to trust it and never stop. Excellent person and Long Snapper.

Zachary England, WA
Zach did well at the Rubio Long Snapping VEGAS XXVIII Event on May 21-22, 2016. He is built strong with some decent feet on him. Love to see him snap AND move with the utmost confidence. Trust in his own self will help a ton in the long run. His hands are VERY quick and he does a great job of getting the ball out of the gate. Need to see him make sure he gets his hands locked on the ball before he snaps it so the spiral is there with each snap. He is so quick that he can almost jump his own gun. Very good potential.

Dan Cantrell, ID
Cantrell is a very athletic Long Snapper that was really impressive at the Rubio Long Snapping VEGAS XXVII Event on January 21-22, 2016. Kid can move down field and shows good aggression. He has good power on his snaps and his accuracy is solid. Love to see him lock down the spiral and make sure he gets his lower half fully involved to gain more speed and fluidity on the ball. TONS and TONS of upside. Could be the type of player that plays two positions in college.

Luke Miller, WA
Luke did well at the Rubio Long Snapping VEGAS XXVIII Event on May 21-22, 2016. He is long athlete that moves well on his feet. True mover down field and will be a factor on punt coverage. Love to see him narrow down his stance just a tad just to increase the overall use of his legs which will give much more speed on the ball. If he can get to average under .8 by XXIX, he will move WAY up the rankings. TONS of potential on this athletic Long Snapper.

Cody Schwindt, WA
Cody showed me some good things at the Rubio Long Snapping spring camp in WA on April 24, 2016. He is a very long athlete that moves really well on his feet. Very raw talent with big upside. Form is very good and he is close to using all of his legs at all times. Love his attitude. Need to see him put on some weight and snap with full power at all times. Consistency will be key as we head into VEGAS XXVIII and beyond.

Cody Clements, WA
Cody showed me some good things at the Rubio Long Snapping fall camp in WA on October 23, 2016. Body is very thick and he has good form and power. Love to see him snap with CONFIDENCE and really let the ball fly out of his hands. Needs to move back to 25-30 yards when snapping at home to see how strong he is. Cody is absolutely dripping with potential and can be one of the best in his class.I know it and I need him to know it. Increasing his athleticism by VEGAS XXIX will help a ton in rankings. Kid can do it.

Derek Smith, WA
Liked what I saw out of Derek at the Rubio Long Snapping VEGAS XXVIII Event on May 21-22, 2016. He has a good frame and is built well. Form is solid and he is using all of his body during the snapping motion really well. Athletically, he moves quickly but I would like to see him get a little more control of his body. During the snapping motion, if he can lock down his release point and snap the ball with FULL power at all times, he will definitely increase his speed to get under .8 and knock out his accuracy. GOOD potential.

Calvin Maher, WA
Calvin showed me some good things at the Rubio Long Snapping spring camp in WA on April 24, 2016. He is built very long with a frame that can easily put on some good weight in one year before college. Starting form is very good and he does a solid job of getting all the way through with his upper body. Slow motion drills to get his lower half fully involved will help a ton in gaining speed and consistency. Not thinking so much will help as well. Good potential.

Zack Jenkins, WA
Zack did well at the Rubio Long Snapping spring camp in WA on April 24, 2016. He has a very good follow through and has the ability to hit some snaps in the .7s….at times. Need to focus on having consistent form so all of his snaps are the same. Getting his lower half fully involved will greatly increase the speed of his ball. Excellent athletic ability. Tons of potential and I liked what I saw out of him in WA.

PACIFIC (California, Nevada, Arizona and Hawaii)
Kyle Gibbs, CA, Committed to the Naval Academy!
OFFER HIM NOW!!! Gibbs had VERY good showings at the FBU TOP GUN camp and at the Rubio Long Snapping TOP 12 & EVENT ELITE Camp at the IMG Academy in FL in July, 2016. Body is solid and he can rip the ball back to the punter. Missed being an Army All-American by about a 1/4 of an inch at best. Moves well on his feet and is really finding his groove out on the field. The more he can dominate pressure situations and not overgrip or oversnap the ball, the better he will be. Definitely headed in the right direction when he is snapping the ball and looks to only get better over the next year as he moves towards the college level.

Noah Rodriguez-Trammell, CA, Offer from Colorado State!
Noah had a solid couple days at the TOP 12 & EVENT ELITE Camp at the IMG Academy in FL. He can pass an eyeball test quickly and moves pretty darn well on his feet for a man of his size. Extremely smooth PATs and his punts are like a machine…same snap every single time. Love to see him make his hands just a tad quicker and have no wasted movement at the start of the snap. VERY close to being a 5 Star Rubio Long Snapper. He is the type of Long Snapper that can just get better and better throughout college….definitely has not hit his peak yet and he is already excellent.

Alex Michaelsen, CA, Offer from Army!
Michaelsen did very well at the TOP 12 & EVENT ELITE Camp at the IMG Academy in FL. He shows good athleticism on his feet and has the ability to be a factor in punt coverage. Ball is smooth and when he lets it fly out of his hands, he dominates and can get in the low .7s. Confidence will be big for him moving farther up the charts. Time for Michaelsen to KNOW he is one of the best in the country instead of HOPING he is. Keep a very close eye on this Long Snapper this fall and at VEGAS XXIX in January.

Harrison Hoffman, CA
Harrison did really well at the Rubio Long Snapping summer camp in CA on July 31, 2016. He is a very long athlete with room to easily put on about forty pounds over the next couple of years. Coming back after a year at Air Force and he is ready to go now. Ball is smooth and he does a great job in reaching all the way back to the punter. Needs to work on getting his lower half fully involved to gain more speed on the ball. Love to see him below .79 at all times by VEGAS XXIX. Hard worker and just an all-around great kid.

Jonathan Goldstein, CA
Goldstein did really well at the Rubio Long Snapping summer camp in CA on July 31, 2016. He is a long athlete with a frame that can put on about forty pounds over the next couple of years with the right condition coach. His snapping motion is smooth and he really gets some good speed on the ball. His snaps will be even faster once the spiral is locked down on each and every snap. Adjusting non-dominant hand will help this process. Very good upside. Size will be a major key in moving up the rankings.

Karson Thomas, NV, Committed to Nevada!
Karson did really well at the Rubio Long Snapping summer camp in CA on July 31, 2016. He has an excellent frame and can pass an eyeball test right now. Definitely looks the part of a college athlete. Needs to make sure he is snapping at full power at all times. Ball can be in the low .7s and I want to see it down there with each and every snap. FULL CONFIDENCE in his form and snapping motion will be in moving up the rankings. Kid is absolutely dripping with potential. Major upside.

Jeff Hansen, CA
Hansen did really well at the Rubio Long Snapping summer camp in CA on July 31, 2016. He is a very smooth Long Snapper with good balance and a nice snapping motion. His hands are quick and he is very accurate. I would feel pretty darn comfortable in him playing in a college game right now. It will be interesting to see how he handles the pressure of VEGAS XXIX but I have a feeling it won’t disturb him at all. Like to see him work on his athleticism and focus on snapping with full power at all times. Hansen is very solid.

Peter Snodgrass, CA
Snodgrass did well at the Rubio Long Snapping summer camp in CA on July 31, 2016. He is one of those Long Snappers that is is right on the cusp of greatness and once it all clicks (hint: it will be soon), he will absolutely dominate. I have seen him snap a major D1 ball at times, but I need to see it ALL of the time. Like to see him focus on just smoothing out everything and making sure every snap is the same. CONSISTENCY of dominance is the big thing. Making sure his butt is down, making sure his hands follow through the proper way, making sure his spiral is locked down. This kid is CLOSE.

Zac Grant, NV
Zac did really well at the Rubio Long Snapping VEGAS XXVIII Event on May 21-22, 2016. He is large man with good power and I like his athletic ability. Big man and he moves well for his size. Love to see him narrow down his stance a bit to create more overall speed on the ball and make sure he is not running and/or moving too high so it will be easy for him to cut and break down. Ball is smooth and he has a ton of potential. Consistency is going to be the key for him moving up the charts. I am very interested to see him in the fall and at VEGAS XXIX.

Koltin Anderson, CA
I liked what I saw out of Koltin at the Rubio Long Snapping summer camp in CA on July 31, 2016. Big and strong Long Snapper with a great work ethic and attitude. Coaches dream in college. Eyes and head getting through smoothly every single time will be key in him moving forward as that will really increase his overall speed and accuracy.

ROCKY MOUNTAIN (Montana, Wyoming, Utah and Colorado)
Devin Noth, CO
Noth showed me some great things at the TOP 12 & EVENT ELITE Camp at the IMG Academy in FL. VERY athletic Long Snapper that will definitely be a factor heading downfield on punts. Punt returns will have to keep an eye on him at all times he is on the field. Ball is crisp and his hands are quick. Once his butt gets down just a tad more and his back becomes parallel to the ground, he will move even farther up the rankings as he will greatly increase his speed and accuracy.

Caleb Lawver, UT
I was VERY impressed with Lawver at the Rubio Long Snapping VEGAS XXVIII Event on May 21-22, 2016. He is a smooth Long Snapper with great accuracy and consistency. Moves well on his feet. Locking down his overall accuracy by his release point will get him into the 30’s on the Target. Literally, wouldn’t surprise me to see him when VEGAS in January. The more athletic he gets, the higher he goes up the rankings. VERY good attitude.

Steven Green, CO
Steven showed me some good things at the Rubio Long Snapping VEGAS XXVIII Event on May 21-22, 2016. He is a strong Long Snapper with good starting form and powerful hands. Love to see him slow it down so he can lock down the snapping motion. Built well so if he can get his lower half fully involved, he will create a lot of speed on the ball. Legs fully locked will help a ton to get him under .8 for a punt snap. Making sure he does lay down drills to ensure a very tight spiral will help with speed and catchability as well.

SOUTHWEST (New Mexico and Texas)
Jake Pagel, TX
Pagel showed me some good things at the FBU TOP GUN camp and at the Rubio Long Snapping TOP 12 & EVENT ELITE Camp at the IMG Academy in FL in July, 2016. He is a thick Long Snapper with very quick hands that can really get the ball moving back to the punter. When he is on, he is REALLY on and has a ball that is as quick as any Long Snapper in the country. Like to see him focus on making sure he is always leaning back to maintain more accuracy and that he really locks down snapping under pressure. The kid has great upside and could be one of the greats in college with simple fixes. Solid attitude that will do well in college.

Justin Hathoot, NM
Hathoot looked VERY solid at the Rubio Long Snapping summer camp in CA on August 31, 2016. He is an athletic Long Snapper that is a true factor in punt coverage. Body frame is good and he has room to put on some good size over the next couple of years. Needs to make sure he locks down his release point to really focus on accuracy and making sure he is hitting the target. Ball is coming out hot and he has good speed. Locking down the location will move him up to a 4.5 and even 5 Star Rubio Long Snapper. Keep a very close eye on Hathoot at VEGAS XXIX.

Caleb Cantrell, TX
Nice jump in the rankings and very well deserved after what I saw at the Rubio Long Snapping summer camp in TX on July 7, 2016. Body is athletic and his form is solid. Does a really nice job of using his whole body well and getting his speed locked down. Not uncommon to see him snapping in the low .7s. VERY quick hands and the ball continues to rise to the punter. Putting on some size and making sure he is getting all the way up a bit quicker will help out a ton. KEEP A VERY CLOSE EYE ON THIS KID AT VEGAS XXIX!

Jarrod Jacobson, TX
Jarrod showed me some good things at the Rubio Long Snapping summer camp in TX on July 7, 2016. He has a good frame and an excellent attitude. Tell him to do something and just consider it done. Hands are quick and he is always improving. Snapping with full confidence and making sure his head gets all the way through with each snap will help his speed get into the low .7s and even high .6s. Form is good and he needs to trust it. Good upside. Coaches will love him in college.

Chris Clore, TX
Clore showed me some good things at the Rubio Long Snapping summer camp in GA on July 12, 2016. He continues to work on his body and he is looking more and more like a D1 athlete all of the time. Incredible transformation of his overall frame and I am very proud of him for it. Times are right in the .7s over the summer which is a very good improvement since VEGAS XXVIII in May. Kid has been working hard and smart, and it is obvious. Love to see him focus on making sure he is really whipping his elbows through so he creates more whip on the ball and is not so rigid. Improving athleticism will be another key in moving up. Great attitude.

Noah Caldwell, TX, Offer from South Eastern OK. State!
Noah showed me some good things at the Rubio Long Snapping summer camp in TX on July 7, 2016. He is a strong Long Snapper with a frame that can grow and dominate in the next couple of years. Ball is smooth and he has some very quick hands. Needs to make sure he gets fully set before he snaps in two ways: with his left hand on the ball (this will help with any spiral issues) and also with his butt getting all the way down (this will help with accuracy and speed). Love his working man’s attitude and I know he can do well in college.

Steven Taylor, TX
Steven showed me some good things at the Rubio Long Snapping summer camp in TX on July 7, 2016. He is getting bigger and stronger every time I see him and you can definitely tell he has been working on the side with a Rubio instructor. Form is coming along nicely. Love to see him focus on a couple things: not dragging the ball at all, making sure his balance is back and not rocking into the snapping motion. At times, he basically slowly moves into the initial snap motion and that will alert the timer, and, more importantly, the defender when he is about to snap. Needs to make sure that once he is ready, he EXPLODES! out of the gate so he is quicker. Always improving.

Caleb McKee, TX
Caleb showed me some good things at the Rubio Long Snapping VEGAS XXVIII Event on May 21-22, 2016. He is an athletic Long Snapper with VERY quick hands. The ball really jumps out of the gate well. So quick that I would actually like to him to make sure he gets fully set before starting the snapping motion so he gets a good grip (and spiral) on the ball. If he can get his lower half fully involved, he will absolutely crush the competition. I really think getting fully set and following through with his fingers will increase his overall accuracy. Excellent potential. Watch him this summer in TX and at VEGAS XXIX.

Ethan Zenzen, TX
Massive jump in the rankings and well deserved after what I saw at the Rubio Long Snapping fall camp in TX. Good frame and moves well on his feet. Athletic. Form has improved immensely and he is getting some decent pop on the ball. Needs to make sure he locks down his release to gain more accuracy. LOTS of upside. Great attitude.

George Rios, TX
George did well at the Rubio Long Snapping VEGAS XXVIII Event on January 21-22, 2016. He moves well on his feet and gets his upper body through really well when he is snapping punts. Practically hands the ball to the punter. Love to see him not think so much prior to the snap and focus on getting his lower half fully involved to gain more speed on the ball. Upper body is solid and when his lower body catches up, he will dominate.

NORTH CENTRAL (North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa and Nebraska)
Trevor Dhabalt, IA
Dhabalt did well at the TOP 12 & EVENT ELITE Camp at the IMG Academy in FL. He is a strong and stocky Long Snapper who can, at times, easily have the fastest snap in the country. He gets set, looks at you and then BOOM! the ball is in the punter’s hands. It is almost intimidating at first. Hands are so quick, it can be hard to time him. Once he gets his form fully settled in and has the same snapping motion over and over, he will lock down his accuracy/consistency and then he is unstoppable. Moves really well on his feet and is a factor on punt coverage. Quiet and solid.

Kobe Paez, NE, Committed to Chadron State!
Kobe showed me some good things at the TOP 12 & EVENT ELITE Camp at the IMG Academy in FL. He is a very athletic Long Snapper that can really fly down the field on punt coverage. Form is good and he has the ability to get some good speed on the ball. Like to see him focus on really driving his elbows more to create more whip and speed on the ball. Also, making sure he has the same form and snapping motion on every single snap will allow him to be much more consistent with his snaps. Very close to getting “it”.

Ryan Langan, NE
Ryan did VERY well at the Rubio Long Snapping fall camp in IL on September 25, 2016. Took him a while to catch his groove in IL, but, once he did, WATCH OUT! Easily could have won the whole camp and would’ve looked great doing it. Form is solid and he is snapping a nice, hard ball back to the punter. Ryan has INCREDIBLE upside and reminds me a lot of Rubio Long Snapper Wesley Farnsworth of Nevada. True athlete that can snap. CONSISTENCY will be the key to him getting to a 5 Star Rubio Long Snapper. KEEP A VERY CLOSE EYE ON HIM AT VEGAS XXIX.

Kyle Eckelberg, WI
Kyle showed me some great things at the Rubio Long Snapping fall camp in IL on September 25, 2016. Frame is solid and he uses his whole body really well. His hands are quick and he gets the ball out of the gate with no hesitation. Love to see him focus on getting his eyes through to improve his speed a bit and make sure he gets back up quicker after the snap. Blocking and being able to stop a D1 player getting through the A gap will be huge for him. GREAT upside and he should be able to show it at VEGAS XXIX.

David Bryan, WI
David did well at the Rubio Long Snapping summer camp in CA. He has a good frame and shows good athleticism. Very strong upper body really gets the ball back to the punter quickly. Needs to focus on making sure he gets his head AND eyes through for more accuracy and consistency. Right on the cusp of greatness and I am interested to see his progress at VEGAS XXVII.

SOUTH CENTRAL (Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana)
Drew Wise, KS
Wise was on fire at the Rubio Long Snapping fall camp in IL on September 25, 2016. Body is VERY solid and he can pass an eyeball test from a college coach quickly. Wise’s snaps can be VERY quick and really punish the punter. He definitely goes with the notion of snapping the ball THROUGH the punter. Like to see him focus on making sure he is not overthinking the process and keeps his hands steady on the ball. I would be absolutely shocked if he isn’t a 5 Star Rubio Long Snapper BEFORE VEGAS XXIX. He is good and knocking on greatnesses door.

Benji Gormley, MO
Benji looked excellent at the Rubio Long Snapping summer camp in IL on July 9, 2016. He has grown a good deal and is snapping with a ton of confidence. Loved watching him snap in IL with a swagger. It was almost like he was shocked he didn’t win the whole thing. The bigger he gets, the better he will be in the long run. Kid is looking good and could/should dominate XXIX in January! WATCH THIS LONG SNAPPER.

Reid Williams, MO
Reid did really well at the Rubio Long Snapping summer camp in IL on July 9, 2016. He has a thick frame and strong hands. Form is good and he showed me some good speed in IL. Love to see him not tap the ball prior to the snap as he is creating a patter which we don’t want or need. Also, making sure he is snapping with full power at all times will allow him to NEVER have a snap in the .8s again. I am really looking forward to watching him this fall and at VEGAS XXIX! Kid is dripping with potential and can be one of the greats.

Chaz Satnan, MO
Chaz did really well at the Rubio Long Snapping fall camp in IL on September 25, 2016. Kid is a monster and his Long Snapping form gets better by the second. When he gets his butt down and his back parallel to the ground, he can absolutely throw heat and almost punish the punter. Hovers right in the mid to low .7s and can dip into the .6s when he trust his good form and lets the ball. Controlling that speed with the proper and consistent release point will help with accuracy. Blocks well and hard to get by him. Big upside for a pro style team. Chaz has improved EVERY SINGLE TIME I have seen him in action and that says a lot about his work ethic.

Reeves Blankenship, LA
Impressed with what I saw out of Reeves at the Rubio Long Snapping summer camp in TX on July 7, 2016. He has a great frame and is built thick. Definitely headed to a college body now let alone in a year from now. Ball is pretty darn smooth and accurate. Like to see him extend the ball out a bit more to gain more speed and to trust himself. Confidence will be key. Very good upside on Blankenship. Keep a very close eye on him this fall and at VEGAS XXIX.

Jordan Silver, MO
SMOOOOOOOTH is how I would describe Silver at the Rubio Long Snapping fall camp in TX. Frame is very good and athletic. Moves well on his feet. Passes an eyeball test and will crush it when he puts on just a tad more weight. GREAT attitude. Love to see him lower his butt a bit more in order to get more of his legs involved. This will greatly increase the speed of his ball and get him into the .7s and possibly .6s sooner than he thinks. MASSIVE UPSIDE on Silver.

Trey Icamina, LA
Icamina did really well at the Rubio Long Snapping summer camp in TX on July 7, 2016. He is a strong Long Snapper with good, quick hands that get the ball out of the gate very quickly. Like to see him rise up a bit to use more of his large frame. Also, slow motion drills to get his lower half fully involved will help a ton to ensure he gets more speed on the ball and get up under .8 by the fall camp in TX and definitely by VEGAS XXIX. Kid has a ton of potential.

Justyce Hankins, OK
Justyce did well at the Rubio Long Snapping summer camp in TX on July 7, 2016. He has a very good frame and tons of potential. He can definitely pass an eyeball test quickly. Love to see him focus on using his whole body to gain more speed on the ball. Slow motion drills will be key to make his snapping motion smoother and lock down his consistency. Kid is dripping with potential. Spiral will be another key I will be focused on over the next couple of months as we head into VEGAS XXIX.

Dominic Brocato, LA
Dominic did well at the Rubio Long Snapping summer camp in TX on July 7, 2016. He is a thick and strong Long Snapper with good starting form. Love to see him focus on making sure he is not bouncing prior to the snap and that he gets fully settled in before he starts his snapping motion. That will really help his overall speed and get him into the .7s by VEGAS XXIX in January. I like his attitude and he works hard.

JP Morris, OK, Committed to Mount St. Mary’s!
JP is absolutely oozing with potential after what I saw at the Rubio Long Snapping spring camp in TX on February 28th, 2016. Kid can pass an eyeball test from a 1/4 mile away and looks like a D1 tight end right now. Built really well. Needs to flatten his back at the start and then make sure he gets his lower half fully involved to gain more speed. Need to see him hitting in the .7s, with a tight spiral, by VEGAS XXVIII in May. The upside on JP is off the charts. Once it clicks, he destroys others in his class.

MID AMERICA (Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky)
Joe Calcagno, IL, Committed to Penn State!
OFFER HIM NOW!!! Calcagno is a monster physically and did really well at the Rubio Long Snapping fall camp in IL on September 25, 2016. Built thick and he has great power throughout his body. Ball is crisp and he is snapping with very good speed right now. He has the ability to block and get his head up quickly after a great snap. In college, he will most likely drop a tad bit of weight to get his body downfield a little quicker, but right now, since he also plays line in the CCL, he has to maintain his size. Kid works hard and has very good upside. Love his attitude. The harder he snaps, the better he is. Wouldn’t surprise me one bit to see him leave VEGAS XXIX with a win and a scholarship.

Kasey Kelleher, OH, Offers to Bowling Green and Toledo!
Kelleher did really well at the TOP 12 & EVENT ELITE Camp at the IMG Academy in FL. Strong Long Snapper that can move well on his feet. Ball is powerful and really explodes back to the punter. He can catch a groove and really dominate a camp and all the Long Snappers around him. Locking down his accuracy and consistency will be key as his speed is already at the D1 level. Love his attitude and he has very good upside.

Nate Durham, IL
Nate was a stud at the Rubio Long Snapping fall camp in IL on September 25, 2016 and ended up winning the whole camp! Ball is powerful and he is snapping consistently in the .7s. Body is solid and he can pass an eyeball test.

Matt Hembrough, IL
Hembrough did really well at the Rubio Long Snapping fall camp in IL on September 25, 2016. His snaps are crisp, powerful and have solid speed. He is right in the .7s and will be in the .6s by VEGAS XXIX with some more size. Love to see him be at 210 in January. Kid is an athlete and has great upside. Heck of an attitude and he works hard. Getting up when blocking is going to be a big key in getting to that 5 Star Rubio Long Snapper mark.

Kyle O’Connor, OH, Offer from Army!
Kyle did well at the Rubio Long Snapping fall camp in PA on October 9th, 2016. He has arguably the quickest hands in the country. It is seriously hard to time Kyle at 15 yards. Love to see him adjust his tempo a bit so he doesn’t always just the snap ball right when he gets his hands set. If he can change it up a bit, he will throw off the defensive players a bit and not allow them to predict his snap. Also, his form is EXCELLENT and he needs to TRUST it by just letting the ball fly out of his hands. FULL POWER will push him into the low .6s and completely ready for college. Quiet and dominant is how I expect him to be at VEGAS XXIX.

Zach Appio, IL
Appio looked excellent at the Rubio Long Snapping fall camp in IL on September 25, 2016. CONFIDENCE is through the roof and he was snapping some absolute heat all day. He definitely had some of the fastest times throughout the day with snaps consistently in the .7s and even some dipping into the high .6s. Love to see him focus on putting on some size and making sure he gets back up quicker for blocking purposes. Ball is really crisp and pops to the punter. An extra ten to 15 lbs will do wonders for him and stopping a defender coming through the A gap. Easily could be a 5 Star Rubio Long Snapper by the end of Sunday night at VEGAS XXIX.

Marshall Coluzzi, IL
Coluzzi was solid at the TOP 12 & EVENT ELITE Camp at the IMG Academy in FL. He has a good frame and can move well on his feet going forward or to the side. Form is good and he is a very smooth Long Snapper. Type of kid that just doesn’t miss and his consistency is off the charts. Every single snap looks exactly the same. Over and over. Almost can put you to sleep and that is a good thing for a punter. You always know exactly what you are going to get with Coluzzi. Love to see him to continue to focus on really driving his legs and getting all of his thick body back to the punter to increase overall speed while locking down the spiral and not overthinking. Less thinking will definitely help Coluzzi in the long run. Smooth Long Snapper that will make his punter happy.

Dylan Castro, IL
Dylan looked very solid at the Rubio Long Snapping fall camp in IL on September 25, 2016. Body is thick, he has good power and he is looking more and more athletic every single camp. Ball is extremely smooth and he might be one of the most consistent Long Snappers in the country. He is like a machine with his accuracy. When he really explodes out of the gate, he can EASILY snap in the .7s. Love to see him continue to work on his athleticism and make sure he is getting his head up a bit quicker after the snap to stop a rusher. Quiet assassin out on the field. Wouldn’t surprise me at all to see him break the high score on the Target at VEGAS XXIX.

Cole Stewart, IL
Stewart did really well at the Rubio Long Snapping summer camp in IL on July 9, 2016. Body is strong and his ball is catchable. Accurate Long Snapper with very good consistency. Mark my words, Stewart can easily be one of the best Long Snappers in his class IF he can speed up the starting motion of his hands. Ball tends to be a little slow out of the gate and that gives the defensive man a moment to jump him. If he can speed up his hands, he moves WAY up the rankings. I predict he dominates VEGAS XXIX.

John Davis, IL
Davis did well at the TOP 12 & EVENT ELITE Camp at the IMG Academy in FL. He has an athletic build and snaps a very smooth ball. Form is good and he shows good accuracy. Like to see him snap with more confidence and just let the ball go. Trusting in himself and his form will push him well under the .78 mark of snapping to the punter. Confidence will be key in everything he does: snapping, blocking and running. Getting closer and I like his attitude. He has the ability to handle pressure well.

NORTHEAST (Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Vermont, New York, Connecticut and Rhode Island)
Kevin Crabtree, MA, Committed to Villanova!
Crabtree did really well at the TOP 12 & EVENT ELITE Camp at the IMG Academy in FL. He is a large Long Snapper with good upper body power. Smooth and quick snap that is right on with his accuracy. Love to see him get his large lower half down a bit more to ensure more overall speed on the ball. Tends to keep his butt up and rush the process just a tad. Settling and really exploding will get him in the .6s and be more accurate as well. Just about to hit his stride. I would bet by XXIX, he dominates the whole thing.

Brian Keating, CT
Brian had a solid performance at the Spring Rubio Long Snapping Camp in New Jersey. Was very accurate all day, and had decent velocity on the ball. Needs to engage his legs more and try to reduce a slight hitch in his snap to make everything quicker. Know he will put the effort in and work to be great.

Carson Tebbetts, CT
Carson showed me some good things at the Rubio Long Snapping VEGAS XXVIII Event on May 21-22, 2016. He has a good frame and moves with power through agility parts of Vegas. Like to see him gain a bit more control on his feet. Definitely comes in hot but can be a tad out of balance. Snaps are very smooth, accurate and consistent. He is like a machine when snapping. TRUSTING in his good form will help a lot with speed and getting him under .80 on a regular basis. He can do this and I know it….I need him to know it.

Harry Blair, NY
Harry showed a ton of potential at the Rubio Long Snapping camp in New Jersey. He is extremely long and was snapping very accurately all day. Think if he shifts his weight back slightly, and really explodes back to the punter rather than falling forward after he snaps he can put more heat on the ball. Combine that with the consistency he showed with his accuracy and he can be very good.

Ryan McNeil, MA
McNeil had waves of brilliance at the Rubio Long Snapping VEGAS XXVII Event on January 21-22, 2016. He has a good frame and that ability to put on some good weight over the next year. Ball is smooth, catchable and he has very good accuracy. Hands are quick and they reach back well (why the good accuracy). LOVE to see him do slow motion drills to focus on using all of his legs. If he can get his long legs involved, he will put a hole in the punter and easily be in the low .7s. TONS of upside. Good attitude. At XXVIII in May, he should be focused on EVENT ELITE and nothing else.

ATLANTIC (Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Washington D.C., Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia)
Billy Taylor, NJ
Liked what I saw out of Billy at the TOP 12 & EVENT ELITE Camp at the IMG Academy in FL. Billy has a good frame and he can move well on his feet. Form is solid and he can snap a quick ball. Confidence will be key as he moves up the rankings. Love to see him not think so much and really just let the ball fly out of his hands.Trusting his form and believing in himself will help a ton. Ball can pop back to the punter when he follows all the way through. Right on the cusp of greatness.

Tristan Sokach-Minnick, PA
Tristan showed me some good things at the Rubio Long Snapping VEGAS XXVII Event on January 21-22, 2016. First off, he can pass an eyeball test quickly. Moves well on his feet but I would like to see him focus on not running so high so he be a bit more agile. Ball has power when it comes off his hands. Wouldn’t be surprised to see him in the .6s by XXVIII in May and throughout his senior year. He was on my short list of TOP 12 members. He should be all over the EVENT ELITE if he does what I know he can. Very good attitude and lots of upside.

Ryan Schwind, VA
Ryan did really well at the Rubio Long Snapping summer camp in NC on July 11, 2016. He is a very smooth and consistent Long Snapper with each snap looking the same. It is like a machine snapping out there. His overall form is good and he has solid accuracy. Love to see him focus on getting his eyes all the way through with each snap to ensure even more speed and accuracy. Ryan is right on the cusp of greatness. I KNOW he can be dominant and I need him to know it as well. He could/should DOMINATE the fall and VEGAS XXIX!

Ryan Cassidy, NJ
Ryan showed a ton of promise at the Rubio Long Snapping Camp in New Jersey on May 7th, 2016. Extremely athletic and long with a powerful snap. Needs to aim a little lower and let the ball climb naturally back to the punter. Small tweaks away from being dominant.

Nick Low, VA, Committed to Chicago!
Low did well at the Rubio Long Snapping spring camp in NC. Body is thick and he has good power. Hands are VERY quick and his form is coming along really nicely. SMART Long Snapper with good zip. More he trusts his form to let the ball go and locks down his spiral, he will dominate. Great attitude.

SOUTHEAST (Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi and Florida)
Thomas Fletcher, FL, Committed to Alabama!
OFFER HIM YESTERDAY!!! COMPLETELY DOMINATED at the TOP 12 & EVENT ELITE Camp at the IMG Academy in FL and it wasn’t even close. His form is flawless, his hands are quick and he is getting bigger. No one is even close to him right now and he is, easily, the best Long Snapper in the country. You could put him in a competition with any other high school, and a heavy majority of college kids, and Fletcher would win. Just start the competition and walk away as the winner will be decided for you as soon as Fletcher touches the ball. I will say it again, Fletcher is THE BEST LONG SNAPPER IN THE COUNTRY AND IT IS NOT EVEN CLOSE

Mitch Hall, NC, Committed to Louisville!
OFFER HIM NOW!!! Mitch did really well at the FBU TOP GUN camp and at the TOP 12 & EVENT ELITE Camp at the IMG Academy in FL. He is still growing like a weed and has a frame that will hold at least another forty lbs in college. Ball is smooth, very accurate and he handles pressure like a champ. Snaps are fast and will be even quicker when he doesn’t ease into the snapping motion. Being a little quicker out of the gate will really get the ball flying out of his hands and make him pop in front of the recruiters. Memphis offered a great one in Mitch. EXCELLENT ATTITUDE.

Jacob Potter, GA
Potter did really well at the TOP 12 & EVENT ELITE Camp at the IMG Academy in FL. He is a thick, strong Long Snapper with great power in his snap. Body is tough. Moving better on his feet and starting to be a factor heading downfield. Ball is smooth and catchable. Like to see him continue to get his butt down a bit more to get more of his massive lower half involved which will give him more speed. Also, driving his elbows will help with speed as well. Kid has come a long way and just continues to improve.

Raymond Freeman, FL, Committed to Air Force!
Freeman did extremely well at the Rubio Long Snapping summer camp in GA on July 12, 2016. He is an athletic Long Snapper that is a true factor on punt coverage. Ball is VERY fast and can punish the punter. Air Force definitely got a player in Freeman. His hands are like rockets and the ball will jump back to the punter. When Freeman just snaps with confidence and lets the ball fly, he is absolutely incredible. Locking down the spiral will move him even farther up. I would be shocked to not see him as a 5 Star Rubio Long Snapper at XXIX in January.

Austin Reeves, NC
Reeves is hitting his stride and showed me some great things at the FBU TOP GUN camp and the TOP 12 & EVENT ELITE Camp at the IMG Academy in FL. Reeves has a solid frame and moves well on his feet. Smart Long Snapper with a smooth release and great accuracy. Power and confidence will be the biggest factors I look for in making him a 5 Star Rubio Long Snapper by XXIX. Love his attitude and he is a workhorse.

Paul Lawless, FL
Lawless had a great early October fall camp in Florida. He is very long and athletic and snapped well all day. Some small tweaks in his stance by dropping his hips a little will help his ball from rising up. Great kid and attitude who is very close to being great. Relaxing and letting his body do all of the work. CONFIDENCE will be huge with him at VEGAS XXIX. No need to think at all for Lawless.

Matthew Smith, GA
Matthew did really well at the Rubio Long Snapping summer camp in GA on July 12, 2016. He is an excellent athlete that moves extremely well on his feet. Ball is crisp and powerful back to the punter. Ball can be very fast and when he lowers his back to parallel, he can get in the .6s. When he focuses on getting his butt down and just Long Snapping, he is EASILY one of the top kids in the state and even country. Massive amount of upside on Matthew. Watch him dominate at VEGAS XXIX.

Ryan Culbertson, SC
Culbertson did well at the FBU TOP GUN camp and at the TOP 12 & EVENT ELITE Camp at the IMG Academy in FL. Good, solid frame and he is a hard worker. Starting form is solid and he snaps a very smooth and catchable ball. Needs to make sure he just completely unleashes all of his power on every snap. When he is timid, he doesn’t drive his elbows and the ball will fall of the table towards the end of the snap to the punter BUT when he snaps with confidence and lets the ball fly, he is completely different and dominates. Moving in the right direction and has good upside. Great kid.

Thomas Zozus, FL
Tommy did really well at the Rubio Long Snapping summer camp in GA on July 12, 2016. He is sitting on a ton of potential and is definitely one to watch over the next year. I fully expect him to dominate this fall and make a major name for himself at VEGAS XXIX in January. Body is good and he can pass an eyeball test. For his size, he moves really well on his feet and is an athlete. Love to see him focus on not rolling into his snap and making sure he is VERY quick out of the gate. Kid is dripping with promise. WATCH HIM.

William Stover, NC
Stover showed me some good things at the Rubio Long Snapping VEGAS XXVIII Event on May 21-22, 2016. He moved well on his feet during the agility section of Vegas and his hands are quick. Nice, powerful snap that gets back to the punter with good accuracy. Love to see him really focus on getting his lower half fully involved to create even more speed on the ball. Also, locking down his release point will help with his consistency. He is very close to being “there” with his snaps. Keep a very close eye on him this summer and fall. He should absolutely dominate XXIX.

Top 2018 Long Snappers by Region

Here is a look at the TOP 2018 Long Snappers in each region of the country.

NORTHWEST (States of Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Alaska)
Spencer Luce, WA
Spencer showed me some good things at the Rubio Long Snapping spring camp in WA on April 24, 2016. He is a Long Snapper with nice, large frame and has the ability to snap the ball with excellent power. I REALLY need to see him snap the ball with a tight spiral. Ball comes back quick and hard BUT if there is no spiral, it will be very tricky to catch for the punters. Spiral is going to be key. He locks it down and he moves way up the charts.

PACIFIC (California, Nevada, Arizona and Hawaii)
Ross Reiter, AZ
Reiter did really well at the TOP 12 & EVENT ELITE Camp at the IMG Academy in FL. I purposely put him under a lot of pressure situations and he dominated all of them. Ball is beyond crisp and just gorgeous to watch. He always does an excellent job of making sure he accomplished what you want him to do. Ask Reiter to do something and just consider it done. Built strong and tough. He is very close to a 5 Star Rubio Long Snapper.

ROCKY MOUNTAIN (Montana, Wyoming, Utah and Colorado)
Jesse Hooper, UT
Hooper showed me some great things at the Rubio Long Snapping VEGAS XXVIII Event on May 21-22, 2016. He moves with good aggression on his feet. Like to see him increase his 40 time a bit but the kid moves with passion and rage….I love it. Love to see him focus on locking down his spiral and leading with his elbows to create more whip. With as much power as he snaps with, he should EASILY be under .80 but the lack of spiral really crushed the speed. TONS of upside and he is right on the cusp. Keep a very close eye on this kid.

SOUTHWEST (New Mexico and Texas)
Karsten Battles, TX
Battles did really well at the Rubio Long Snapping summer camp in TX on July 7, 2016. He is a Long Snapper with good athleticism that can be a factor going downfield on punt coverage. He can pass an eyeball test quickly and already looks the part of a college athlete. Love to see him focus on really getting set and making sure he doesn’t rush the process. Tends to jump the gun a bit and that will play with his spiral and accuracy. Kid is dripping with potential and can easily be one of the best in his class. Watch him at VEGAS XXIX.

NORTH CENTRAL (North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa and Nebraska)
Ross Hinders, IA
Hinders did really well at the TOP 12 & EVENT ELITE Camp at the IMG Academy in FL. He is a very athletic Long Snapper that moves well on his feet. Starting form is solid and he does a good job of getting his lower half fully involved in the snapping process. Like to see him lean back a bit more to make sure he doesn’t fall forward which can impact his accuracy and consistency. Getting fully set and leaning back while continuing to put on size will move him up. Quiet and deadly with his snaps.

SOUTH CENTRAL (Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana)
Evan Gibson, LA
Evan did really well at the Rubio Long Snapping summer camp in TX on July 7, 2016 and at the Underclassmen Invitational at the IMG Academy in FL. Body is looking very solid and he is built strong. Mature for his age. He has some very quick hands that really get the ball out of the gate quickly. Love to see him focus on slow motion drills to make sure he gets his lower half fully involved to gain more speed on the ball. With his frame and form, he could easily be under .8 by XXIX.

MID AMERICA (Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky)
Roen McCullough, OH
Roen did well at the TOP 12 & EVENT ELITE Camp at the IMG Academy in FL. Body is great and, when he is on, he can put a hole in the punter. He can easily be the fastest Long Snapper in the country for his age or the year above him. Making sure he is not over-gripping the ball so his spiral stays perfect and handling pressure will be the two biggest factors I check for this fall and at VEGAS XXIX in January. The ball is in Roen’s court and I know he can do it. When it clicks, he will take the top spot and it won’t be close.

NORTHEAST (Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Vermont, New York, Connecticut and Rhode Island)
Matthew Aloni, NY
Big jump in the rankings and well deserved for Aloni after watching him at the Rubio Long Snapping summer camp in NC on July 11, 2016. Snaps are crisp, clean and very catchable. Form is solid and his body is able to pass an eyeball test quickly. Very good upside on Aloni. Love to see him focus on snapping with total CONFIDENCE and making sure he is whipping his arms through to create more overall speed on the ball. Like to see him under .78 by this fall and VEGAS XXIX.

ATLANTIC (Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Washington D.C., Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia)
Michael Vojvodich, VA
Michael did really well at the Rubio Long Snapping summer camp in NC. He is a VERY athletic Long Snapper that can fly downfield. Absolute factor on punt coverage and can be a game changer in coverage. Form is solid and he snaps with good power. Love to see him focus on completely locking down his spiral by VEGAS XXIX and making sure he is always going back instead of up and back, at times. Massive upside and I love what I see from Michael. Keep a close eye on him….TOP 12?????

SOUTHEAST (Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi and Florida)
Oscar Shadley, FL, Offer to Marshall!
Shadley did really well at the TOP 12 & EVENT ELITE Camp at the IMG Academy in FL. First off, his frame is excellent for his age…he practically looks like he could play in college right now. Upside on him at this point is off the charts. Ball is accurate, he has good speed and he handles pressure well. Locking down the spiral and making sure he is fully in control of his consistency moves him into the top spot by XXIX in January.

Coach, Please take some time to listen to your Long Snapper

2015 Spring Rubio bannerCoach…Please allow me to warm up before you want me to snap live in practice. Think about it, would you really have your starting QB sit for 30 minutes and then tell him to throw a perfect 45 yard post? I didn’t think so.

Please take my craft seriously. I know you don’t think much of it, but I do. To me, Long Snapping is a main part of who I am now and who I plan to be in the future.

Please don’t just give me some lineman pads because I am on the line. I need to be able to move my arms. They actually make pads for my position. I swear they do. If you can find money in the booster fund for QB pads, maybe there is some funds for me as well.

Please don’t just rush past my snaps on film. Just like  other players can learn from film, so can I. If you don’t want to watch, maybe just allow me some time to watch on my own. I want to get better, allow me to do so.

Please treat me, and my position, with respect. I deserve it and so does anyone that plays Long Snapper. It is not the easiest thing to do and should be highly respected. If you think I am off on this one, try playing a game without a Long Snapper and see how that works out for you and the team.

Please trust me when I tell you that people actually do get recruited for Long Snapping nowadays. It is not like the old days when colleges just “found someone” on the team to do it. Don’t believe me? Look HERE

Coach, please listen to me.

– The Long Snapper

A Guide For Rubio Long Snapping Parents on Game Day

As season starts, parents can tend to be filled with tons of emotions: joy, excitement, fear, nervousness, etc. All are normal and should be felt if your son is going to play on Friday, Saturday or even Sunday. Here are a couple of things to remember….

  1. You aren’t the first parent to go through this and you won’t be the last. Just like I tell my Long Snappers, if someone else has done it, so can you.
  2. Know that your son is well prepared. Odds are, if you are reading this, your son has been to a Rubio Long Snapping camp in the past couple months and got great instruction. Not only did he, but you did so as well. Remember when I brought you on the field? I don’t do that just because I want to spray with some people closer to my age. I do it so you can learn and teach your son when I am not around….and you have been doing that, right:)
  3. Review the mental aspect with your son before the game. Remind him, and yourself, that he, and you, are ready for this and he, and you, will dominate the moment.
  4. Make sure you hire someone else to film the game (one of your son’s friends or something….”Hey Johnny, here’s ten bucks, film the whole game, do it well, keep the camera on the Long Snapper and keep quiet”) so you can focus on the whole experience and not be stuck behind a camera seeing the game through a three inch screen.
  5. Prepare for the game with your son. After he snaps a great ball, you will want to give him signals to show him how great he did…thumbs up, big outstretched arms emulating a Rubio hug, blow him a kiss (get his lady friends involved).

Breathe. Have fun. Believe in your son. Have confidence in him. Trust me, it will overflow into him.

Enjoy every single moment you have with your children. This is an incredible time in your life and you need to embrace every single second of it.

Questions Regarding the College Camps

As you know, hopefully, Chris Sailer and I have posted the schedule of college camps we will be running this summer. Trust me when I tell you, we could have run another 30 of them for the coaches that asked us, but we simply don’t have time.

BIGGEST THING TO KNOW ABOUT COLLEGE CAMPS is to NOT wear yourself out by trying to hit all of them. As a Long Snapper, you should hit about three. Think of yourself like a pitcher in baseball…you have a pitch count. The more you snap, the worse you will do. One bad performance can crush you in recruiting as all coaches speak to each other. DO NOT waste your time and money by hitting too many camps.

Here are the top five questions regarding the college camps (Alabama, Texas A&M, LSU, Oregon, Cal, Miami, Georgia, Washington, Cincinnati)….

  1. How do you get invited? You don’t. They are open to all 8th graders – JC. Some schools might be a tad different so check on their respective site. Younger Long Snappers should focus on the regional Rubio Long Snapping camps and FBU.
  2. How do I sign up for the camp(s)? You go to their football site and register. You can also call the football office.
  3. At what age do you recommend my son goes to a college camp? The time to shine will be in between his junior and senior summer (unless you are a freak, in a good way, and then I would highly recommend dominating between sophomore and junior year). However, I personally recommend going as early as possible to cut the jitters. It can be very stressful snapping in front of a high profile coach and you want to get the feeling out of the way early, when they most likely won’t be paying attention to you.
  4. Will the camp(s) be run like your personal camps? Not really. I am hired to run their camp so I am on their schedule. If they want 40 minutes of blocking, that’s what we will be doing. If a coach wants to see John Smith snap thirty in a row, that’s what they get. These camps are more showcases. PLEASE NOTE: I will NOT, under any circumstances, have my Long Snappers just snap to snap. I know that is ignorant and I won’t stand for it. DOUBLE PLEASE NOTE: if you are at a college camp that Rubio Long Snapping is not running, godspeed.
  5. Will you be ranking from the college camps? No. Per NCAA rules, I am not allowed to rank and/or evaluate from the college camps. You could be absolutely phenomenal and I would not be able to rank you or invite to the TOP 12 and EVENT ELITE Camp. If you are at a college camp and someone does invite you to their “invite only” camp, they are breaking a very big rule.

If you any other questions, please feel free to comment on this blog so I can answer it and maybe clear up someone else’s confusion as well.

What Do You Get at a Rubio Long Snapping Camp?

INSTRUCTION – There is simply no doubt that you will receive the best instruction in the country at a Rubio Long Snapping camp. It is unprecedented and known by college and NFL coaches throughout the country. When you sign up for a Rubio Long Snapping camp, you get perfection. I am there, my senior staff is there, on time and we don’t leave early.

EXPOSURE – Every camp that Rubio Long Snapping run offers the most exposure possible for Long Snappers. I bombard several avenues to make sure my Long Snappers are visible to all. The Rubio Long Snapping YouTube Channel has over 970,000 views (this is all just for Long Snapper….NO kickers are on the page). RubiosBlog.com has been viewed well over 1,000,000 times. @TheChrisRubio on Twitter has over 5,750 followers (many of which are coaches) and the Rubio Long Snapping Facebook Page has over 5,600 followers (many of which are coaches) and stories in publications all over the world make Rubio Long Snapping the one stop shop for the most exposure in the country.

PLAYER PROFILE PAGE – As soon as you perform in a camp in the fall (or after) of your freshman year, you get a PLAYER PROFILE PAGE….for free! This player profile page is controlled by me and it can have any information you wanted added to it at anytime. You can use it for your recruiting purposes throughout high school.

RANKINGS – As soon as you perform in a camp in the fall (or after) of your freshman year, you get a ranking. I don’t rank off a target. I don’t rank off a formula. That would be ignorant. I rank off of THIS blog that describes what makes a Long Snapper great. That ranking can be adjusted anytime I see you live. Coaches look to these rankings religiously in their recruiting of Long Snappers.

YOUTUBE VIDEO – At every single Rubio Long Snapping camp you attend, you will be filmed for a YouTube video. Those videos will be placed on your free player profile page. You can use the video at your own discretion. It is yours and there is no extra charge for this service.

FILM SESSION – At Rubio Long Snapping camps, I will go in with you to a classroom and review the morning sessions. Long Snappers attend but I really want the parents/guardians to attend as well since this is when a majority of the learning will take place.

RECRUITING SEMINAR – At Rubio Long Snapping camp, Chris Sailer and I run an hour long recruiting seminar where we hit on some key topics and always open it up to a Q&A session for the specialists and parents. You will not leave without all your questions answered.

PROVEN SUCCESS – Dont’ believe me? See what others have to say HERE

RUBIO LONG SNAPPING SHIRT – You know, to wear at prom and such:)

Trust me when I tell you, I could keep this list going and going and going. Things like Friendship, Confidence, Humor are just some immediate things that pop into my head….see you soon! Remember, Not only on the field, but off. I am not your coach. I am your Rubio and I will be there for you.

Rubio Long Snapping NFL Camp

291116_2368646975707_1857804060_oRubio Long Snapping has an excellent tradition of high school, college and NFL success.  Established in 1999, Chris Sailer & Chris Rubio have worked with thousands of youth, high school, college and professional kickers, punters and long snappers.

Over the years, they built strong and lasting relationships with high school, college and NFL coaches.  The trust that has been built based on on the field training/technique, evaluations and recommendations is untouchable.

NFL coaches have asked us to step deeper into the NFL recruitment process and the Long Snappers have asked us to set up a non-biased camp that simply showcases their talents for the NFL. We have made that happen with coaches present and high quality video being shot for each Long Snapper.

After the camp, Rubio Long Snapping will send out a detailed evaluation of each Long Snapper. This simple email sparked SEVERAL NFL tryouts last year.

Rubio Long Snapping and Chris Sailer Kicking will hold its 2nd Annual NFL combine March 17th in Las Vegas, NV.
